Plastic tubes and pots and pans, bits and pieces and magic from the hand we're makin [Active]

Character(s): Dr. Cid and Kid hey that rhymes harhar
Content: Dr. Cid is searching for any material that he can use to make new rooks and Kid comes across him. He looks down at her until he hears about her particular ability and quickly has a change of heart...
Setting: The Glass Bonsai [G5], then heading towards Cid's Shop.
Time: Early morning
Warnings: Cid is insane? And plotting?

He supposed he couldn't be picky. But then, if he wasn't then there was more of a chance that his new creation would fall apart, isn't that right? Still, this store wasn't quite living up to his standards, even though he still had quite a lot of 'digging' to do through the odds and ends. He had found some workable equipment at the very least... enough that he could shape around a piece of manufacted nethicite.

Venat had informed him that the curious child had vanished. While there were apparent kidnappings going on (another child as one, but he figured that may as well been asking for trouble - what, did they offer her sweets), this was nothing of the sort. Perhaps she disappeared to where her loud friend had gone. No matter. Cid didn't need to do any babysitting, Venat's interest or not.

There was still chance that the place marked on the map called "Cid's Shop" could prove use to them... but the fact that it had his name in the title, and it was not his shop was mildly disturbing, and he had yet to take full interest in it.

"No, no, Venat. That will hardly do any good," he sighed, shaking his head at the odd shapes some scraps of metal had taken. "It is far too warped already. Certainly it will break."

Wonderful. He sighed. This was hardly going well at all. Did this city have anything of use to him? Or had that monster called 'Sin' that's been stomping around crush it all?

Crazy people didn't do that, as far as Kid knew. Crazy people just ranted at you about how they weren't crazy, or something similar. Kid had seen insane people in her life, had even travelled with them, but she hadn't minded. It was just the way they were, and if they hadn't cared and didn't cause any trouble about it, why should she?

Kid grinned at the man admitting, however begrudgingly, that she was right. It was kind of strange, how he shared even a nickname with that of the shop's owner - though Kid had never met him, she had also never heard the name before. "D'you own the shop?" she asked, trotting after him. "Or d'you need directions?"

As grouchy as the old man was, if he needed help, Kid wasn't about to leave him.
