Looking for a Place {Active/Open}

Character: Ichihara Yuuko and Open
Content: Yuuko Looks for a Building to Make into her Shop/Home...and someone to help set it up
Setting: H6 Area, an old building
Time: Morning
Warnings: None

The problem with opening a new shop though was that Yuuko very much liked her old shop...it had been around for centuries, could only be accessed by those that needed it, had the barrier she'd worked so hard on.  She hated starting from scratch because that meant work...and Yuuko didn't much like work.  Not only did she have to do that but since she had no access to her old shop she had none of her treasure she had accumulated.  She'd have to work on that all over again...but hopefully by accumulating a few customers she could do it.  Yes, Yuuko was determined to make a NEW shop.

The woman crossed the street, walking in random directions and only pausing occasionally to look over buildings and sometimes she even put a hand to them before shaking her head and moving on.  It wasn't long before she found what she was looking for.  Her eyes grew wide and she clapped her hands together in joy, "It's perfect~"  There before her, looking rather shabby compared to the buildings around it, was a small Victorian style house...she'd have to build a fence around it and set up some barriers but over all it had just the feeling of magic she'd been looking for.  Suddenly she turned on her spot and pointed to the nearest person, "You there!  Come here!"

"Oro?"

After spending awhile at the hospital recovering from his injuries after his rather eventful visit to the church, he'd finally left, probably sooner than the doctor's would have liked him to, but they'd have kept him far longer than necessary if they'd had their way. There were a few sore spots, but nothing too major. He had important things to do, which he couldn't do laid up in bed - finding clue to Jintetsu's where-abouts. Of course, he didn't really have any idea yet how to do that. The only place really was back at the church.

Would he have to go back there? That seemed likely where he'd have to end up next, although he didn't know what else he'd find. He'd searched the church and found no clues. Just a door, with a giant lock that would not budge. He could not even cut into it. It had to be opened somehow, but how? That's what he'd have to find out, he supposed.

Now, Kenshin had noticed Yuuko. There was no way one couldn't as they walked down the street. There was something strange about her, but Kenshin couldn't quite put his finger on it. He hadn't expected her at all to whirl around and point at him, however.

The rurouni stood there a little dumb struck, glancing around, wondering if she'd meant anyone else.

((ooc: Prolly gonna regret this. XD;;;))

The rurouni turned his gaze back to her, and saw her positively beaming at him. So she DID mean him. Why was she looking at him like that? This... couldn't be good. He could see no means of escape, however, as she came up to him.

"O-oro? Perfect for what?" Kenshin asked, looking a bit worried. He had a bad feeling about this. Yuuko was setting off alarm bells left, right and center.

Another squeek of 'ororoo' came out of Kenshin's mouth as she was right against him, her arm his shoulders. She was so much taller than him... She was reminding the rurouni a little of Megumi. Yes, definitely Megumi, although perhaps much, much worse. He really should have just kept on walking.

"C-Cleaning?" he repeated, his voice going up a couple octives. "S-sessha was meant to be, ah, trying to find a way to help an aquaintence, de gozaru," Kenshin tried to explain, trying to see if he had any hope at all of getting out of this. Although, he got the feeling she might not take no for an answer.

"S-sessha supposes he cannot, de gozaru," he replied, a sense of dread falling over him. It didn't look like she was going to take no for an answer, and who knows, maybe she really could be helpful in some way. There was something really strange about her, however.

At least he was rather experienced with cleaning. Kaoru-dono had made sure of that. "What would you like sessha to clean?"

He had no choice but to be dragged into the building. How long had it been abandoned? Judging from the dust on the floor it had been some time. It certainly did need dusting and airing out, which was the job he, of course, was being given.

Kenshin sighed and crouched down, looking at the various supplies she'd dug out. The mop was something of a new thing for him, but everything else he knew well. Taking a dusting cloth, he nodded, "Alright."

The rurouni, being no stranger to cleaning, figured he'd tackle dusting off the furnature, and opening some windows for the dust to escape. He'd work on sweeping and the like after that. It seemed like a good plan.

Somehow Kenshin had suspected she wouldn't be assisting in this cleaning. He sighed again as soon as he was sure she was out of ear-shot. What had he gotten himself into?

Well, nothing to do but get this done quick as he can. And that's just what he did, as soon as he found one thing. Digging into his wide sleeves he soon produced a long strip of fabric, which he used to tie back his long sleeves. That done, he then got to work, dusting what he could and throwing the windows open for the dusty air to escape. Then came sweeping.

((ooc: AH I see the prob now on my side of things. I didn't ever switch Kenshin from my winddrifter email to gmail. LOL. Winddrifter had been eating my lj email. ;A; Switched servers so now I'm getting it. LMAO. But. YES. We'll EVENTUALLY finish. XD;;;))

Once the place was swept up, Kenshin began filling a bucket of water, but paused as his senses picked up something... strange. It was almost a bit unsettling. Something in the air that he couldn't place exactly. It wasn't something he'd ever felt before. It was just... strange. It made the hair on the back of his neck prickle. Setting the bucket down, he peeked through a window to spot Yuuko.

Maybe he shouldn't have. It was her, wasn't it? Who was she? What was she? Well, he already knew there was something strange about her from the start, but now he was quite sure.

He certainly had many questions to ask eventually, but for now Kenshin ducked away from the window. Setting his sakabatou in a safe place, he fetched a cloth and began dunking it in the soapy water.

Kenshin stood up from the bent over position he'd been in, running the cloth along the floor, glancing back to the window where Yuuko was ow watching him from.

"Sessha is rather used to cleaning, de gozaru," Kenshin replied after a moment, thoughts unavoidably turning to the kendo instructor who kept him very busy while he had lived with her.

He returned to the bucket, dunking the dirty cloth into the water and wringing it out, before glancing back at her. This had all happened rather suddenly, and they'd never even really exchanged names he realized in hindsight. "Sessha is Kenshin. Himura Kenshin," he said, introducing himself.
