Danny felt for a moment Misha's wings deteriorate but solidify once again. She was trying to make them vanish out of fear for Valerie. There wasn't anything he could do about it either. He could let go of them, and show them to Valerie, but damn what would she do?

He looked down at Misha and silently asked her a: "What do you want me to do?"
