I'll never stray again... [Active]
Character(s): Rose, the Doctor
Content: Rose is still waiting, but she doesn't lose faith! Her Doctor comes :3
Setting: Muspelheim
Time: Late afternoon
Warnings: Happy-squeeing-gush charries? :DDD YAY REUNIONS!
Rose scuffed a shoe against the ground, distracting herself with the silvery strands of grass and the similar tree leaves. Since she had sent Vincent on his way, she had sat back in the bench, got up, wandered around, sat back down, people-watched, and rinsed it all, lathered it up, and repeated. She sighed, folded her arms over her black jacket, and looked down at her shoe.
She knew that the TARDIS wasn't in tip-top-shape here, but then, was the TARDIS ever in tip-top-shape? If her cell phone barely functioned, then the ship would have trouble too. She knew this, and didn't lose any faith... she just hated waiting. To think earlier (this afternoon?) she had thought she would never see him again, surely never again in the flesh.
Her fingers twitch where they gripped her elbows. She shifted weight from one foot to another.
In some odd way it seemed too soon, but then, it also wasn't soon enough.
But with a small chuckle, she hoped her mum wasn't flipping her lid about her disappearance. She'd probably be blaming the Doctor about it, too. The thought settled Rose, just a bit.

He'd never have believed anyone who might've told him that he'd see her again only a few weeks after their parting. This was really quite impossible, but, well, here they were. Not that he was really complaining about it, of course.
The cheeky smile rearranged itself into something a bit more serious, relieved even. He'd missed her so much. It had been several weeks for him, but how long had it been for her?
The Doctor had no chance to think about it as he was suddenly almost knocked over by the shere force of the hug. He wrapped his arms around her tightly, keeping her up off her feet as swung her around a little from the momentum. "Rose...!" After a moment he gently set her back on her feet again, still hugging her tightly.

Even though because of the separation, Rose knows someone will look after her mum, and her mum has someone to look after. Keeping with the Doctor again, she doesn't have to worry that little bit again.
That, in no way, means that she was happy (at all) by what happened.
"I... never thought I'd see you again..." She squeezed. Sure, she hoped that there was something... even if he said there wasn't... But, a Time Lord could be wrong once and awhile, right? This... place (as strange as it was) could be proof of that.
