Testing….[Completed]
Character(s): Machu Picchu/The Winged Defender
Content: The Defender tests out her powers and hopes that her brilliant idea holds out long enough to be put to use.
Setting: Jogo da Crianca
Time: night
Warnings: nothing, other than worry and deviance
Picchu sat down against a tree in Jogo da Crianca. It was now the dark of night and the park seemingly empty. She had stopped by the pawn shop and exchanged some coins and jewels for some fine cloth, a small tin figurine, and a few lengths of fine jewelry chain.
Laying out the material in front of her, she began to arrange it into shapes around her. The air around her seemed hazy as she built up the energy, drawing out symbols with her hands and in her mind, balancing the mathematical equations. A string of energy formed and she knotted it into a ball. A kernel. She gave the kernel a name and watched it form into a very small bug-like creature. Shortly thereafter, it faded, leaving the glow of the kernel she had made. She frowned. Apparently new creations couldn’t exist autonomously here.
She made another kernel, smaller this time…adding a time reference to it. It took a slight bit longer to fade, but still faded in a short amount of time. Well, this wouldn’t be much use, but perhaps…. She glanced at the necklace chain and began to wrap a string of speech around it. Perhaps the power of life lasted longer here on the inanimate, rather than the animate. Few people knew that inanimate objects counted as life. Just not life as humans know it. Finally, she had a fluorescent crystal chain and pendant wrapped all the way around the necklace chain. It had been a different reference for the speech, but contained a kernel… A series of words associated with power and with creation. She turned to the figurine(a tin angel) tying a new series of words about it for healing. Now she had something for power, and something for healing. Hopefully the energy reserves attached to each would last long enough to be used. She hoped they would. Though the power necklace would be the most useful energy reserve. It could be used to feed magic, or to be granted to someone who needed it.
She flipped through the journal, worriedly looking over messages, as she rested against the tree, trying to restore a bit of her depleted energy. Using the speech here seemed to drain her much more easily than it did elsewhere and it also took longer to remedy. The time-space continuum in Paixao was different from what she was accustomed to, even though she had been in thousands of different places. A young boy had posted on the message board saying help and the ‘overlord’ that her brother liked so much had made a just barely coherent post. It was worrisome. It seemed like her work never ended here, even if her brother’s suspicion that this was one of her places was true. Though her own considered that it could be his as well. The thought that she even didn't know the alliance of the city panicked her a bit.
She cautiously used the cloth to wrap the newmade objects around her person as she took to the air. Maybe she could attempt to be an advocate for someone…somehow….if she could find someone.
