Starting a New Game [complete]

Character(s): Setzer
Content: Setzer's looking for a place to start a casino. Which means looking for unoccupied buildings to take over.
Setting: Not too far from Ceu de Mouraria
Time: early afternoon
Warnings: none

To be perfectly fair, even Setzer had to admit that having a casino too close to the local opera house would tarnish the images of both buildings. But he never had found the time to take a look at what passed for an opera house out here, and had figured he might as well make use of the trip to see what he could see.

But he couldn't well put his casino inside it, impressive though it might have been. What he had in mind was a good deal more low-key. Small and simple. Just like it should be.

And for that, he'd happily wander across the entirety of city. Besides, who knew who he'd run across in the course of his search? Maybe he'd luck out and find someone who knew of a place, even.

But if not, that was fine as well.

Hope its okay to toss Rhyme in here ^^

Rhyme looked around the city, a bit in awe by being in a new area. She pulled down her hat, to go over the tips of her ears. She was a bit nervous being out on her own and without Beat. But she wanted to explore a little bit, and didn't want to bother her big brother.

She'd make sure to not wander off for too long...she didn't want Beat to have a panic attack at her being gone for so long.

Rhyme turned when she heard someone speak to her. It was a taller man, whom she was sure was older than her. She smiled up at him, her innocence shining through. "No, I was just taking a look around," she replied.

He seemed to talk in riddles, and Rhyme found that a bit amusing. Her smile widened a bit. "Yes...I haven't been here long so I wanted to take a look around. What are you looking for?" she asked curiously, tilting her head in interest to Setzer.

"A venture?" she asked curiously. That sounded interesting. She wondered what exactly that venture entailed, and politely waited for him to answer. He seemed like a nice man, and didn't seem suspicious at all. Although her parents told her never talk to strangers, he seemed harmless.

"Oh?" she replied, her curiosity rising. "Do you want some help?" she offered. She wouldn't mind helping him trying to find the right building. It would give her something productive to do here, and she could make a new friend at the same time.

"No, no trouble at all!" she chirped. "So what exactly are we looking for?" She was probably a bit more excited then a normal person would be to help look for something that she had no idea about.

Rhyme nodded, "Okay. What is it going to be for? A game room?" she questioned him.

"That sounds like fun," said Rhyme cheerfully. She thought about telling Beat and then taking him to it. It might be something that he would enjoy.

"Mm," she said, pulling her hat down slightly. "Did you manage a game room back home?"

[identity profile] alwaysrhyming.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
Rhyme looked up at him in awe. "You had one that flew?" she questioned, amazed. That must've been cool to see. It was then that Rhyme wished she was lucky enough to see a game room like that.

"I wish I could've seen it," she said, her tone a bit sad. She wished that they had something like that back in Shibuya, but she knew it'd be impossible to see. That kind of things would only happen in video games or cartoons. Never in real life. Although...considering her recent run-in with Reapers, maybe it was possible? She never thought she would die and end up in a game to come back to life. Maybe more things were possible than she thought.

"Oh? How come?" she asked curiously. Rhyme looked closer at Setzer, trying to read his expression. Even though there was a smile on his face, she could tell that something was off. She hoped that she didn't touch a sensitive subject.

A frown came across Rhyme's lips. She didn't meant to bring up any tragic memories for the man. "I'm sorry," she apologized immediately. But even then, it seemed like that wasn't enough.

Rhyme half nodded, almost in thought. "Maybe we can make this one like your previous one?" she suggested with a smile.

[identity profile] alwaysrhyming.livejournal.com 2008-09-21 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes, we can get it very close!" she said enthusiastically. She was excited to be able to do something for someone.

Rhyme nodded, "Yes!" she replied enthusiastically. "Where shall we go first?"

[identity profile] alwaysrhyming.livejournal.com 2008-09-26 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay!" chirped Rhyme as she went in the direction that he indicated. She hoped that they would be able to find something suitable for her. If not, they could always try again another day. Rhyme was determined to say the least.
