Someone Save Me If You Will [Completed]

Characters: Rosette Christopher, whoever else wishes to join
Content: Rosette is dropped off after the experiments and is in a very bad way. Somebody please come save her?
Setting: Joutenheim Gate
Time: Afternoon
Warnings: None so far.

Rosette had only a vague awareness that she'd been moved. Everything else had been drowned out in the numbness that had taken hold of her body. Feeling the warm sun, a stark contrast to...to wherever it was she had been, on her skin, she finally managed to open her eyes a crack. Ground. She'd been dropped in the middle of the street.

She tried to reach out to the pairs of boots passing her by, to call for help, to do something to draw attention to her plight. It was no use - the words froze in her throat, and her body refused to respond to anything she tried to do.

So she lay there numb, trapped in a body to which she no longer had any connection and praying for somebody, anybody, to stop and help her.

Certainly Chrno was racing ahead. He couldn't run fast enough. Most of the time running was spent babbling to himself in between gasps due to exertion and the audible pounding of his own heart.

"...I hope she's alright, it's been days and we're in this place and if she's hurt.. she better not be hurt... Oh, Rosette, please be okay..."

The girl was noticed before the rescuer was, and Chrno could have sworn his heart stopped. She wasn't moving. She wasn't moving. His legs felt like lead as he pushed the rest of the way towards her.

"Rosette!" God, was he too late? The nagging fear weighed heavy on his mind, leaving the Doctor to talk to Kit. He would be able to explain afterwards, but knowing if Rosette was alright was most important. Gravity pulled him quicker than he realized as he hit the ground with his knees, kneeling next to the nun.

She wasn't moving. Was she even alive? There was something wrong with the watch, although Chrno didn't let that go through his panic. What weighed heavy enough on his mind to cause terror to icily grip at his heart was that Rosette wasn't moving.

He failed to protect her, just as he failed to protect Mary..

Gently, he reached down to pick her up, to hold Rosette to him, tears stinging at his eyes. Even with his teeth clenched, he couldn't fight back the panic he felt at losing her..

"Rosette.. can.. can you hear me? Rosette.."
