A Place to Sleep [Active]
Character(s): Furude Rika, Kino Makoto, open to all
Content: Rika arrives at a hotel and gets herself a room. She runs into Makoto.
Setting: Actua Are [J7]
Time: late evening
Warnings: none
It had taken her longer than she thought to arrive at a hotel. Having spent some time examining the city, though not nearly enough to have seen anything close to all of it, she had ended up taking a train to the Central Station and proceeding from there. At least she had a map, and there was a hotel not too far from the station.
All things considered, it had been a long day. She was exhausted. So when she stumbled into the hotel, she was glad they still had rooms open so late, and took one. Her room was a few floors up, so she began the final walk of the day, glad for a chance to rest.

"Oh! I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was walking."
no subject
"It's okay, I wasn't watching either," she said. "Are you staying here, too?"
Her dark brown hair and green eyes meant she couldn't have been a citizen, after all.
no subject
"Yes, I am. I'm just headed out for a few minutes. Are you sure you're ok? I did bump into you kind of hard." Taking into consideration the height difference, Makoto was a bit worried. And also, why was such a young girl wandering around by herself?
no subject
This girl seemed nice enough, and for that, Rika was glad. She remembered Alice's words; not everyone in Paixao would be kind. But wasn't that how it was everywhere?
no subject
"Oh, my name's Kino Makoto, What's yours?" She asked, still looking down at her. "And, is there anyone with you? You probably shouldn't be walking around by yourself..." She didn't want to come off as being overbearing, but a girl her age probably shouldn't have been wandering around alone.

When Makoko expressed her concerns over Rika's living situation, she responded cheerily: "It's okay, at home I live with Satoko, and she's my age! I just got here, so I don't know if anyone else is here."
She would have to look for her friends once she got settled. It was better to work in a group, after all, and she knew she could trust her friends one hundred percent. If she was lucky, she would be able to find other trustworthy people here as well, but for now, it was best to stick with what, and who, she knew.

"Maybe for a little while," Rika consented at last. "So I have someone to talk to!"

She was in a good mood despite her exhaustion; she could befriend more people here, perhaps some who knew how to go home. The idea that there were different worlds was one she was comfortable with; here, however, it seemed as if there were worlds that differed a great amount from the ones she had cycled through.
"Here it is, room 444," Rika chirped.
Not the best room number--four was shi, after all. But Rika didn't believe in superstition.
((OOC: Shi means death. Also four. XD))

"So, you said you just arrived here? How long exactly?" She asked, remembering that she had been here for a bit over a year...it had been a long time, really. She was always wondering what was going on back at home, if the other Senshi had been looking for her...

She moved to sit on the bed, her feet throbbing dully now that they weren't in use, but the pain fading quickly enough as she kept her weight off them.

Could she really be gone that long? Longer? What sort of world would she return to? Would Hinamizawa still be there? Would her friends be okay? After all the work she had done...
She fell back onto the bed, staring up at the ceiling.

'Hello!' she greeted the concierge when she arrived at the front desk.
'Hello,' the concierge replied, raising an eyebrow at her. 'You're looking for a room?'
Auron hadn't been specific about why she was supposed to come here, but it was a hotel and so it was logical that she would want a room. 'Yes, thank you,' she replied with a pleasant smile.
After being given a key and directions, she wandered up to her room, number 446, and stepped into it. It was clean and inviting. She smiled and went to sit on the edge of the bed. She sat there for a while and nothing happened. She had gone to the Actua Are like Auron had suggested, but she really wasn't sure what she was supposed to do now. Being as she did not actually require sleep, there wasn't a great deal for her to accomplish in the hotel room.
After considering for a while, she rose from the bed again and wandered back out into the hall. Perhaps she would find something that would tell her what to do.

"Hi!" She said. "You ok?" She asked, smiling at her. She really did look a bit lost.
no subject
"Hello," she said, smiling. "Are you new, too?"
This place did tend to be disorienting.

She smiled happily at the two girls, they were both younger than anyone she'd ever met before, as there were no children on Atlantis, and she had also never seen anyone with blue hair before. She decided to comment on it. 'Your hair is quite lovely. I've never seen that a human with that color before,' she said and then smiled at the older girl by the door. 'Yours is very beautiful too, but I have seen that color.'
no subject
"Ah thank you." She said about the compliment to her hair. "I'm Kino Makoto. It's nice to meet you Fran-san." She said.
((OOC: orz, hopefully I'm getting the suffix right...please correct me if I'm getting it wrong.))

"How could you be made?" she asked. "Things are made, not people!"

She continued in a natural tone, as though there was nothing odd about her previous statement. 'Doctor McKay made me based upon technology the ancients used to create the Replicators.' She looked slightly unsure. 'The Replicators are gone now though, so I'm not sure what my further purpose is.'
no subject
"Well, welcome to Paixao." She said, smiling.
no subject
"Make your own purpose," Rika suggested; there was something unsettling about being a slave to programming. It was too much like fate.

As she was speaking, Fran's journal made a small chiming noise and she glanced down at it, still held in her left hand. She flipped it open momentarily, taking only a nano-second to read the message Pikachu had left before flipping it closed again. A delighted smile bloomed on her face as she felt a rush of excitement. 'Oh, this is wonderful!' she exclaimed.
no subject
"Maybe you could find some friends to be with? They could probably help you with finding a new directive!" Makoto suggested, smiling. Friends could possibly help, and if Fran didn't have any from her home here, she could find more, Makoto included. Then, she heard Fran's journal chime, and watched as the woman checked it.
"Ah, a good message?" Makoto asked after Fran had finished checking her journal. Her news had mostly been disappointing, with Usagi disappearing before she and Setsuna could find her, then all the things that had been happening to other people.

"Since you might be wandering around, do you want some company? I'm getting ready to start some wandering of my own, and I could use some." Makoto offered, trying to be nice, and hoping Fran would say yes.
ooc:........I am so so so so sorry that this is so late. Graduation/moving/job hunting took up so much of my time the past month or so. I'm going to be on top of things now. *is a failure*

Rika was familiar with protecting those close to her. But it so often led to her own pain that she knew care was needed. Still, it was certainly worth it. She was glad Makoto was offering to go along, at any rate. Rika had to stay and wait for Keiichi.

She really hoped neither would get hurt. Fran seemed dangerously naive. But Makoto seemed less so; hopefully with the two of them together, they would manage to stay out of trouble.

"Well, I don't know if you've heard something already on that post, but it seems like there's a bit more trouble than we know of already." She said, tapping her screen when she finished reading something about the Sin-Spawn running amok in the city.

((shall we go join one of the sin-spawn threads now?))

"Are you coming too?" She wanted to make sure that the young girl was safe, she would figure out how to henshin later. She was sure there was an empty place somewhere.
no subject
And she would. She would never abandon Keiichi like that. Even if she hadn't had to wait for him, she had been walking around all day, and was exhausted. She needed a night's sleep before she could do any more exploring.
