From Kaua'i to Paixao [Active]
Character(s): Lilo Pelekai, Stitch, Mickey Mouse
Content: A seven-year-old Hawaiian girl arrives in Paixao
Setting: Joutenheim Gate
Time: Afternoon
Warnings:
Kaua'i. That was home, with it's tropical plants and crashing ocean waves and of course, its plethora of aliens, all of whom were cousins of Stitch. This place... this place was the result of a wrong turn. It had to be, because everything here wasn't right. It didn't feel... Hawaii enough. And what was with the gate? It was weird, and if anyone knew weird, it was Lilo.
Looking around, the seven-year-old made her way toward the gate, and the little kiosk that seemed to be sitting beside it, shifting the backpack with her hula gear so that it was a little easier on her back.
"Excuse me? Hello...?" A bright, cheerful, and definitely not Hawaiian face met her inquiry, with an equally bright and cheerful, "Hello! Welcome to Paixao!"
Lilo took a step back. This lady was weird, too... At least she had answered what would have been Lilo's first question--where was she? Any thoughts of other questions were pushed aside as she was handed what appeared to be a laptop, with a blue hawaiian print to it, and a bunch of brochures.
"You'll need these for your stay," the woman declared, smiling entirely too eagerly. "Now, what's your name, dear?"
"Lilo."
"Alright then, Lilo. Enjoy your stay." The woman directed her to the gate, and Lilo headed inside, seeking out a bench to sit down on and figure out what was going on as best she could.

There! On the Bench! He thought when he saw a familiar red patterned dress on a girl sitting on a bench. Scrambling back down, he ran over to said bench, then jumped up beside her.
"Lilo! You really are here!"
no subject
The seven-year-old closed the laptop and set it aside, then threw her arms around Stitch's neck as he joined her on the bench.
"Stitch! I'm so glad you're here too!"

Mickey clutched the items in white-gloved hands as he stared around in mingled bewilderment and curiosity at the old-fashioned looking city, its fantastic spires and columns and domes, not to mention the people--many of them pale-haired but others as diverse as the crowds you'd see in a place like Traverse Town. He was wearing the black coat that resembled the Organization's over his normal clothes, but he pushed back the hood to get a good look at what seemed to be a huge glass dome high above the whole city.
"Oh boy," Mickey said aloud, standing to one side of the street near a bench so as not to be in anyone's way. "I better find someone who can tell me how I got here. Not to mention how to get off."
no subject
Letting go of Lilo and sitting back on the bench, his ears twitched as he heard an unfamiliar voice saying something about the city. Looking over, he saw a mouse wearing a black overcoat who was looking up at the dome.
"You can't get off." He said. "We're all stuck here." He twitched his ears again.

"Stuck here?" Lilo repeated questioningly, eyes widening. "We're stuck here???" She frowned. "Nani's going to be so mad..."
no subject
"Stuck here, huh?" Mickey echoed as well, scratching one of his huge round ears--a habit when he was perplexed. "That's what I was hopin' not to hear...I'm Mickey, by the way," he added, extending a hand for either one of them to shake. "'Scuse my ignorance, I'm afraid I just got here."
no subject
"Didn't you notice that I was missing Lilo? I've been here for almost nine months." He asked, wondering why she hadn't seemed mad before.
no subject
"My name is Lilo and he's Stitch," Lilo informed Mickey before looking to her friend and giving him such a funny look. Nine months? She had just seen him before hula class today! How could he have been gone for nine months?
"Uh, Stitch? I just saw you earlier today..." This place was just getting stranger and stranger by the minute...
no subject
"Nine months you've been here?" Mickey asked Stitch, somewhat alarmed at that bit of news. "Oh boy, that isn't good," he added worriedly. "I left my world in a crisis, not to mention all the others."
no subject
"At least I know that you and Nani aren't going to be mad!"
no subject
"Maybe time moves faster here than back home, Stitch?" she commented. "And I'm not mad. I don't know if Nani will be happy when we don't come home, though."
no subject
"I think I'd better take a look around this place and see if I can find out how it works," he said, tugging on one of his ears, a habit when he was bewildered. "Will the two of you be all right?" He wasn't sure it was a good idea to leave such a young human girl, though she had her friend Stitch to look after her.
no subject
"Strange things have been happening. I got sick...so did Rikku...but we're better now." He said, sitting back up straight again. He still didn't know what had made him sick, but he wanted his new friend to be careful and avoid it if he could.
no subject
The Hawaiian girl smiled, though that smile quickly turned to a frown as Stitch spoke of getting sick. "Stitch, what happened? Are you sure you're okay?" The last thing she wanted was for her best friend to be sick, whether or not she was there to take care of him.
no subject
"I'm fine! Rikku's uncle Braska helped me!" He said, happily.
no subject
"Can I meet the person who helped you, Stitch?" After all, any person so philanthropic was sure to be a good friend. It definitely couldn't hurt to make friends here. In fact, it seemed like a very good idea. Some of the people she had spoke to already had been very nice, and some concerned for her. It definitely made the little Hawaiian girl sure that it wouldn't be so bad, being stuck here. And eventually, they'd have to find a way home, right?
no subject
"We'll just have to try and find them." He said, jumping off the bench. "It'll be an adventure, right?"
no subject
If she looked at this whole thing as an adventure, Lilo was sure that it would become less scary than it was.
