Yay for reunions! ... Wait, who are you again?
Characters: Sora, Alice, and Kairi, if she wants!
Time: Afternoon
Setting: Outside the academy. J-4.
Summary: Sora and Alice have a cheerful, memoryless reunion. So, we'll see what happens from there.
Warnings: None, thus far!
Sora yawned and stepped outside of the Academy. It was strange... The boy, Riku, had vanished just out of no where! Sora and Kairi had been searching non-stop for him since then, though Kairi seemed really, really upset about it. Sora was too, but he had a feeling he would have been sadder if he could remember Riku, and he felt bad for forgetting him.
In his spare time, Sora had been tinkering with the box a little bit, somewhat relieved that it's use was becoming easier. How was he supposed to keep in touch with all the people that could be his friends without it? It was handy, and it had brought him Kairi! That was good, wasn't it?
It had also brought him, Alice, though he hadn't actually met her yet. But he felt as though he could trust her. She was coming to the academy to meet him! Which was good, because he didn't know where anything was, and he only knew where he was on the map because there was a little red dot! At least, he was pretty sure that was supposed to be him.
Ah well! Alice would be there soon!

Outside the academy she saw the boy banging away on his device, the very one that had led her to him. In a way, these journals reminded her of her own accounts in the asylum, where writing down observation had kept her sane.
She tapped him politely on the shoulder. "It is me Sora, Alice."

He wished he knew why he suddenly had forgotten, but he figured it could always be worse. It wasn't like he didn't have any friends, right? Right!
"Oh! Really? I'm Sora, but I guess you knew that, huh?"
no subject
If he had forgotten everything, Alice could see he certainly didn't ACT different. He still seemed rather plucky and almost upbeat. She supposed that was because He met someone who knew a little more about his lack of memory, but who knows? Perhaps his heart recognized hers.
Like I have one of those, she thought wryly. "Tell me, how did you come to be in this place?"
no subject
"I wound up here after the fight! It was kinda cold at first, thanks to the water, but I dried off!" He laughed a little at his statement.
But that toned down a bit. "Do you really think those guys made me forget everything?"
no subject
"Water?" Alice was confused about that part, but she was sure that Sora would explain himself soon. "I see. Yes Sora, I think they DID make you forget your memory, but I couldn't begin to tell you why any more than I could tell you why they attacked us in the first place. It may very well be that we got a little closer in discovering why we're stuck in this world in the first place. I have not discarded the theory that these cloaked felons that fought us may be the very reason we're here in the first place. Some of our answers reside with that mayor, but I am very interested in finding out what happened to the other people we were with that day. Luck you and I, some were merely thrown in a random place, but some turned up missing. I have reason to believe they've been kidnapped."
no subject
"And... Kidnapped? Who was kidnapped?" Sora asked with wide eyes. "Why would they do that...?"
It didn't make sense! Why would you kidnap someone? What could you get out of it besides a big headache?
no subject
"In any case, yes, kidnapped. Several people on the island, actually. I don't why they've done it, but I can surmise they didn't have good intentions about it. No, these people seem to mean business, and I've heard quite a few stories about what they do to their prey." She looked at Sora.
"You may need to use that Keyblade of yours after all, but from what I saw in our last battle, I may have a bit to learn from you."
no subject
"Keyblade?" he asked, his voice as confused as he looked. He didn't remember anything about a keyblade. What sort of weapon was that? And why would he have it-- he never remembered seeing it.
Plus, what she said implied that he had actually fought in that scary battle-- and he couldn't imagine doing that, mainly because he had no memory of ever doing something like that.

The boy would need a weapon until he regained his memory.
"Sora," Alice began, "I'm going to say this very carefully. You may be in danger. There are a dangerous group of folk here who like to cause trouble, and while you don't remember, you had a very strong weapon to fight them with. Now I'll be traveling with you, but I want to make sure you're not unprotected. So, here."
Alice handed him the croquet mallet, a staff that came up to the body with a flamingo's head carved at the very top. "You can whack enemies with this, but you can also send bolts of energy at them as well. Use it wisely."
Alice hated giving up one of her weapons, but it was OK. She still had others.

Riku... Riku wasn't going to be with them.
In time, she would slowly accept that as well. But... that was a little more difficult. Her two friends made Kairi who she was, and constantly refilled the hole within her heart.
But she understood. She really did.
And so she left the academy and smiled warmly to her friend and the new arrival, stepping up besides Sora and holding a hand out to the girl. "Hello, my name's Kairi, a friend of Sora's."
no subject
He looked to Alice, brightly saying, "Thanks! Uh, I'm not sure how to use it, but I'll figure it out soon enough, I think!" He hoped at any rate.
How did you use a mallet anyway? Was it like a hammer? Or was it special, and did you have to follow special rules when using it? Like hit it in a special way or what? Ah well, that'd be for later consideration. So, he looked back to Kairi from Alice, a knowing smile.
Well, as knowing as an amnesiac could be. "Kairi, this is Alice! She's my friend too!"
no subject
She turned her attention over to Sora. "As a melee weapon, it is easy enough to handle. Simply swing and do not miss your mark. However, there is another way of handling it as well. Watch Kairi, if you wish."
Alice close her eyes, holding the mallet with one hand. "You must concentrate your strength of will and remember that the weapon is an extension of your own abilities. Therefore, you simply concentrate, then STRIKE!"
At this, Alice opened her eyes and swung the mallet underhand, and a bolt of lightning hit a nearby faux tree, producing a rather nasty scorch mark. Alice nodded in that direction, spinning the mallet in her hand a moment before returning it to Sora. "That is how you make the most of your weapon."
