To Meet With the Mayor [Active]

Character(s): Pein, Konan, the Mayor
Content: Pein decides to act on information he's received and makes a visit to the Mayor's office.
Setting: City Hall [I-6]
Time: Afternoon
Warnings: It's Pein, so stuff.

Pein stood at the entrance to City Hall, looking up the staircase at the door. The information that Sylar had given him had certainly piqued his curiosity, and he was going to act on it... through less public means, of course. That was why he was here--to meet with the Mayor and see for himself if he could find out about the organization that Sylar had mentioned.

Making his way here, over the rooftops of course, had given him plenty of opportunity to consider what he wanted to say, how he wanted to address this. It would be better to act as the newcomer he was at present, he had decided, than to garner attention as the shinobi and killer he also was. And with any luck, the kunais and shuriken could stay tucked away, unnecessary as he sought the answers to his questions.

Pein began to ascend the stone staircase. This was going to prove an interesting meeting.

Konan stood silent beside Pein. Now things were beginning to work out to Akatsuki's use. An alliance with the organization would proof beneficial to them, at least for a time.

She saw no need to step in anywhere, so she didn't.

Well, that was at least a relatively tame set of requirements. The ability to move in at out of the city unobstructed was easy enough to agree to. And doubtless he wouldn't need to remind them of the fact that he would only be able to grant that same freedom as long as the fact that they were allies wasn't known.

"I would need to discuss the possibility of allowing you a place to set up base with the rest of the Organization." He was hardly in charge of everything in the city after all, being just one man. "The rest is easy enough to grant though."

Well, things seemed to be working out well for them. There would be a meeting of Akatsuki soon, no doubt. And then, well, things would start to move according to Pein's will. All places fell before a god, after all.

She smiled faintly, and that was all.

There was a polite nod in return at that - it was at least vaguely nice to know that someone could understand how things could be sometimes.

"I'll contact you as soon as I have an answer. In the meantime, I expect you have things of your own you'll need to deal with."

Coming from him, this was most likely an attempt at politeness - or the closest equivalent he could manage, at least.

Ah yes, there was the meeting to set up. Konan much preferred when things were happening as they were: there was waiting for the next move to play out and then there was waiting to begin the game, and she was not fond of the latter.

Now it was time to see how the game would be played in this new city.

((Works for me~))

There was one last nod from Saïx at that. "I'm sure you'll be hearing back from us relatively soon."

And with nothing further to discuss, he turned to head out through a portal of darkness. No need to hide it this time after all, not after having admitted to being of the Organization.

((Fine by me, too))
