Dark Summons [Completed]
Character(s): Ansem, Hojo, Vicious, Greed
Content: Ansem and friends abduct people to turn into Heartless.
Setting: Fortress of Darkniss, Paixao
Time: Tuesday night
Warnings: not yet
Perhaps he had been busy with his new guest longer than he'd thought. His little prince seemed to have wandered off. It was just as well; no doubt the work Ansem had to do this evening would bore him as well.
He thought he may as well start it.
Hojo sat in the corner near the mother computer, looking for all the world as if he'd fallen asleep with his eyes open. Fortunately, the first part of his plan did not require the stooge's assistance.
Ansem knelt on the floor and began to draw his casting circle, labeling the points with the appropriate sigils and incorporating the symbols of power as necessary. He would not have needed this power boost if he were not casting the summons over a distance, or if he were possessed of the full powers he'd had before his undoing by the Keyblade master. For now, it was necessary.
The circle complete, Ansem stood and concentrated, clasping his hands and closing his eyes to cast the summons like a great dark net over the city. It would not work on all minds, merely ones in a particularly suggestible state currently, ones more susceptible to the Darkness.
He did not need the entire population of the city, after all. Just enough to create a small militia would do.
Once the spell had been set in motion, there was little to do but put his servants in place and wait.
Speaking of which...

"Mr. Hojo. Your assistance."

no subject
"Hm?" He spun the chair around, standing once it was facing the majority of the room and walking over. He didn't even notice the circle until he'd gotten to it and when he did he tilted an eyebrow, moving to nudge at it with one foot. "...What is that?"
no subject
Hojo's reaction was the perfect demonstration of why such important spell aids could not be drawn with chalk. Ansem stepped out of the circle and proceeded to one of the workbenches overrun with beakers and chemical paraphernalia. As he spoke, he grabbed various materials from the table and threw them together, apparently at random.
"I have summoned a large number of test subjects to the gates of the city. You will await those that will be arriving at the Vanaheim Gate. Once they have left the city, bind them all together and toss this powder on the ground. It will bring you back here."
He turned and offered the scientist a twist of paper with some strange-coloured powder inside. A length of rope the consistency of human hair, eerily slim and strong appeared in Ansem's gloved hand, and he held that out to Hojo as well.
"Wait no longer than two hours. And make certain you have hold of the bindings yourself before casting the transport spell, or you will leave them behind."
no subject
It wasn't that he didn't understand the instructions. He understood them perfectly. It was that it shouldn't work. And he was being treated as if he were the stupid one. What in the world was Ansem up to?
Hojo took the two items in one hand, accessing the map in his journal with the other. He frowned.
"...The Vanaheim gate will take at least that long to reach, if not longer. Unless you have very fast transport for me I'm not going to be back in two hours."
no subject
If he was lucky then Ansem would be there but if he wasn't then Hojo could be counted on for something to rough up for information. Thankfully, his employer was there in the labs working on something that appeared to be magic. If this had been another world he might not of believed in it but Paixao seemed full of the bizarre.
Completely out of the realm of experience, Vicious kept quiet and slipped into the lab closing the door behind. He took up a spot against a piece of equipment and out of the way of the chalk symbol drawn on the floor.
"Finally starting?"
He asked he obvious to simply make Ansem aware of his presence in a reasonably polite manner.
To Hojo and Vicious
A soft query from the other side of the room alerted him to his second servant's presence. "On schedule," he replied, vaguely tweaked by the implication that he was not.
Without missing a beat, he continued, giving Vicious his instructions. "You will await the subjects arriving at the Niflheim Gate. As I just told Mr. Hojo, you will wait two hours only, binding them together with this," a second rope appeared in his hands, "and keeping a firm grip on it yourself before activating the transport spell."
He extended a second twist of powder and the rope to Vicious. "Do you have any questions?"
To Ansem
"Pretty straight forward. I'll be fine."
no subject
Hojo was completely speechless. Well, he did attempt to speak but he couldn't really manage to form words so he shut his mouth.
What. The. Hell.
To Hojo and Vicious
"Do not fail me, Mr. Hojo," were his only parting words.
Once the scientist had gone through, Ansem recalibrated the Gate to come out at Vanaheim. He gestured for Vicious to step through.
"Very well, then. I shall await your return."
no subject
Seeing the bustle around him, the guardian raised his head only long enough to make a short inference, "We move today, Master?"
To Greed
"Yes, my Guardian," he answered. "You will harvest subjects from the Joutenheim Gate." He handed Greed a rope and a transport spell as he had the others. "Come back to me in two hours with all those who have answered the summons to that gate."
He waited for Vicious to step through to Niflheim before recalibrating the Dark Gate for his Guardian.
Re: To Greed
Greed cracked his neck and began to sheild his body in it's entirety, the black shingled obsidian creeping down his arms and body and up his face.
Just before the ultimate sheild reached over his jawline, he amused himself outloud, "Alright boys, get your game faces on."
To Ansem and Greed
There was work to be done.
