Caged Bird. [completed]
Character(s): Dark Mousy and Kadaj.
Content: Dark wakes up after being kidnapped by Zexion.
Setting: Savage Garden - "boiler room."
Time: Wednesday afternoon.
Warnings: Language.
Playing an innocent game like 'Hide and go Seek' was one thing, getting kidnapped in the process was another. Dark did, after some thinking before the game started, expect something awkward would happen as soon as he was caught, if he was to be caught. But hell, he really didn't expect, or even thought that he was going to be kidnapped. Really. But now there he lie, knocked out to unconsciousness in a cage of a random place, where ever he was.
It was the nip on the cheek by his 'pet', Wiz, that bought him back to cruel reality. Wiz announced loud 'kyuu's, which echoed slightly through out the cave-like room, in attempt to wake up his master further, who seemed to be having trouble doing so. Dark grumbled, eyes twitching as his headache prevented him from opening his eyes. He just wanted to continue to sleep, even if he had the slightest idea of where he was.
Wiz happily squeaked as one of his master's eyes gradually opening, revealing the deep violet gaze of the (former) phantom thief. The blinding light; it was almost menacing to his 'morning' eyes--but he still managed through it, pushing himself up slowly as he caught his attention upon Wiz. "What... happened?" he thought out loud, particularly to Wiz, whom didn't seem to understand him, only smiling with all of his greatness to the purple haired man. As much as he was desperate for an answer, Wiz was too cute to pay attention to the dampness of the air.
Oh, the air.
Dark used the back of his hand to wipe off the sweat formed upon his forehead, growled in frustration. The heat was unbearable. And Dark never liked too much humidity, especially when he was completely wet. He took a glance around the area, frowning much more than intended. "How the hell did I end up in here?" And the only answer he got from Wiz was a tilt of his head. How helpful.
With that said, pieces of memories began to puzzle themselves together, forming a whole storyline of what happened. Hide and go seek wasn't meant to be that much fun, especially if someone was going to be taken away for it.
But hell, it was a deal. The pretty boy won the bet, and his pick for a prize, amazing as it sounds, was Dark himself. Of course, he wouldn't be so surprised if there was not a catch to that... because undeniably, only everyone wanted him. Apparently in Zexion's case, in more ways than one.
Whatever those reasons might be. ...But he could only think of the dirtiest answer. All of the others wouldn't come up to mind.
Which brought him to the next question: where the hell is Zexion? It would be completely useless you go through all of that trouble to catch the Phantom Thief, and throw him in a cage and leave him there...
What the hell. A cage?
"Wiz, transform," he commanded without that feisty attitude he publicly displayed. Wiz concentrated his powers a little bit before exhaling, plopping his whole body to the ground, exhausted. Dark took great notice of this; it seemed that one, Wiz was too tired, or two... some other reason he was too worn out to think of. He blinked when the bunny got up to give it another try, which was intercepted by Dark. "Hey, don't stress yourself too much." And Wiz hopped his way over to the man's lap, where he was comfortably petted by Dark.
The kaitou scooted himself back, leaning against the bars of his humble cage, in lack of else to do. He was entirely beaten.
Psh, the phantom thief was invincible. He has never been caught by his enemies...
...until today, apparently. Dark Mousy was finally caught... like a caged bird. He had no way out. Yet.

...until today, apparently. Dark Mousy was finally caught... like a caged bird. He had no way out. Yet.

Oh, so the other person stuck in this horrible room was awake, was he? How convenient. Not. He shifted slightly in his cage, trying in vain to find a more comfortable position. Not happening at all but it was something to do... sort of. It was either that or actually talk to his fellow prisoner, but that didn't seem like an attractive option at all, really.
His gaze lingered on him, though, curious. What was that... "Wiz?" Why did he have such a ridiculously fluffy thing as a companion? It was awfully cute... so why was it there?
Kadaj snorted, looking away. The other captive seemed to be a lot better off than he was. He had a pet, all of his clothes... he was soaking wet, sure, but that was beside the point. It just wasn't fair.
So, no, Kadaj wasn't going to talk to him unless he was addressed. He probably wasn't worth the attention anyway.

After the ten minutes (or whatever the time) of scanning his surrounding area, he finally noticed a fellow companion... or something of the sort. He was apparently not alone, despite the fact that Wiz was there with him. But the bunny doesn't count, for he was always there with Dark, like a two piece puzzle. It wouldn't be complete without one another. As he paused the petting, he stared at the shirtless man, a half smirk slowly appearing upon his face.
"Why, hello there," he greeted, lazily waving a hand that was previously petting Wiz. The sudden lack of attention caused the red-eyed 'animal' peek from Dark's lap, figuring out who was distracting his master.
Upon seeing another person there, Wiz's eyes turned into something like an upside down 'u' to express its rather big smile, and hopped from Dark, who uttered a curious 'eh?'. The 'Phantom Thief' just watched with slight amusement as the bunny leaped on the stranger's shoulder, reaching out to nuzzle his head to Kadaj's cheek, kyuuing happily.
"Looks like Wiz likes you," Dark pointed out, amused as ever.
...But that's not the point. He needed to get out of here. And his shirt... his goddamned soaking wet tank top of annoying him rather much, especially in this heat. With a growl, he unzipped the zipper of his dark tank-top, took the damp clothing off of his body, and tossed it aside. With that done, he glanced back at the other man.
"So, how did a pret..." He paused. "...uh, person like you ended up in a place like this?" That sounded much better.

"So your name is Wiz?" he asked softly of the rabbit, hopefully quiet enough that his owner couldn't hear. "It's nice to meet you... hehe..."
He finally looked over at Dark, in too much of a good mood now that he couldn't seem to summon back any of his earlier ire. Well, damn. "I ended up here probably the same way you did. Kidnapping. Undignified, obviously, but there's not really much I can do about that at the moment...." It was easy to be irritated still at their captors, though, and Kadaj's smile withered slightly. Axel was going to pay for this.
He managed a small smirk again as he turned his attention back to Wiz, still lightly petting him/her/it. "What's your name?" he asked over his shoulder, his tone so drastically different from the almost sweet way he had addressed the bunny that it was almost insulting. Almost, but not quite.

squishyanimals. Hey, it might be useful in the future... in more ways than one, probably.Wiz would reply if he was in a human form, but since he was his rabbit-y self, all he could do is counter with a batch of 'kyuu's, but didn't really expect Kadaj to understand. Only the Niwa family and Dark understood him, nobody else.
Dark was so occupied at the scene that he didn't even noticed that he was being slightly ignored, only until the other finally paid attention to him.
"Oh, yeah. Kidnapping." He grumbled at the vivid memory, still not over the fact that he lost. Oh, woe.
He didn't say much more as Kadaj's attention was taken away from him by Wiz, and he gave a sigh... more from exhaustion than annoyance. The bunny-thing tilted his head at the question, trying to think of a way to answer to that. He hopped down from Kadaj's shoulder, ending up in front of the man. Then, Wiz kyuu'd a series of times, all the while pointing to himself.
At that, Dark chuckled a bit more louder than intended. "He's trying to say that his name is Wiz," he translated, and Wiz nodded wildly, agreeing with his master. "He thought that you were talking to him. But anyway, why don't you announced your name first?" Dark narrowed his eyes with a little irritation. "Since it seems like you're going to stay~ stubborn, my name is Dark." He winked.

cuterabbit had left his shoulder, but it wouldn't do to, say, try and pick him up again or something, especially since Dark could catch sight of him being almost affectionate with this... thing. He almost wished it hadn't come over to him, but... he gave it a small pat on the head, smiling at it."My name is Kadaj," he replied to both of them, sending a superior little smirk over at Dark. If he had noticed the wink, he didn't give any indication of it, instead going on to say, "I could be a lot more stubborn, if you want, but at the moment I don't particularly feel like it. Besides which, I was here first. I have more right to be irritated than you do."
He paused for a moment, realizing he was trying in some weird kind of way to establish a kind of... boiler room prisoner seniority. The exact logic behind this was something he couldn't quite follow, but if it at least meant he had the upper hand over this "Dark," then it wasn't really something he could complain about. Well, maybe just a little.
He looked back towards Wiz as though dismissing Dark completely from his mind, mentally laughing to himself as he waited to see how he reacted to being ignored in favor of his little pet. Heeheehee....
Wiz was more interesting anyway.

And that couldn't describe the situation any better. So far, everyone he have meant either from the 'network' or in real life have an ego that could probably surpass his own (i.e., ZEXION). To him, that is unnecessary. Almost.
As silence follows, he could help but feel a little ignored. Of course, the phantom thief has always gotten more attention than needed. His name was everywhere in the press and local news channel. But this time, he was so unknown that he was actually being .. completely ignored. It almost maddens him knowing that the reason why is the other was so occupied with his pet. How cute.
But he'd better get used to it, and enjoy it, because once he returns to his world, with his own body, he would be all over the news once again. And that life is what he called 'super tiring'. He should like this life better. ...In a way. Being caged up was not a part of a 'good life,' he's got to admit. Otherwise, everything would've been fine.
Dark chuckled wryly, using his right hand to whip up the sweat that was formed once again upon his forehead. "How foolish of me," he muttered to no one in particular.
And it was true; curiosity killed the cat, didn't it?
Yet; satisfactory brought it back.
Zexion better not disappoint him with whatever he is planning to do. Because he won't die yet. He can't.
