The Pikachu stiffened and sniffed the air as Demyx approached, picking up on the same wrong smell as Alexander. After a few moments of mentally going through what he'd read, something else set off alarm bells as well.

The Pikachu jumped over his food, and with another hop was right beside Nina, on all fours with his tail high as if he were trying to make himself look bigger. He, too, was growling, and though it was less impressive than Alexander's, it was just as aggressive; the sparks playing across his cheeks helped make up for his high-pitched voice.

"Bad! You got bad clothes! Bad smell! Go 'way or I'll zap ya!" the little Pokémon snarled before returning to his growling.
