Encountering a new friend... [Active]

Character(s): Mia Fey, Larxene...anyone else?
Content: Mia might not know who Larxene is but Larxene knows her...
Setting: Matteus Museum of Art
Time: Afternoon
Warnings: None

She had not seen Diego for a little while, and Mia didn't want to know what that might mean. It was too soon to panic about it, which was why Mia found herself wandering the local art museum, trying to distract herself from disturbing thoughts. It wasn't really working. If anything, being in this museum was disturbing her even more. There was something very strange about art that had no history, no context behind it, nothing from which to draw any kind of meaning. She kept pausing in front of paintings and trying to infer something from them, and failing.

Mia didn't think she was going to hang around the museum much longer. Maybe getting something to eat would help her feel a little more grounded.

Larxene had always believed in being cultured. Being well-rounded was a strength, after all. And you never knew who you'd find at a museum. And finding a certain kitten wandering all by her lonesome through its halls... Well, that was too good to pass up.

She approached, wearing a light blue sun dress and looking about as harmless as she could ever look. She didn't want to spoil the fun, after all.

"Enjoying the art?" she asked cheerily.

Larxene hid her delight at not being recognized; there were so few who didn't know her face and voice nowadays, it was refreshing. She put on her best, sweetest smile for her new playmate.

"In a place like this I don't think there's much to get," Larxene said. "This place doesn't seem to have much history~"

She tilted her head at Mia, as if she was trying to remember where she might have seen her face. "I do think I've heard of you on the journals," she said. "Mia Fey, right~?"

"Relena," Larxene replied; it took only a moment to scramble her name a bit. She couldn't trust that her name was unknown to Mia--word did tend to spread quickly enough. "You know Godot, right?"

His kitten, if the journals spoke true. She had reason to believe they did.

"Nice to meet you, too," Larxene said, shaking her hand and switching from overdone sugar to something that sounded as sincere as she could make it. She had a plan now, and it required a bit of acting. And what was a bit of acting in the name of a game? "I just wanted to make sure I was talking to who I thought I was talking to."

An apologetic shrug. "It's been so hard to remember...Before... Lately." And then, a trace of worry in her tone. "Have you been here long?"

"Then you should still be safe, I think," Larxene said. "It's just... If you stay here too long..."

She gestured to one of the citizens strolling through the gallery. "Aren't they strange? They're all around, but there aren't many older ones. As if they just appeared?"

She paused, bit her lip as if considering whether or not to continue. "I think that's what happens to people who stay too long. My hair... It used to be red. And my eyes were green! But now..."

Her eyes fell to the floor.

Oh yes, this was one of her best ideas in a while.

"But my eyes, too?" she said, picking up the tone of her voice as if she was desperate. "And I can't remember where I lived before I was here. Just that it wasn't here."

"Please believe me, you have to be careful," Larxene pleaded. "There's another girl who's even farther along than me... Naminé."

She was laughing inside.
