It was hard to travel when one had to keep one's face mostly out of sight. Luxord had started to use portals of darkness to travel within the city - it had become easier and more secure than simply walking, as he preferred. Switching to casual clothing, much as he despised it, also helped with the disguise. People expected less malice of a blue open-collared shirt and khaki slacks than they did a black coat, especially with recent events being what they were.

So he sat in the bar, a place where blonde faces came and went with gret regularity and little memory, and perused the cocktail menu, waiting for his partner in crime and drinking to arrive.
