So-and-So Is In Jail Cartoon [Active | Semi-Open]
Character(s): Jintetsu, open to other experimentees
Content: Do not pass Go, do not collect $200.
Setting: a cellblock of indeterminate location
Time: who knows?
Warnings: none
By the time he was finally taken back to his cell, Jintetsu felt as if he'd spent eons stuck in that chair in the other room. The logical part of him insisted that it couldn't have been nearly as long as the rest of him wanted to believe, of course, but had someone told him it had only been about fifteen minutes, he certainly wouldn't have believed that, either.
He was dropped back in pretty roughly, not without protest from his injured ribs, but he ignored the ache long enough to prop himself against one of the bare walls. This was just ridiculous. They hadn't even bothered to interrogate him, just chained him up and left him there for hours on end without so much as a nod in his direction. What had been the damn point?!
Finally, he let out a sigh through his mask and shut his good eye. Yeah, he was pissed, but a hell of a lot of good that was gonna do him at this point.
Much as he hated it, he'd just have to wait. Wait, and see what happened next.
((ooc: Just a note on the cellblock layout; the cells have walls between them so nobody can see each other, but bars across the fronts so they can hear each other. And of course if you're in this thread your journal's been confiscated.))

She was in a cage. She shivered, whimpering a bit. And then the pain came. It was like a piece of her body had been removed, and she had only now recovered from the initial shock enough to feel it. She shrieked and curled up and started crying.
"He-hello?" she called through her tears.
no subject
He-Hello? She heard a voice call...seemed young, a child?
"...I'm here..." She said, softly, but loud enough to be heard. She closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the wall. Maybe focusing on something other than the cell would keep her from panicking.

Gingerly he sat up, clutching his head as he tried to see through the haze of his vision. His surroundings were too much of a blur to make out so he tried sorting through his memories first. Starting with the most recent. What had woken him up? ...Voices, he could faintly recall, the sound of voices.
He'd been at a restaurant before this...looking. Looking for someone. When he had found that person...the person had been in danger. An Organization member had been there, one he hadn't known. There had been a portal and the rest was a blur. But that person...His eyes widened in sudden realization.
Nina!
He staggered to his feet, stumbling as he took a few steps, before slamming himself into the bars and taking a hold of them to keep himself upright. "NINA!!"

First things first. He remembered talking to Eddie about Zack. He remembered getting up to follow him off to... somewhere, and changing his mind. There was-
water. Lots and lots of water. Suddenly panicking, he looked around at where he was, seeing nothing but walls and the bars keeping him from leaving.
"..." Muttering a curse, he crawled over and tried to peer out the bars, trying not to panic too hard. "Zack?"
An ambush. Kidnapping. Abduction. Something. If he was here, then where was Zack?

Not that that was a good thing. It was what the voices sounded like that really got his attention. Young voices. And female ones. The chilling shriek sounded like a little girl. What were the men in black doing? Women and children, now, too?
He didn't attempt to make his presence known to them, for now. Even if he'd been able to speak, what the hell was he supposed to say to this? It wasn't like he understood what was going on much better than they did.

But when she heard Repliku, that brought on a fresh burst of tears, even if she did manage to choke out words. "Re-Re-Repli--" And then she started sobbing again.
She vaguely heard someone else, but it was in the back of her head. She was trapped and by herself and scared and she wanted to go home, back to her daddy and Alexander and Big Brother and Small Big Brother.
Anywhere but here.

She was able to hear the girl from earlier, and now two male voices, they sounded young, but not childlike. This was going to be an interesting stay, from what she could put together.

The same repulsion he had felt when he had met Nina for the first time came back. Only this time it was ten times worse and fueled with anger. The Organization was going to pay for this! He was going to make sure of that even if it was the last thing he did. Maybe his existence would have some meaning this time.
"N-Nina, are you okay? I'll get us out of here, don't worry. They'll pay for this...I promise."
((ooc: iFail, sorry guys. DX))

Not. Helping.
Cloud closed his eyes and tried to think it through. There were more people in here aside from himself. He wasn't sure just how many, but he was a MP, a lowly guard but he was Shinra. He was supposed to help people.
"Hey, is anyone hurt?" He called out, resolving himself, pressing his forehead against the bars of his cell.

The little kid was who he was really starting to worry about.
Maybe there wasn't much he could do like this, but he might as well let them know he was there. He rapped his knuckles a few times against the wall behind him - the real knuckles, not his metal hand. They were all in the same boat. Probably.

And then she cried some more, as a young child was wont to do. She looked up at the sound of someone banging on the wall of her cell, though. She didn't know where everyone else was, but she didn't think there were voices coming from that way. Crawling over to the wall, she knocked back.

Wherever he was, was small. He could see all four walls. Nearly touch them if he stretched his arms out. One wall was made of metal, but only some. Long, vertical beams, that he could reach his arm through, fingering the metal absently. It felt sort of like Edward's metal fingers.
Edward wasn't here. Neither was Alexander. Not Keesling, Bellatrix, Freidrich... Sasori, Deidara, Zetsu. He could not see anyone. Did not feel them. He clutched at the bars, easily able to trade them in his mind for Edward's fingers and metal arm. Lost, again.
The worst was not that he was lost. His concentration flickered, unable to remain steady long enough for more than a few moments, not long enough to even allow him to manage a full translucence of any part of his body. And soon, he could do nothing at all.
But there were still voices, there was still the hiccuping crying of someone too small...
Parroting the greeting he was given every time someone new was added to his list of faces, he asked softly, voice dull and hollowed by the walls, "Hello?"

The replica took a deep breath and closed his eyes, ignoring all other voices. If he could just concentrate maybe he'd be able to create a dark portal...
no subject
Think. What did he do when he was hurt? "Take deep breaths, okay? Slow ones. Can you do that for me?"
Turning his head to the side where he thought he heard another voice, the cadet wondered if the greeting was not just a figment of his imagination.

They were in jail. There weren't even any cell doors. They were dumped here out of thin air by the men in black, and you didn't leave except the same way. If there was an escape opportunity to take advantage of, this wasn't it.
Another thought gradually rose, mostly unprovoked. They're just kids.
He shook it away. A lot of people said that about him, too. Age didn't mean anything, if you pissed off the wrong people (which, presumably, they all had). But...
She's just a kid.
... That one meant something else entirely.
no subject
"Small Big Brother?!" she called, and then realized that the voice was too hollow for Ed's. "Or... You're the one who looks like him, right?"
She sniffled again. She wanted to be back with Ed.
no subject
He pressed his arm as far as he could through the bars, reaching out and hoping to feel something but getting nothing. Could anyone see...?
That voice, he knew well. None of the others, no, but that one small, child voice. He'd found her. Now... if he could only find Edward again.
"Nina."
no subject
"Nina!!"
Until he was whisked away.
((Aaand Repliku's out.))
