Re: Watching the Line - 1:30pm

If he didn't have people to meet in this festival, Auron doubted that he would be here. He had never really cared for gatherings such as this, and the things he had learned recently made him wonder about the safety of this event. There was indeed the possibility that he was just being too wary for his own good, but he would much rather be too guarded than be open to attack.

That thought was what led to his annoyance once he reached the end of the line. In all honesty, had the situation been any different, he would only have been slightly bothered in handing his sword over. After all, it was understandable that they'd want the festival to be safe, and making people turn in their weapons would get rid of many problems. He became used to having his blade kept safely away when he lived in Zanarkand. But, with things as they were, the former guardian couldn't help but be suspicious.

Looking over, Auron noted another man who seemed to be in a similar situation and wondered if he himself should step out of the line. He was holding most of the people back, and he hadn't decided whether the rewards outweighed the risks. Reluctantly, he stepped away, going through every possibility in his head.
