The King is Dead, Long Live the King! [active]

Character(s): Zexion
Content: Wandering and people-watching, mostly.
Setting: Central Station.
Time: Early afternoon
Warnings: None

So the mayor was dead then. Dead, and no doubt people were already suspecting him and his fellows for his death. Naturally, they would be quite correct in their assumptions, but he was hardly going to be the one to mention it. Bringing up that he knew who to pin the death of the late mayor on would not only draw suspicion, but also a good deal of attention and while suspicion he could handle (if it came up) he didn't much care for attention. Or at least not the kind that that announcement would draw. He'd leave the drawing-of-attention to some of the others.

And in the meantime, he doubted any harm would come of merely watching the passers by. True, there were fewer here than at the gates perhaps, but it was far less likely that he would be accosted by newcomers this way. And besides, it was far easier to look as though he belonged among this crowds then those that surrounded the gates. All he needed to do was look as if he was waiting for someone and the rest of the people would simply pay him no real heed. He was just another face in the crowd to them, and that was all for the better, as far as he was concerned.
