Oh nyetz [COMPLETE]
Character(s): Hanataro Yamada
Content: Hanataro shows up!
Setting: Joutenheim Gate
Time: Mid-afternoon
Warnings: Hanataro has no idea what's going on D:
The first thing he noticed when he woke up was the smell of the air.
The 4th division always smelt clean, sterile, like someone spent all their time cleaning the halls and floors with bleach. It was always very white, pristine, and the smell carried even into the living quarters, where the members of the 4th division took their job’s cleaning habits into their personal lives. (Hanataro’s own room was mostly empty, futon was always carefully made, and generally the room looked un-lived in.) So when he woke up and smelled the scent of grass, dirt, and the general outdoors, he grew worried.
His first thought was someone had pulled a prank on him and had moved him outside in his sleep. It had happened before, and people never lacked an excuse for pulling one on him.
When his eyes opened and he sat up to look around, he realized he was wrong. This place wasn’t Seireitei, it wasn’t even Soul Society as far as he could tell. Shuffling up to his feet immediately, he looked around in a panic. The domes looming ahead of him were quite an intimidating sight, and even though he saw people lining up to go inside, Hanataro wasn’t exactly eager to get in line.
But he didn’t know what else to do, either. So he got in line with all the blonde haired, blue eyed people, and looked around nervously. He had asked the person in front of him once what they were in line for, only to be ignored. Trying not to panic about this, he waited as patiently as he could until he got to the front of the line.
He saw a large, intimidating man in the booth before him, but he pulled his lips into an uncertain smile anyway. “U-uhm… excuse me… Could you please tell me what’s going on?” He asked, a hand coming up to rub the back of his neck. A bad habit.
“You’re in Paixao. Here’s your journal. And some pamphlets. What’s your name?” The man inquired, shoving the previously mentioned materials into Hanataro’s shaking hands.
“Uhm… Hanataro Yamada… But..”
“Good. Go on in. Have a nice day.” The man said politely, but he was clearly hoping Hanataro wouldn’t ask anymore questions and move on.
“Thanks..” Hanataro replied, unsure, but he moved along, walking into the gate and into the domed city ahead of him.
Looking at everything in his arms, he frowned and opened up a pamphlet to begin reading.
Better to be prepared, right?
