Foundation Day Festival: Food Tent
Character(s): everyone in the food tent
Content: food, and lots of it.
Setting: Joco da Crianca Fairgrounds, food tent
Time: all day~
Warnings: Multithreaded posting format (please include time of day and sub-location in your comment's subject line)
The food tent is the second biggest structure at the fair, next to the Ferris wheel. It's a large white tent set up near the far end of the grounds. Inside, the majority of the tent is filled with long tables (with white plastic tablecloths) and benches for seating.
The food, along one side of the tent, is set up buffet-style. They have a wide variety of hot and cold dishes, and it's all good stuff, having been catered by Café Ersesat. It's always well-stocked, too, somehow; if they run out of anything, it's replenished within a few minutes. There is also a small bar, where alcoholic drinks and cocktails are available upon request to anyone who looks old enough.

Re: 2:36 PM
"You know a lot about Sora," Nina said in between bites. "You must be really good friends with him!"
Re: 2:36 PM
Repliku paused in his munching at the statement and wondered, did he? Did he really know Sora? His memories were fake after all but it was hard to imagine the Sora who had asked him to protect Naminé differently. One thing he knew for sure though: Sora was Riku's best friend. "Yeah, something like that..."
Re: 2:36 PM
"A sort of fried concoction made with a silver pan, weaved in just the right way so it looks like an intertwined "cake," served with various topping. Good, in my estimation," the journal chirped.
See, it sounds really really good! But I've never seen it before, so I don't know exactly what it looks like. That didn't dampen her mood one bit, though--it just meant they would have to taste everything to find it!
"I hope you can find him," Nina said; she didn't know where Big Brother, Small Big Brother, or Daddy were, but she had Alexander, and Repliku had been all by himself, so he must have been sad.
Alexander, meanwhile, was continuing to sample everything on the table. Being a large dog with a little girl on his back had its advantages.
Re: 2:36 PM
"I hope so too," he paused in his search to smile warmly at her. Sadness wasn't something the replica would show easily. He might have been lonely, yes but then if you thought carefully about it he always had been alone, hadn't he? These were thoughts he tried his best not to think about and luckily Nina was there to distract him from them.
Re: 2:36 PM
"Since you're looking for someone and I am too, we should look together!" Nina suggested happily; after all, it was more fun to be around other people.
"But funnel cake first." Nina had her priorities, after all.
Re: 2:36 PM
"Oh? Who are you looking for?" Repliku's interest was piqued, were there people from her homeworld here? On that subject, he didn't recall asking her where she was from. "Where do you come from?"
The replica snickered, she sure had her priorities straight although in that kind of fashion only kids could have. There was another quick scan over the tables and a pause when he noticed something that looked like it could funnel cake. "I think I found it," he announced with a grin.
Re: 2:36 PM
She hadn't received any messages from them lately--she would have to check her box again to make sure. Maybe they were looking for her and just hadn't checked their boxes lately.
"I'm from Amestris," Nina said. "And I live in a big house with my daddy and Alexander! Where're you from?"
Nina's eyes widened at Repliku's last statement, and she hopped up and down, trying to look at the tables. There! "Funnel cake, funnel cake!" She made a mad dash for it.
Re: 2:36 PM
Amestris....Not a world he had heard of before but there were many worlds out there and he only knew a few. "I'm from..." Destiny Islands "Castle Oblivion." Again there was no mention of the brothers, but if they were her brothers surely they lived with her? "What about your brothers?"
Repliku followed at a more sedate pace, pausing for a moment to whistle and hope it would prompt Alexander into following. Finally their long search for the famed funnel cake came to an end, it seemed.
Re: 2:36 PM
"They're not my brother brothers," Nina explained. "But they're still big brothers!" It made sense to her, anyway--they were like older siblings to her; they took care of her and played with her and had even lived with her for a while.
"They're called Edward and Alphonse Elric! They know alchemy, and they lived with daddy for a while to study for a test, but then they had to go." She frowned--she had wanted to them to stay and play with her longer. Of course, they had promised to come back.
"Castle O-bliv-ian?" Nina echoed. "What's it like there?"
Re: 2:36 PM
"I see," Repliku nodded, strangely enough he understood the concept somewhat. Edward and Alphonse Elric, he'd be sure to remember those names. "Alchemy?" He pondered out loud. "Is that like the synthesizing Moogles do?" It was the only thing that came to mind.
"It's not so different from this place except it's a castle and not a city," he explained. "It's white and I suppose some would call it beautiful like this place, but it's boring."
Re: 2:36 PM
"I don't know what Moogles are, or what syyyn-the-siii-zing is. But Alchemy is where you draw a picture and turn things into other things! My daddy makes chimeras!"
She finished off her funnel cake in short order. Now that her mission had been accomplished, she could continue on with her other quests! Like finding Big Brother and Small Big Brother!
"Woow, a castle? Living in a castle should be fun!" It didn't seem like a castle could be boring. But maybe that castle had been.
Re: 2:36 PM
"Yup, a castle. It should be but unfortunately this one wasn't as fun." He could imagine the sound of 'castle' to be quite grand in the ears of a child. Something from a fairy tale, unfortunately Castle Oblivion was anything BUT a fairy tale. Perhaps it could have been a better place if it wasn't the Organization that ran it. The poor castle never stood a chance.
Re: 2:36 PM
Nina was picturing living teddy bears, now, with pompoms stuck to their heads like a hat. Being a four year old girl, she thought they sounded adorable, and decided if she ever met one, the Moogle would definitely get a hug. "Are there Moogles here?"
Nina had finished her funnel cake with all the speed of a young child who loved sugar--she could win a contest with that speed.
"I wanna go see a real castle, a fun one," Nina said. "But first I wanna see Big Brother and Small Big Brother."
She had her funnel cake. Maybe they could go find them now?
Re: 2:36 PM
"I'm not sure," he replied. "You'll know it's a moogle when it says 'Kupo!' a lot." They were handy little creatures that could even be found in Castle Oblivion, Repliku had no idea how they got there or why they would even want to be there, but their purpose had been about the cards you used in the castle.
Repliku finished his funnel cake a bit slower than Nina had. A real castle, huh? A shame there were none around he could show her though he doubted they would be fun anyway. "Let's go look for them."
Now that Nina's first priority had been settled it was time to move onto the next. He took her hand and guided her out of the tent, hopefully they'd be able to find the persons they were looking for.
