Vash hummed with pleasure once they got into the donut shop, just the smell of the baking pastries making it easy for him to not regret coming indoors. It was a little warmer in here, and there were donuts, so what more could you ask for?

He was beyond surprised when Jayne asked that question. Vash turned to stare at him, amazed, "...Are you talking about the donuts? You've never seen a donut before??" How was that even possible? He knew there were plenty of strange people in this city, but this really took the cake. There was nothing to do but to remedy this, right away. "I'll get you one! You've got to try it, they're really good!"

After that, Vash marched up to the counter with newfound purpose. The lady standing behind it was eyeing the two of them disapprovingly, no doubt for dripping all over her floor. "I want one of everything you've got!" Vash told her, cheerfully. His expression got a little less cheerful at her near-glare, and laughed somewhat nervously, "We got caught out there in the rain, so... could we have some towels, too? If you've got any?"

The shopkeep clicked her tounge, "Lucky you're a paying customer," before disappearing into the back of the bakery, returning a minute later with a few white towels.
