What do you know? [completed]
Characters: Marluxia and Repliku
Content: Experiments!
Setting: Who knows?
Time: Who knows?
Warnings: Um... There are definitely some here, just not entirely sure what they are yet
Normally, Marluxia hated to be kept waiting. Now was no different.
But when he saw just who the Dusks had brought him, a wicked smile creeped onto the Nobody's face. Well, wasn't this lucky? Just who he'd wanted to see...
The boy had become far too attached to the witch for his liking. He'd see what he could to do break that relationship off, as well as make sure he didn't know too much.
Marluxia gestured toward the table for the Dusks to strap him in, watching every movement.

The boy had become far too attached to the witch for his liking. He'd see what he could to do break that relationship off, as well as make sure he didn't know too much.
Marluxia gestured toward the table for the Dusks to strap him in, watching every movement.

Only when the Dusks had managed to strap him down to the table the replica bothered to look around. What he saw was rather displeasing, to put it lightly. "You," he spat venomously. Why couldn't this guy just stay dead like he was supposed to? Stupid Paixao and it's messed up timelines.
no subject
Marluxia approached the boy, looking down at him with suspicion. "Although you seem to think we have. Now why is that?"
The Nobody was mainly talking to himself, and he was sure this Repliku boy knew it. After all, Marluxia didn't expect him to begin blurting out every little thing he knew.
At least, not without a little help.
"Maybe someone told you? Someone... close to you?"
no subject
He couldn't allow himself to feel relief though, something told him this would change soon. "No," he replied as he narrowed his eyes at the man. He hardly had anyone close to him anyway...Wait.
Naminé.
Was he accusing Naminé?
no subject
The Nobody stalked around Repliku, studying him closely. "Then how?" He stopped, and before the boy could answer added "You aren't going to make me have to find out myself, are you?"
no subject
He gritted his teeth at first, prepared to just ignore the question until he remembered something. "The Resistance," he lied easily. The Resistance did know quite a bit after all so perhaps the lie would work.
no subject
"That won't do." The Nobody took a few steps closer, until he was right next to the table. "Tell me what they told you."
The boy's lie would be easy to catch him in.
no subject
Just because he was lying didn't mean he was going to rat them out. They had a goal that Repliku shared and he didn't intent on giving any information about them even though Timon already had.
no subject
"Then I suppose you leave me no choice," he sighed, before an almost catlike grin spread across his face. "I'll just have to see for myself, won't I?"
He froze barely a step after sampling Repliku's memories, and immediately the Nobody whipped around, giving the boy a cold, hard stare.
No. There was no way this could be right. How could it? His plan... How could his plan...?!
He grabbed Repliku by the chin, forcing the boy to look at him. "You are going to explain everything to me."
no subject
'No' lay on the tip of his tongue but then, the explanation was simple wasn't it? "I'm from the future." It was his turn to grin. Really, no other explanation was needed. He'd just seen his memories after all.
no subject
Namine? He grit his teeth. This boy's memories showed that she had rebelled against him... She'd given Repliku memories... took them away... they'd both stood up against him. But no. She was firmly under his wing. She was still his witch.
Then...
Future, he said? Future...
There was no evidence to the contrary... This could indeed be the case. All he had to do was make sure he didn't trust Axel, maybe have a few other pawns besides the Keyblade Master, kept a closer eye on Namine... Of course, he'd do well to keep this knowledge from Larxene. Who knew how she would use it.
Finally, Marluxia's grip began to loosen and he laughed. "You might have your uses."
no subject
"I won't be used by you! Besides," There was a bit of the usual cockiness in his voice now. "You won't ever succeed no matter what you do."
no subject
"On the contrary," he began, taking a few steps away from the boy, "You've given me just the information I need." Another laugh, this time a low, sinister chuckle. "And if you refuse to cooperate, I'm sure there are ways to change your mind."
no subject
"Feh! I told you, you'll just fail again." He said as he sharply turned his head away. Of course, he'd lost his advantage now but it was one that had only been discovered a few moments ago so it hardly made a difference. It was just too bad he'd never gotten to use it.
He stubbornly ignored Marluxia's remark about changing his mind, making it pretty obvious how he felt about cooperating.
no subject
"You don't care about yourself? How noble. After all, if I fail, won't your fate remain the same as before?"
no subject
"Does it matter?" A different fate wouldn't change who he was - a simple replica. He was still a fake, no matter what happened. That was something he had figured out a long time ago.
no subject
"No one at all. That's what you've always believed." The Nobody stopped in his tracks, looking off to the side. "But maybe..."
no subject
"...What?" He cast a suspicious look at the man. Whatever Marluxia had to say was no good but still...he was curious.
no subject
A venomous smirk. "Or you could rise above what you are and become something better. Taking down the Organization is no small accomplishment. Do that and you can claim a right to exist. Do it before Sora and you will have even surpassed the keyblade master. All you need to do is trust me and you will have everything you could ever want."
no subject
Though that certainly changed when Marluxia explained his other possible 'path'. He had the replica's full attention then and the Organization member's words struck a chord despite himself. Of course, Repliku still wanted to be his own person. His existence as it was he considered to be miserable. Even after dying he was nothing but a clone. So it was only natural what Marluxia had to say sounded good.
However, those words also sounded a lot like Axel's had when he had gotten the replica to kill Zexion and take his powers. That hadn't helped, so why would this?
Still, at that time it had been to surpass his original, to surpass Riku. But if he became better than even Sora then maybe he could actually become someone. If he were to take the Organization down then...
His thoughts grew conflicted and in a desperate attempt to hide this, to hide the fact Marluxia's words did have an effect on him, he turned to the one thing he couldn't do. "How can I when you even kidnap harmless children?" He asked as he looked Marluxia straight in the eye with the fiercest glare he could muster in his current state.
no subject
All he needed to do was water them and see how they grew.
"We do what we must," he replied. "In order to further your goals, sometimes you have to do what others won't."
"And it was not I who took the girl." They'd merely had a chat.
no subject
"Let her go!!"
The replica's rage might have been something to fear if he wasn't so helplessly bound to a simple table. Obviously he didn't care who took her. The Organization worked together as a whole in his eyes. Marluxia may be a traitor but he was still working with them here and so, he was someone Repliku could blame.
no subject
His expression changed to that of slight annoyance. "Behavior like that will get you nowhere. You should show a little respect. Unless you'd rather I take my offer back?"
"Being a fake must be more appealing to you than you let on."
no subject
He turned his head away again, looking very much like a scorned child, as he muttered, "I don't care..." Although they both knew better. His tough acts wouldn't work here but that didn't stop him from using them. Old habits die hard and all that.
no subject
"You should," the Nobody replied easily. "After all," he leaned in, "Your fate is your decision."
no subject
"What of Naminé?"
no subject
It was true, to a point. What reason did Marluxia have to get rid of one of his greatest tools? As long as he got what he wanted, no harm would come to her. "Do we have a deal?"
no subject
"Fine," he replied eventually.
no subject
no subject
What he said rang true to the replica. He had done everything he could in Castle Oblivion to become his own person and every attempt had failed miserably. He didn't know any other way so Marluxia might actually be his only way, as much as he hated that. He could only nod reluctantly.
no subject
That had gone far better than he could have ever imagined. Although... now he had a lot to think about.
no subject
Without protest the replica went along with the dusks, this time somewhat willingly. He would see how this all would play out...
