In which Spish has a field day.

In this story of trial and error we find our mods, heads poking out from the mountain of work Livejournal has dumped upon them! What is to be done? Where to begin? How to stop a panic? Well, LJ has done quite well at doing the opposite. So our terrible fair heroes will do what they must!

"Do we have a death wish?"

"Don't we always?"

It may not be the best start. Trial and error, remember. Don't forget. That's important for this story, this battle, this drivel over comments!

"Shouldn't we... I don't know, bring something less flimsy?" One shakes at their shields, thin plastic. "Isn't this going to melt against the Dragournal?"

"Nonsense! Have a little faith! It's well-crafted. I used duct tape," another answers.

"Don't worry, we have another power!" says the third.

"The power of our players!" says the third.

The second looks skeptical. "Don't tell me we have a sword like in Digimon. Powers combined, yada-yada..." She doesn't get an answer. It's probably for the best.

And so the Modly Quartet carries their duct-tape-and-plastic shields, armed with what appears to be a single dagger between them, and journeys across the land!

It had been a long journey. They couldn't even see their castle now!

But eventually they drag themselves to face down the lair of the overlord, Dragournal - nothing like any meteor-throwing overlord! No, this one is much different. And taller.

And then there was the Great Sleep that came.

Because it was deemed necessary.
