"Human beings should not be used as test subjects, Hojo!" Vincent stepped closer to the scientist, grabbing him by the collar. "You will leave Lucrecia alone!" Vincent was angry, and it was about time he stood up to the man. But, Hojo only laughed his maniacal laugh, and reached into his coat pocket. Seething with anger Vincent tossed the man aside, and he tumbled into his desk with a loud thud.
As he walked toward the door Vincent heard a loud bang. Turning around he saw Hojo propping a gun up on his knee, laughing still. A glance down at his stomach showed a clean bullet wound in his stomach. Muttering, "Lucrecia..." he folded over sideways, and fell unconscious.

"Is this...the lifestream?" All around he saw the green waves of the Planet's energy, pulling him downward. Unable to fight the current he simply fell through empty space. There was a sensation of falling, and Vincent started getting sick to his stomach. At last the lifestream's energy grew thin, and the space around him became black.
After an immeasurable amount of time, Vincent woke up. The first thing he noticed was he was on what seemed like grass, and he wasn't injured any more. Sitting up, the TURK scanned his surroundings, first noticing the large gate in front of him. He pulled himself to his feet, and headed to the gate. With a brush or two Vincent straightened out his suit, and need up in front some kind of kiosk.
"Excuse me, sir? Can you tell me where I am?" he asked the man, who seemed to be sleeping. No answer. "Excuse me, sir!" Still no reply. Vincent pulled out his pistol and fired directly into the sky. And the man woke up.
"Jeez, you didn't have to be so rude!" the man yelled groggily, wiping the sleep from his eyes.
"It was necessary. Now, can you tell me where this is?" he asked once more, returning the pistol to its holster. The man scratched his face, yawning.
"Yer in Paixao, stranger. This is the Muspelheim Gate. Now tell me you're name," the man pointed to what looked like a list of names.
"Paixao...? I've never heard of this city," Vincent looked up at the large flames bewildered. How did he get here? The last thing he remembered was Hojo...
"Hey! Snap out of it will ya! Tell me yer name," the clerk said repeated, annoyed.
"Valentine, Vincent Valentine," he said without looking. The gate was magnificent, but just where was he?
"Take this," he passed a journal, "this," he passed a small pamphlet. "Now go on inside, we've been waiting for you." With the last sentence Vincent finally looked into the kiosk to find it empty, with a sign that said, "Closed." Left with no options Vincent entered through the gate to a city of mystery, Paixao.
"Maybe you're here too...Lucrecia..."
