Some Meeting [Completed]
Characters: The Prinny Squad, Adell, and Sinspawn
Content: A reunion is cut a bit short by unwanted, rather hostile guests.
Setting: Somewhere between the Muspelheim and Joutenheim gates (around M5)
Time: Early Afternoon
Warnings: Likely some violence...bloody Sinspawn.
Keesling had forgotten that he was still a rather attractive shade of pink. It was the least of his worries right now, however - he'd found his squad. They were coming to get him. He had to go meet them. He didn't want to be on his own anymore.
While Keesling was taking things at a quick but exhausted trot, Bellatrix and Freidrich were all but sprinting. They'd found out where their missing squad member was, they'd heard he'd been hurt, and they weren't waiting any longer to find him.
Of course, this meant that when all three rounded the same corner going in different directions, it took a few very quick dodges to avoid what would've been a rather painful collision. Each of them skidded to a stop and whirled around, Keesling a bit slower than the others. There was a split second of silence, then:
"DOOD!"
The next second, all three prinnies were in a huge group hug, Bellatrix and Freidrich exclaiming loudly and excitedly and Keesling silently clinging to the both of them. Paint and kidnapping and the Organization be damned - he was back with his squad.

Because of his slower pace halting to avoid collision had been much more easier for him and he was left standing on the corner to watch the reunion scene unfold before him. A smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he watched. So they had finally found him...
Though he was still left to wonder just why the hell Larxene had painted the prinny pink, of all things.

But regardless of how harmless it may or may not have looked it still intended to attempt to kill those gathered. But first, it would need to get a bit closer.

It was when they'd finally plopped him down and straightened up that they caught sight of the...the thing. It looked like a human with tentacles, which, despite the inherent strangeness of the Netherworld, all three prinnies knew was out of place and unnatural.
"Stay here," Bellatrix ordered as Keesling shifted, intending to get up. "You rest. Freidrich and I will take care of this, dood." Her knives were at the ready by the time she'd finished talking, Freidrich following with his shortly after. For now, they'd watch the thing. If it did anything threatening, it would have two prinnies attempting to stab it.
no subject
Though before he did anything to engage combat he made his way over to Keesling, handing him some ABC gums with a reassuring grin. The prinny looked exhausted and although he didn't have anything against exhaustion maybe the gum would help a little.
Once he had handed over the healing items Adell joined the other two prinnies and took on his usual fighting stance. He'd been waiting for something like this!
no subject
But it had ways around that, casting Protect on itself before waiting to see how its new-found friends would react.

Bellatrix, the more patient of the battle-ready prinnies, simply waited as the thing cast its spell. It didn't look like it was meant to affect anybody but the caster, so it wasn't something to worry about at the moment. She kept a wary eye on the creature, still waiting for it to make the first move. Just because they were ready for battle didn't mean there had to be one.
Freidrich, already tired of waiting, had no such thoughts. "Go on!" he yelled at the creature. "Get outta here, dood!"
no subject
And he was just about to do that until one of the prinnies started yelling. He briefly glanced at Freidrich. Would that really work? Adell paused, curious to see if the creature would listen.
no subject
Destroy whatever stood in its path. Regardless of who or what they were.
Go away? Rather, it would draw nearer, tentacles twitching forward, ready to grab onto whoever was the first to charge. Or whoever was the first to attack.
no subject
Unfortunately, Bellatrix's plan B and Freidrich's plan B differed greatly. She'd planned to fall back and use a distance attack - those tentacles looked nasty.. Freidrich, however, just charged in, knives at the ready.
"Wait, dood!" Bellatrix called after him, but it was too late for that. Sighing, she fell back and pulled a bomb out of her fanny pack. Well, if all else failed, she was armed as well, and with any luck she wouldn't have to get too close to the creature.
no subject
He was right there behind Freidrich, charging at the creature with his fists though he took more care in his step so he was ready to dodge out of the way of those tentacles if needed.
no subject
Besides, if they were held in place, it would be just that much easier to land a blow on them.
no subject
Bellatrix, after taking a short moment to wonder just how both Freidrich and Adell managed to get themselves caught so quickly, stuck to her own Plan B and fell back, running a half circle around the creature and being careful to stay out of range of its tentacles. She had no qualms attacking a monster from behind, especially while it was distracted, and she waited until she saw the creature's back before she lobbed the oversized bomb at it, not waiting to see if it hit before pulling another bomb out of her fanny pack and throwing it at the creature as well.
Poor Keesling simply stayed on the bench, worried about his squad and knowing that, despite the bit of energy the gum had given him, he still wasn't fit enough to help fight.
no subject
That was until he noticed what Bellatrix was up to from the corner of his eye and he stilled. He'd wait until after the bombs had struck (or not) before striking himself, if possible with a Vulcan Blaze.
no subject
Or at least, it was until the first of the bombs hit - while it hadn't escaped the spawn's notice that someone was coming up on it from behind it had no idea what a bomb was or at least not until the first one exploded rather painfully at its back. The second one, on the other hand was caught by a couple of tentacle (just barely, admittedly, but still caught) and tossed rather carelessly aside, before the Spawn turned to face Bellatrix - pulling its captives along for the ride as it did so.
no subject
Keesling, on the other hand, had had an idea. The thing had been taken by surprise from behind, so why couldn't it happen again? He hauled himself off the bench, hobbling just a bit as he regained his balance. Pulling a bomb out of his fanny pack, he heaved it at the creature's back, wincing in pain and disappointment as his throw fell slightly short. The bomb might still hit the creature, and even if it didn't it should land close enough to do some damage.
[Divide and conquer, folks. :D]
no subject
Well then...he raised his fist and punched the Sinspawn. Hard. It should be hard enough to send the creature stumbling backwards and right into the bomb but Adell had no idea how resilient it was or if his blow would even land.
no subject
But the Sinspawn still had tricks of it's own to play and a captive audience as it were. There was more than one use for it tentacles, a pulse of Drain spreading through its tentacles to pair it still held hostage. Why bother knowing Cure spells when you could just steal what that would have given from your enemies, hurting them in the process?
It was so much more efficient~ this way.
no subject
Keesling watched in dismay. Sure, the bomb had hit, but it hadn't helped much and now something worse was happening. The creature was still facing away from him, though, and he was closer to it (though still safely out of reach of those tentacles). Pulling another bomb out of his pouch, he lobbed it at the creature as hard as he could.
At the same time, Bellatrix was forced to come up with a new strategy very quickly. She had to get Freidrich and Adell out of the creature's grasp, but she couldn't get close enough to use her knives - oh wait.
She jumped high into the air, pulling multitudes of knives out of her fanny pack - who knew just how many she had in there? - and hurling them down at the creature. "Take this, dood!" With any luck, she'd be able to cut the tentacles holding her friends hostage, or take out the creature itself, or maybe both if she were lucky.
no subject
Adell fought the creature's hold once more, tearing and pulling at the tentacles in the hope of getting himself free so he could land a proper killing blow.
no subject
And with yet another bomb exploding at it's back, even what little it had managed to get out of the Drain wasn't enough to keeping form being very nearly dead.
But it wasn't going let them have the satisfaction of being the ones to take it down, as it pulled the trapped pair in close with its ruined tentacles before self-destructing in one last explosion of energy and pyreflies.
no subject
The words were barely out of his beak when the creature exploded.
All three prinnies were yelling after that - Freidrich in pain and Bellatrix and Keesling in surprise. Both of them rushed forwards as the explosion subsided, Keesling stumbling and nearly falling on the way. Bellatrix reached Freidrich first, hauling him to his feet as best she could. "C'mon," she said quietly, trying to be gentle. "Let's go, dood." Two members of her squad were hurt and she was tired - they wouldn't be going anywhere else today. Everybody needed to rest.
Freidrich finally made his way over to Bellatrix and Freidrich, doing his best to help Freidrich to keep upright. With Freidrich (somewhat) taken care of, Bellatrix turned her attention to the other person injured in the blast. "Hey," she called to Adell. "Are you okay, dood?"
no subject
"Y,Yeah, I'll be fine," he answered as he rose to his feet a little unsteadily. At least the damn monster was gone now.
no subject
"Good, dood," Was Bellatrix's reply as she turned back to her squad. Normally she'd be a bit more concerned about Adell, but he looked as though he'd be okay, whereas her squad looked like it was about to fall apart. She had her priorities, after all. Making her way over to them, she pushed between her boys and put a flipper around each of them, trying to keep them both upright.
"We're going to a hotel," she called back to Adell. There was one nearby, right? "Want to come with, dood?"
no subject
Adell had dealt with far worse, he'd be just fine. It was the Prinnies he was more worried about. Though they had always seemed pretty resilient...you sort of had to be if you had Etna as your master, he figured.
It took him a moment to consider Bellatrix's offer. Sleep certainly sounded nice, especially since he hadn't been getting much of that lately. Although there was something he wanted to check out first. "Yeah, I'd like to check something first though. I'll catch up with you guys later. Will you be alright?"
no subject
Keesling, however, wasn't finished. Raising a flipper, he waved back at Adell. "We'll be fine! Thanks, dood!"
