Kadaj nodded. "Family is very important. I remember we talked about that, before...." The more he remembered their correspondence in the journals, the more empathy for this girl he began to feel. He tilted his head, examining her features. As much as he hated to admit it, that particular expression had crossed his own face quite a bit in his time here, and he grimaced very slightly now as the completely unfamiliar feeling of guilt crept up on him.
