I've got a feeling I'm not in Japan anymore... [Active!]
Character(s): Kyon, Pegesus, and others maybe?
Content: Kyon's walked through the gate a little disgruntled
Setting:Muspelheim
Time: Afternoon ish
Warnings: Kyon's sarcasm, otherwise, none. XD
Kyon walked about the cobblestoned street just out side the gate he came through. He had the digital journal tucked under the crook of his arm, and just promptly stared at the setting before him.
It was something straight out of a science fiction novel.
Well, if Kyon had any doubts before, they were gone now.
He screwed up. He'd thought that kissing the girl would set it all right, he didn't expect Haruhi to destroy the freaking world!!
Well, so far nothing seemed too awful. There were no giant glowing monsters destroying the city.
The task placed at Kyon's feet were now to hunt down Koizumi, or whatever he was reincarnated to in this world, and to find Haruhi, and maybe reason with her. She was still unaware that she had those powers of hers but...he had to do something.

At any rate, he'd headed to a quaint little café near the gate soon after to dry off and have a nice, hot cup of coffee while he figured out his journal. As the pounding rain had turned into a blizzard, he'd decided to stay put, and ordered himself some lunch while he made a brief post (http://ambiguouscamp.livejournal.com/713.html) and watched the curtains of snow fall past the window. He'd waited out the tumultuous thunderstorm that had followed after it, too.... How on earth did people keep track of the weather here, with such violent swings every few hours? It was absurd! Who would know how to dress appropriately? Perhaps the natives just dressed in layers, and had no qualms about peeling a few off or putting them on in public as the weather dictated....
It was getting on in the afternoon by the time Pegasus ventured forth from his shelter, looking on at the sight before him in slight disappointment. Not that it wasn't pretty, but the thunderstorm had really wrecked all that lovely snow.... He supposed it wasn't anything to feel too bad about, after all. That much of the stuff could very well have snowed him into the restaurant, and then where would he be, hmm? The storm had carved a fair amount of it off, though where it had gotten off to, he had no idea.
He headed back towards the fiery gate for lack of any better ideas, supposing that it was the best landmark to start off from before he went anywhere else. He spotted a young man staring though, and couldn't help but feel sympathetic. That kind of shock felt all too familiar at the moment, and he was so young.... He had brown hair, too, which seemed to confirm that he wasn't one of the natives. He looked about Chizuru's age, actually, and it definitely looked like he was wearing a school uniform.... hopefully this encounter would be less awkward and more helpful for the both of them.
"Excuse me, dear?" Pegasus smiled at Kyon as he approached, briefcase in one hand and the other lifted to wave. "You look like you've seen a ghost. Is something the matter?"

He looked the man down and idly wondered if maybe this was...No, he didn't look a thing like him, he looked like he was past his twenties.
...But, he certianly gave off that sort of vibe he did. The vibe that slightly gave Kyon the creeps. He also remembered how he was told that anything could happen when Haruhi went about recreating the world.
"Koizumi?" He asked, curiously. If this was Koizumi, he'd probably burst out laughing and make fun of his hair. If it wasn't ...well this would be awkward.

Smiling a little--which probably only made him creepier, had he been aware of it--at the boy's curiosity, Pegasus opened his mind. Not much, and he didn't intend to actually reach in and stir anything up.... but enough to perhaps pick up any stray thoughts that were strong enough to be broadcasted. "I'm afraid not, my boy. Did you come in with them?" Again, he had to wonder why he wasn't recognized--this one was obviously Japanese too. And he was a big name in Japan and overseas, wasn't he? Industrial Illusions was everywhere! It was almost disappointing.

One might mistake her for some bizarre version of a harpy or a siren with her long raven hair and young face, although the modern sweatshirt, jeans and sneakers, made it all the more awkward for the tall, winged (and tailed) woman carrying a sword. She knelt down after checking to see if the area was clear enough. "Excuse me? Foreigners, as well?" she asked in a voice that sounded far older and more parrot-like than her looks.
Both seemed at least slightly newer than herself by the way they automatically gathered together. It was funny, really how much each of them chose to join up with others in the same predicament. Though, it could be expected. Humans had been pack-creatures at one point, though many of the traces of that history had slowly gone obsolete, leaving only the wizards and families to engage in pack-mentalities as well as the independent ones.

And he knew Koizumi's smile. He swore that was all Koizumi was capable of doing. That and coming up with sensless philosophical metephors. Wierdo.
He frowned alittle and felt kind of embrassed when the guy answered his question. He was so hoping some of this could have been easy. Guess not, knowing his luck.
He recognized that the man was speaking english. Having taken it for atleast 7 years in school he answered back with a slight accent. "Um, No. I was kind of hoping they were here, somewhere, though."
Suddenly something occured to him, "How did you know there were more tha--" He trailed off seeing the nine foot, bird-like lady coming towards them. His mouth hung open for a minute before he regained his barrings. this place was DEFFINATLY Haruhi's creation.
"Um...yeah, could say that..." He managed out.

He stared. And stared some more. She was.... well, beautiful. Timeless. Like some sort of fantastic classic Greek monster with a modern twist. Harpies, sirens, angels, all of them were depicted as both beautiful and terrible at some point, frighteningly alluring creatures of enchantment and perfection that could bring you weeping to your knees with a gaze or song. And somehow she did seem to be all of that, despite the cheery rainbow feathered wings and tail of a scarlet macaw, despite the casual, utterly modern clothing--which clashed intensely with the blade she carried.
But there was also the fact that he wasn't even on eye-level with her navel, if she even had one. There was also the fact that, even kneeling, she was taller than he was. And that she sounded surprisingly similar to the bird which she resembled.
Today just kept getting stranger and stranger.... "Indeed we are!" He smiled up at the strange woman, keeping his composure despite the shock of the meeting. "And who might you be, my dear?"

"You can call me Picchu. There are other names, but that's the easiest to use. I've been here for a while now." She went distant for a few minutes, thinking, as she realized her brother was nearby and in a bad mood, and also feeling two events more distant that were unusual and bothersome as they had a similar feel to the manipulation the Lone One could focus. He'd said he needed power, though...so it didn't make sense, unless he were lying to her.
After the long pause she said, "I've managed to gather a decent understanding of this place, although I still say it's quite different from what I'm used to. Your names?" She figured it would be best to start the questions and answers slowly for the time being.

He was still slightly staring up at her, when he remembered that the taller guy had asked him about his uniform. Huh, that was wierd. He turned to him for a moment and said, "yeah, I was recently at school."
Sort of. It was a fake North High, that was created by Haruhi in closed space, but yeah, still school.
With that he turned back to looking up at the large winged woman. This was uneniable proof that Haruhi had recreated the world right? That's the only reasonable possibility for what he was seeing now.
But it didn't really add up. Haruhi was no where in site, and Koizumi's theories contradicted the whole situation.
According to him, Haruhi was rational enough to know that things like this couldn't happen, regardless of her powers, so she never found out about what she did. This here blew that away completely.
So, was this really what he thought it to be? He wouldn't know until he got some information.
He nodded to Picchu, and asked, "So what can you tell us about this...place," He glanced around at the domes. He hoped maybe this could help him figure out what was going on.

Pegasus only nodded at the comment about being at school; it seemed to make sense to him, even if it was somehow.... fake? Created? By an oblivious friend no less.... He'd keep his mind tuned for anything else regarding this Haruhi. Perhaps if she were found, he might be able to think of a way to ask for her help. If she could create a world, surely she could bring Cecilia back to him?
"Yes, an explanation would be nice, if you could." Picchu seemed to be the only person who knew anything in the area, so far.

She pulled out her journal and pressed a few buttons to get her back to her sibling's post a while ago that linked a great deal of information through out the journal system.
She turned the journal around, so they'd be able to look at her brother's screenname(dark-dealer) as well as the post so that they could locate it on their own journal.
"The city is basically something of a vacuum that brings in people from different places and times. No one's certain why, though. The civilians don't give answers." She paused, "This entry I'm showing you is actually one of my brother's entries. He has an attitude problem with most people, so he can be somewhat offensive, but he's usually good in what he can find and condense into one place. It's a decent overview."
After making sure her two companions had found the entry, she bowed her head, "And unfortunately, I have some business to take care of. I'll see you around." She began walking back toward Paixao Central, chasing after the weakened dark energies that denoted her brother that clashed so much with the general feel of the city.

He looked on as the large bird-woman explained the entry that held a majority of the towns information. He nodded with her explanation of the town as well.
A vaccum, huh? That pulled others from their respective deminsions...?
Maybe Haruhi really wasn't behind this, after all.
Which eased his mind slightly. He didn't think he knew what he would do if he was partly responsible for the recreation of existence as he knew it.
But it begged the question of "What now?" in his mind. He didn't see a hint of the others on the network when Picchu had run through it. As far as he knew, he was alone in this city right now.
And that scared him a little.
He looked at the retreating woman and nodded in her direction. "Thanks for the help." He wasn't sure if she heard him, but oh well.
no subject
"Good luck, then!" He waved after her cheerily enough as she left, still wowed by the sheer size of the woman. Still, this Haruhi girl loomed even larger in Kyon's mind, despite the fact that she had evidently not recreated existence as the boy had thought. He really hoped he could use that talent of hers somehow, if she was here.... then again, he hoped he wouldn't need to. Wouldn't it be a lovely surprise to find her in the city somewhere?
"So!" He clapped his hands together brightly, turning to Kyon and beaming. "Penny for your thoughts, Kyon-boy? We've information, but no ideas--or at least, none on my end. How about you?"
no subject
That had to be one of the wierdest things he's ever been called. Well, save for 'Kyon' it was. He still hated how his sister managed to spread that name around after his aunt had called him it by accident.
He was asking on what to do next, he thought.
That was a good question.
It suddenly hit him that he was in this city on his own, without any money, shelter, or food. He was practically a hobo!!
"Um. I ...don't know." Kyon scratched the back of his head and glanced around. "Sensible thing would be to find a play to stay." Though, he didn't really know how he was going to accommplish that.
