His lightsaber hadn't affected his opponent in the slightest. The rage and malice emanating from Kyuubi was intense, which made it all the easier for the Jedi Master to predict the bijuu's attack. Yoda reached out to the Force, his oldest and truest ally, and with a grand sweeping motion he tore the ticket office from where it once stood, hurling it to intercept his attacker. There was a shower of wood, glass and other materials as it collided with Kyuubi and Yoda was moving again. Using the doubtlessly painful distraction of having a ticket office thrown into him, he flipped an impossible ten meters over nine tailed beast, landing here he'd originally stood waiting with a grunt.

His intention here of course, was to distract Kyuubi from the presence of Garnet, whom through the Force, Yoda had felt come to some form of realization. He took this to men that she had both found him and regained her memories. He wondered how that had happened but didn't question it for the moment, glad in spite of his current situation for his young friend.

His thoughts quickly turned back to his opponent, no way was something that powerful and angry going to be so easily deterred. He calmly turned of his lightsaber and reattached it to his belt. It was doing him little good against his opponent and it would be easier to allow the Force to flow through him with his hands free.
