Another Chip in the Pile [complete]
Character(s): Setzer and anyone else who wants to join in
Content: The Wandering Gambler wanders into Paixao
Setting: Niflheim Gate
Time: Early afternoon
Warnings: None!
The first thing that caught Setzer's attention when he arrived outside the gate was not so much the lines to get in, nor the domes themselves, but how ... well, 'alive' didn't seem to be the right word so much as 'not destroyed'. And considering the fact that he was pretty sure that a)Kefka's depredations had affected the whole world and b)that he'd seen all of the (rather few) towns that were left intact after the near-destruction of the world, it came as rather a surprise that he hadn't seen this one before. A pleasant surprise, perhaps, but a surprise nonetheless - and one that he may as well check out. After all, what was life without a little risk? Ante up and deal the cards; let fate take care of the rest.
Of course, that still left the line itself to get through - although at least it moved at a relatively quick pace. A brief stop to mention his name to the man at the gate and then on into the city proper.
And from there? Well, wandering had served him well before, perhaps it would do so again. But before that, might as well take a look at the strange metal contraption he had been given at the gate. A nearby bench looked both relatively out-of-the-way and unoccupied, so that was where he settled himself, before getting down to business.
Of course, the black coat with gold trim that he was wearing would most likely draw some attention, and if fate chose to play that card, he wouldn't argue. After all, life was a game of chance, and none could say for sure what would happen next.
