WHERE IS HE~? [Completed]
Character(s): Karst, Laharl, possibly more.
Content: Meeting. Then Karst goes on her merry way to maul Ivan.
Setting: Actua Are (N9)
Time: Shortly after noon, after the weather starts
Warnings: Karst's burning need to kill Ivan, and the potentially violent meeting between a Proxian and a demon Overlord.
She'd forgotten how much she hated Jupiter Adepts. Then she'd stepped out of the train station and been quite literally blown off her feet by a gust of wind, startled by the crack of lightning and ensuing rumble of thunder, and rather forcefully reminded of said hatred.
Oh, yes. She hated Jupiter Adepts. First they violated one's privacy with their clairvoyance, precognition, and mind-reading powers, then they used those diabolical resistance-raising techniques, then they threw one about with wind and thunder and lightning until one could barely tell which way was up. She'd forgotten.
And now, of course, Karst was not only forced to struggle against these forces toward the inn where the coward was no doubt hiding his face, but she was forced to face the realization that a Jupiter Adept, one of those who know the truth and typically honor it so much with their honesty... had gone back on his word.
Isaac could wait. For now, she needed to kill his little blonde mind-reading sidekick.

He'd spent sometime on the journals, where he had discovered a post from Etna. A different Etna from before. He wasn't exactly sure how that had happened, but he now had answers to why she was so angry AND a deal with her.
Pudding. To think it was all over pudding. It still exasperated him, but if a stupid bowl of pudding would was enough for her act like how things were, it was an easy choice to make. He didn't have his army of vassals, and with so many large groups of people starting to gather, he had no intentions of being beaten to defeating the one responsible for his kidnapping. He needed his right-hand.
Now, he just had to get to her. Figures she'd end up at a far gate. He'd been considering heading that way anyways, so he had said they'd head up to find her. However, first things first, he needed to meet with this "Karst" lady.
He wasn't sure where everyone else was, but he figured he'd find them. It wasn't like he was leaving the hotel.
He slipped from the room and headed downstairs to the lobby to wait for Karst near the door, arms folded to his chest as he watched the rain pouring down outside.

First things first, she told herself. Find this Laharl person, inquire what he knows of the city of Paixao, reestablish alliance with him, THEN go find and kill that treacherous Adept!
It would help if the wind and rain weren't combining to make a terrible mess of her, both physically and mentally. Muttering oaths under her breath, she finally located the inn, ducked through the door as quickly as she could, and spent the next minute finger-coming her hair back into place, making sure nothing significant had been blown away in the trek, and also getting her thoughts back into order-- fighting would be so much easier once she could think clearly enough to know what she was doing.

Stepping a few strides towards her, he halted a few feet away, relaxing into his usual sideways slouched posture. After standing there moment watching her comb through her hair, he cleared his throat to get her attention.
"Oi? Would you happen to be 'Karst'?" he questioned, peering up at.

"Yes. You are the Overlord Laharl, I presume?" she queried politely through gritted teeth, her new scythe leaning into the crook of one bent elbow as she finished one cape and moved on to the other. "I... apologize for the tantrum I had over the journals, I was quite infuriated to be blown off my feet repeatedly on the way here and perhaps may have overreacted a little."
Now that greetings were out of the way and most of the water out of her garments (though the bag containing her provisions was most likely beyond hope), it was time to get down to the matter of why she had wished to meet the Overlord in person. "I wished to inquire if there was anything you had learned of this city that I did not yet know. Presume that I know very little-- I am a very recent arrival here."

(OOC: Sorry it's taking me forever to get on/post. Not only is college being horrible to me, I've lost some of my inspiration for RP-ing, and it's becoming more and more a chore than a joy.)

"The weather does seem damn weird," he noted as he glanced out the window again. Er, hang on. It was now snowing? What the hell? His brows furrowed in confusion. What was going on...?
Turning his crimson gaze back to her, he felt his annoyance grow. Damnit. He was starting to think no one read the journals very thoroughly. Why did he seem to be the one people thought had answers? Then again, this was his own fault wasn't it? He paid attention and tended to give people answers, along with a good attempt to rub it in their faces.
He had been rather bored, and people kept blabbing stuff on there. A lot was pointless, but every now and then you caught something interesting. It also was somewhat amusing to annoy the idiot humans on there.
"I haven't exactly been here long myself, tch. I just pay attention to stuff," he muttered, shaking his head, the long tendrils of hair on the top of his head, bouncing slightly with the movement.
"What the hell do you want to know exactly?" he questioned, glancing back up at her. He didn't really feel like going through all that he knew if he didn't have to. He had Etna to meet up with, and other plans to set in motion.

"I've listened to the comments of the girl Raven in her journal," she said brusquely, realizing that she was wasting his time and she had to go scare and possibly maul Ivan. "I've learned, more or less, how to cope with the everyday needs of survival in this city, and that the brief onslaught of those Nobody creatures was not natural, any more than the weather right now would seem to be-" and here she turned and mentally gagued the snowfall. Traveling anywhere from here would be difficult and aggravating. "- though it might be said that I'm not as convinced as I was earlier that Ivan is to blame. Snow is beyond his power. But I digress. People are arriving in this city, at an alarming rate, who should not be here. From many different worlds, from many different cultures, and for unknown purposes. Is that also the summary of your knowledge, Overlord?"
If it was, then perhaps her work here was done.

"Hhm. That's about the extent of it," he agreed after a moment. He went silent for a moment as he went over what he had discovered in his head to see if there was anything she missed.
"Hnn... About all I can add, if you don't already know, is there's some sort of organization that were in control of those "Nobody" creatures. There's several people on the boards that are starting to make me wonder... tch... But I don't know anything for sure," he explained, turning his gaze back to her as he spoke.
"That, and there's a very large amount of people from the same worlds starting to gather. "Soul Society"... "Arrancar"... "Turks". Hmph..." he added, sounding rather annoyed at it all. "I don't know who they are, but there's an awful damn lot of them."

She nodded a quick and polite "good day" to him, then detached the remaining metal heel of a boot and flipped it across the desk to the inn clerk, who caught the gleaming bit of metal and tucked it away somewhere, tossing her a dull and tarnished room key in return. It would be foolish to attempt passage through snow now almost as high as her boots, and she needed a plan of action first.
She'd bragged about not letting her rage blind her, and now it had. She'd let her fury get the upper hand a little too much with the recent weather, so an apology to Ivan was possibly the first thing in order, before making plans to investigate the city any further...

(OOC: Looks like we're wrapping that one up, then! Laharl can go back to
worrying about Timonyelling at Flonne for no good reasonslacking off, I guess.)no subject
He wouldn't say it had been exactly a waste of time, but he could have at least tracked Flonne down by now. It had probably been more of a waste for her. Oh well... that was her problem that she'd expected something more out of him than what he knew. He didn't particularly care to dwell on it.
Unlike Karst, he had plans, and that didn't include staying here.
Giving her a glance and a slight nod, he turned heading for the elevator to return to the room to see if he could find the Love Freak, not to mention Timon...
((OOC: Hehe closing it up then XD; Slacking? Oh no~ Laharl has plans~ >D ))
