Kadaj's expression went from an almost embarrassed look of surprise to one fury almost immediately, and he had to take a moment to calm down before answering. Axel hadn't changed a bit since the last time he had seen him.

"I don't see how your little offer is supposed to appeal to me, Axel. Interest and excitement aren't the reasons why I'm here, and, believe it or not, neither is sex. Unless whatever it is your offering has more to it than that, I'm not accepting. You haven't even told me what you're really after, just dangled this in front of me like I'm just waiting for the opportunity to pounce. You don't really think it's that easy, do you?"

It was a little hard to not be interested at all by what Axel was saying, though. Especially that part about Ansem not being around for much longer... just what was he talking about?
