I'll Follow You Into The Dark [Completed]

Character(s): Timon and Simba
Content: The pair finally reunite after Larxene's reign of terror.
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Late Afternoon
Warnings: None

The past he had run from so long ago had finally caught up with him. It reminded him of the old times, the harder times. He felt as though he was with his old colony again; everyone hated him. He had tried to do good, really. But it hadn't quite turned out as planned. It never turned out as planned. It filled him with anger, fear, and finally, sorrow. The problems he thought he had left behind him four years ago had somehow followed him.

Simba had never really been part of the equation in Paixao. Though, he had considered the lions arrival, it simply seemed too doubtful of to occurring. Not these days, anyway. He had his cards all ready, Pumbaa was close and protected, as was he. If the Organization tried anything he was ready. Countless plans had been developed thanks to his 'cunning' and 'great craft' over the course of the last month to poison their attempts at kidnapping or brainwashing others. However, an ace had fallen onto the table, and Larxene had caught it much faster then he ever could.

His grip tightened around the bar he had found to ensure his security aboard the train. He managed to slip in quite easily without paying a fee to board. However, it wasn't long before he found the fastest mode of transportation was one of his least favorite. The train was noisy and moved at an uncomfortable pace. The endless sea of feet that swarmed around him threatened to step on him at any given moment and most of all, he couldn't see where the train was going. If it weren't for the announcement given at each stop, he'd of never known when to get off.

He felt nervous as he entered Central Station. Simba was waiting for him there and to be honest, Timon didn't know what to expect. Last he had seen his friend was... Quite some time ago. They hadn't been on the best of terms, or so he assumed. The lion had disappeared so suddenly into the night, he could only guess it was something he had said or done because by the next morning Simba had not returned. Of course, there was also what Larxene had done to him, if anything. There was another worry. He could stand if his friend was mad at him, but not if he was hurt.

The little meerkat pushed his way through the field of feet irritably as he searched for his semi-carnivorous friend.
