Reunion at the train station. [Active]
Character(s): Mickey Mouse, Riku, Kairi
Content: Two (now three) friends reunite.
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Early morning
Warnings: Adorableness?
Mickey had learned a few things about this world of Paixao since his arrival, such as that money grew on trees, that time passed differently here than it did in other worlds, and that a number of his friends--as well as his enemies--had somehow ended up here in the same bewildering way that he had. He had a feeling that his stay here (hopefully not a long one) was going to be interesting.
The train pulled into Paixao Central just as dawn was coming over the city, light shining through the odd dome overhead. Mickey stepped out onto the platform, rubbing his eyes--he'd only gotten a little sleep the previous night--and pushed the hood of his black coat down, glancing around. He'd had the notion that the city center was as good a place as any to start learning about this place; maybe he'd find a city hall or something like it where he could get more information than was given out in the brochures.

"Riku!" Mickey gasped, running the last few steps to meet him, dodging around the legs of people heading to and from the trains. It was one thing to have spoken to Riku over the journals and to know he was here, and quite another to actually see him, especially after losing track of him for over a month. Riku's desire to follow Sora had led them to be separated not long after Sora's memories were restored. Mickey had tried to keep track of him throughout the worlds, in case Riku ever needed his help again, but that had been difficult. He worried after his old friend a lot, but there was no one he believed in more either.
"Aww, Riku," Mickey said rather tearfully. "I'm sure glad to see you again, even if it had to be here."

"I've only been here for a few hours," Mickey answered, trying to communicate that Riku didn't need to apologize for anything, but since he was still staring at the ground Mickey stepped forward and hugged him as tight as he could.

"Anyway, have you seen Kairi?" he added shrewdly. His brief conversation with her on his journal seemed to indicate otherwise. "I'm sure she wants to see you."

"And Sora...have you had any luck finding him?"

Kairi had to hope that Cid's Shop would remain in tact while she was gone, but even if she had stayed, there wouldn't be much she could do to prevent any sort of catastrophe. But Reno and Zack were going to be there, and thinking about that, she knew that Cid would have his hands full.
It didn't take her long to get to the station, waving down one of the natives and their rickshaw to take her over. She was excited. How long had it been since she seemed Riku? Several weeks now? She wasn't sure how long she had even been in this city. It had to be several months at least...
But she wouldn't think about that. She headed up the steps to the station, stepping through the doors and wandering through a bit. Kairi's eyes swept the area, looking at everyone coming and going and shuffling off a bit to the side to keep out of the way. She folded her arms behind her back, standing up on her tiptoes to look through the crowds, then decided patience would be best.
She had come fairly quickly, after all. But it worked out well, for her, anyway.

Maybe Riku had come here to look for Sora. Mickey surveyed the crowd curiously, and as a pale-haired stranger close in front of him moved aside, his eyes were caught by a head of red hair, and the girl underneath it--"Hey," he said to Riku, recalling the picture on his journal, "isn't that Kairi, there?"

"Riku!" she called out. He looked so much the same as before. Like he hadn't changed at all. Kairi left her wallflowering spot and easily weaved through the crowd, showing Riku no mercy as she tossed her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.

But luckily, she hadn't gotten into too much of a mess since she's been here.
After another moment of beaming like the sun, she came to and looked down at the mouse. "Hi! I think we spoke on the journals, right? I'm Kairi, it's good to meet you."

She shook Mickey's hand with a smile, then looked up to Riku. "Yeah! There's gonna be some big meeting that it's best I'm not there for. Cid's really worried about it. I think it'll go okay though. Still." She shrugged. It was nice having something to do in this place. Keep her busy. It's not like she could fight or anything.

Kairi stared up randomly at the air as she thought about Mickey's suggestion, in her mind mapping out the area outside of the station. And then with a nod, she looked back at the two. "Mmmm... there is. I passed one of the Actua Ares on my way here. It isn't too far. We can get a room there for now? You two probably need somewhere to stay now anyway, I'd figure?" She took another moment to think; she had looked at the map so many times before, whether out of boredom or necessity. She knew the city fairly decently at this point.
Theoretically, anyway.
"Or there's a cafe a bit close by too. But I don't know how quiet those are, so." Whatever they preferred. She could easily get them a room at the Actua Are. Buying/renting things here weren't a problem for her anymore.
