Meanwhile... [Active]
Character(s): Jintetsu and Luxord
Content: So what did become of that Jintetsu fellow, anyway?
Setting: ???
Time: ???
Warnings: ???
Jintetsu had no idea where he was.
That was typical, lately. He hadn't really known where he was ever since he'd woken up at the wrong end of the day and the wrong end of reality. But at least he'd had a map of it before. Not that it would matter now - he kinda doubted this room, or the cell they'd been keeping him in, would be on the map anyway.
It wasn't the first time he'd been imprisoned; a guy like him attracted a lot of unwanted attention. But this time it wasn't any of the usual reasons. Normally the charges were more like several counts of being creepy and homeless. This time, he'd seen something he wasn't supposed to. Something the men in black didn't want him to.
But what exactly was it? The monster? The room that didn't fit? The locked door? All of the above? Whatever it was, he hadn't wanted to run into any of it. He just wanted to get out of this stupid place. Preferably alive.
That was starting to sound less and less likely.
At first, he'd thought they'd probably kill him outright, but the longer he'd been in the cell (he had no way of telling time, but it had to have been multiple days), the less sure of that he'd become. Had they just not decided how? Or was there something else they wanted out of him? If it was information, they weren't going to get much, even if they'd picked up Haganemaru along with him.
There wasn't much resistance he could put up when the ghosts finally came by to take him somewhere else - he was sure he'd cracked a few ribs during his last fight, and blades wouldn't do any good against a ghost - although they were fairly solid now that they were actually touching him - but they were already there, with only a split second spent in transit, before he had a chance to finish that line of thought. And then they'd strapped him into a chair, disappeared just as quickly, before he could locate anything resembling a door. (Was there one?)
He briefly tested the restraints (they would be metal), then went back to holding still, waiting. All right, the men in black had him in the palm of their hand. Now, either he'd finally find out what they wanted with him, or they'd close their fist and crush him.
Either way, he had no intention of cooperating. For what good it would do.

no subject
Orders, however, were orders. He opened a portal into the room holding his subject, pleased to see that he was already restrained. It was procedure, yes, but it saved him quite a bit of trouble. He met eyes with the man strapped to the chair, waiting for a reaction. Normally people in this situation at least squirmed a little. From this man, he got nothing.
For that, he would give nothing. He simply strode forward, walking through the man as though he weren't there and reading the man's memories on the way through. Why interrogate when you could simply see what your subject had seen? The large room, the lock, the creature in the room - none of it was private from Luxord's knowledge. Neither were the various fears and insecurities of the man whose memories he'd just read.
Acting on the information he'd just obtained, Luxord remained silent. heading back into the man's line of sight and preparing to leave.
no subject
He followed Luxord with his working eye, defiantly, as soon as he could see him again. Besides, what had been the point of that? Was he just trying to show off or something? It would take more than that to intimidate him.
Had he been able to talk, he would have challenged him now, while he had the chance. Who are you? But no matter how strongly he thought it, Haganemaru wasn't here to relay it. Normally, it was easier to just pretend he had nothing to say, but he didn't want to settle for that this time.
He leaned forward a bit in the chair, causing a slight rattle between his metal arm and the metal shackle, which was the intended effect. He wanted the man's attention, wanted to demand with his eyes what his voice couldn't. To demand answers.
Or failing that, anything. Any reaction at all. Come on.
no subject
Acting as though nobody else were in the room, Luxord kept his back to the prisoner and fiddled with a stack of papers on a counter on the other side of the room. For all intents and purposes, Jintetsu may as well have not been present at all.
no subject
Gradually, Jintetsu settled back down, still glaring at the man's back. It was becoming clear that if he ever got any answers out of this, it would be on that bastard's timetable, not his. If he ever got any.
But he was still holding out with the idea that sooner or later he would. If not now, then later on. They had to be keeping him alive for a reason. Even if he'd have to figure it out for himself, it had to exist.
no subject
Speaking of timetables, Luxord was about finished where he was. He'd nothing more to say to Jintetsu, and he was due elsewhere...time to speed things up. Without even turning around, he reached into Jintetsu's time, turning it forward a few notches. Everything would go faster, and being left alone for fifteen minutes (which was what Luxord intended to do) would feel like eternity to the swordsman.
With little thought to the welfare of his subject, Luxord simply opened a portal and left the room.
[Please let me know if this is okay - I was too slow to ask in chat. ^^;]
