This guy really wasn't very friendly, was he? Vash had been wondering if there was something going on in the area for him to be needing all that, but apparently, there wasn't. Or else he needed the guns for something less than legal and wasn't going to be telling the truth. Because honestly, if Vash hadn't been told about the monsters that had formerly been in the city, he wouldn't have seen any reason at all for more firepower. This entire place just looked peaceful, and the residents sure didn't give off the impression that this city had seen much of any trouble at all.

Somewhat bemused at hearing that statement, he turned to fully face him now, asking with raised eyebrows, "You need all that for meeting a woman?..." Oh, ouch. Now that was almost enough to make Vash feel sorry for the guy. He grinned a little as he said, "Good luck!"
