Night of Wijinruit; Reprise [Active]

Character(s): Kurosaki Ichigo, Shiba Kaien, Kuchiki Rukia, Amane Misa, Pumbaa, Kovu, Kon and anyone else who wishes to join this lovely reunion.
Content: Both Ichigo and Kaien reunite with Rukia and many people join in the "party".
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Late Night
Warnings: Massive awkwardness and confusion.

It had by far been a longer day than yesterday. Though Kaien had traveled by himself, there was a certain sense of peace. Now, however, there was Ichigo. Some thing was certainly... strange about the situation. The shinigami had gotten over the fact that Ichigo looked almost exactly like him but there was something about him that made him uneasy.

Rukia had mentioned that she already knew Ichigo, or rather that she was friends with him. But that didn't make sense. As far as Kaien knew, she had never been stationed on Earth yet. And then there was the fact that no humans have ever been to the Soul Society. How did she meet him? Kaien did not fail to notice his overwhelming reitsu either.

But Ichigo wasn't the only thing that seemed out of place. Rukia had acted strange when they spoke or at least more than normal. She seemed extremely surprised to see him and not only that but she had said she was happy to see him again. He saw her just yesterday! But when the shinigami mentioned that, Rukia seemed to think differently.

What in the world was going on?

After hours of silent trekking, the pair had finally arrived at Paixao Central Station. They had traveled for hours along a road parallel to what the citizens had called a railroad track. Kaien had heard of railroads on Earth but had yet to see one, nor a train on the move. That deprivation was soon remedied. The station was also one of the many wonders of Earth where trains were always located and stopped to pick up passengers. Despite how crowded it was, Kaien found it fascinating.

They had found a small open area with a bench and one of the many artificial trees of the city. The vice captain inclined his neck to inspect the night sky before turning to Ichigo.

"Guess we wait for Rukia, right?"

So far, Misa found the city of Paixao to be a very pretty place. The buildings are intricately decorated and the people wear such pretty clothing. She thinks that the residents of Paixao could do with a little more smile but she supposes that smiling to strangers is just not their custom. Still skipping along while following Rukia's butterfly, Misa twirls around to let the others catch up to her before skipping again.

Through her journals, she found a strange man who claimed to know Kira, but the man doesn't seem to be with Kira, so it should be alright for now. Besides, Misa is sure that Raito is here, and Raito will surely know what to do. The man seems unsure about whether Raito is in this city or not but Misa knows that he is. Misa feels happy and safe, so she knows that Raito is here. Oh, such is the power of love!

Noticing that the butterfly is now flying around in tiny circles near an artifical tree instead of heading somewhere, Misa tilts her head to the side curiously. "Ne~ What's wrong butterfly-san~?" She trills while watching the creature curiously. "Kuchiki-san? What happened to butterfly-san~?" She calls out to the other girl.

Once they arrived at Paixao Central Station, Ichigo took a look around. The place was rather big, a train station, and it looked like an old-time train as opposed to the bullet train and subways of Japan. Crammed to the brim with people, he had the feeling anyone could easily get lost in the crowd here.

He didn't like it very much. Despite the bench, he stayed standing, keeping an eye out for Rukia. Even though he had decided Kaien wasn't jerking him around, he still would much rather here from Rukia what was going on.

"Right." He finally replied, finally turning back to look at Kaien. Spotting Rukia would be hard because she was so short but this area seemed open enough to allow for it.

He just wanted some answers, really.

[identity profile] adoptednobility.livejournal.com 2007-01-26 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
The petite, dark-haired shinigami followed behind an exuberant Misa at a more sedate pace, her mind whirling with endless thoughts and nagging questions that she realized she could find no answer to. Why was Kaien-dono still alive? Why hadn't he remembered the events that had led to his death? What should she tell him? Was pretending not to know anything else even an option?

Her fists clenched within the folds of her shinigami uniform, her gaze was mostly focused on the ground for the large part of the journey, right until she head Misa address her.

The butterfly was indeed circling a particularly artificial looking tree, and she blinked. They were here so soon? But she wasn't prepared yet! What if she blurted out something that she hadn't intended for? She'd seen the way Kaien-dono change ever since his wife's death, and she remembered thinking that if she had a chance, she could somehow erase that, undo it so that he remained the carefree person he had used to be.

But...would that be selfish?

Moving closer, she blinked, catching a shock of bright orange hair and a familiar face. Well, two familiar, almost identical faces, and the sight of it made her stop short. It was one thing to hear from Kaien-dono through the journals, and an entirely different thing to actually see him once again, looking like he always had years ago.

[identity profile] warthogrhapsody.livejournal.com 2007-01-27 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Pumbaa, cheerfully followed along behind Misa for most of the long trek into the city, but had eventually dropped back with Rukia, as he had started to grow tired. Walking on this bumpy-rocked ground was hard on the hoofs. He found himself missing the soft ground and grass of the savannah, but he held in any complaints as there was nothing to be done about it really, was there?

He also didn't complain that it looked like he wouldn't be able to meet up with Timon tonight. He was glad just to know that Timon was here, and was okay. From how big this place seemed to be, he understood it would probably take awhile to find his pal. He could be patient.

Unlike Misa, who's attention was on the butterfly, Pumbaa's gaze kept drifting up at Rukia, who'd grown very thoughtful and quiet for most of the long walk. The warthog often missed things, but even he could see something was eating at her.

When she suddenly stopped, he paused in his step to look up at her again, his expression worried, "Miss Rukia...? Is everything okay?"

[identity profile] belongtoraito.livejournal.com 2007-01-30 11:53 am (UTC)(link)
Noticing how Rukia suddenly stopped as if in shock, Misa lets the smile drop from her lips. "Ano... what's wrong Kuchiki-san?" She leaves the trill behind as the expression on Rukia's face indicates that it is no time to be all hyperactive and chirpy. Misa was just going to walk over to the other girl to perhaps comfort her when a voice calls out to Rukia from behind Misa.

Misa twirls around on her feet to find herself facing two men who look almost identical. Twins, perhaps? Placing one finger on her lips, she looks on in wonder as one of them walks over to Rukia to give her a resounding slap on the back. That must hurt. They seem to be good friends though, so Rukia might just be overwhelmed with happiness or something, which is good.

Giggling to herself, Misa links her hands behind her while swinging around happily as the man who greeted Rukia start pestering her. Rukia has found a friend, how nice!

[identity profile] hewhoprotects.livejournal.com 2007-01-31 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
Seeing Rukia arrive with another girl and a pig was a little surprising. Hearing the pig talk was even more surprising. Considering he knew a talking cat, however, he got over it quickly.

Kaien had approached the stunned-looking Rukia first, and he was a bit glad for it. At least someone seemed relaxed about this. He wasn't sure what was wrong with the situation, but something felt very off.

Deciding that he'd let Kaien talk to Rukia first, and hopefully for some answers from their conversation, Ichigo hung back, crossing his arms over his chest while he waited.

Man. He hated being patient.

[identity profile] adoptednobility.livejournal.com 2007-02-01 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
There was a reason why physics existed. And why, in that moment, Rukia wished that it hadn't. Barely saving herself from doing a spectacular tumble forward - just barely - the small-sized shinigami resisted the urge to feel if her lung had been displaced somehow.

Biting back an instinctive snarky remark - really, she hadn't been this snarky before she met Ichigo; the man was such a bad influence - Rukia looked up to see the familiar grinning face of her Vice-Captain.

"Kaien-dono--" Odd, really, the way she addressed him as if he hadn't been dead for the better part of a couple of decades.

The way he looked like nothing ever happened.

And at least he didn't seem to be a ghost - how ironic was that? - considering that hearty slap on the back really hurt. Deciding to play this by ear, to figure out what to do as they went on, she looked over at Ichigo and gave him a casual heads-up, as if they'd just seen each other not too long ago before they were separated.

They shared a special sort of friendship, which almost always consisted of her beating the crap out of him, and him yelling the crap out of her. It was odd, really, the way their friendship worked, but she supposed that it was probably the way it was between two socially inept people.

When Kaien next spoke, she gave him an indignant look, momentarily forgetting that he was supposed to be dead. "I-I'm not in a slump!" Why was it that, when she was always around him, she felt like a colossal idiot? Turning hurriedly to her other two companions in an effort to save herself from further embarrassment - in front of Ichigo, no less - she continued. "And ah...these are my friends, Misamisa and Pumbaa."

[identity profile] fuzzymaraca.livejournal.com 2007-02-08 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
(OMG, Pumbaa in the same area as Kovu? Hope you don't mind if I drop in!)

A russet-furred lion stalked through the central station of Paixao, following an all-too-obvious scent. This time, though, the "prey" wasn't for dinner. It was an old friend. At least, he hoped they would still be friends. Kovu had seen what the city could do to people, after all. Timon hadn't even known who in the world Kovu was and the meerkat probably still thought he was slightly crazy.

The lion had intended to help Jing find his friend Kir but had taken a detour when he suddenly realized that he'd caught the warthog's scent. It was unmistakable. Nobody else smelled like that... or as strongly... The lion wrinkled his nose a bit at the thought, but he was still grinning with anticipation. At least it made Pumbaa easy to track.

He soon spotted the warthog, surrounded by a small crowd of humans that he'd never seen before. Apparently, he wasn't the only one making new friends in this place. He just hoped none of them were especially scared of lions. Walking towards them at a slow pace, so as not to startle them by rushing them unexpectedly, he called out tentatively, "Hey? Pumbaa?"

He just hoped Pumbaa still remembered him...

[identity profile] warthogrhapsody.livejournal.com 2007-02-08 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Pumbaa had no response out of Rukia since another voice had called out to her and thus it seemed they'd found who they were looking for. Two male pink-skinned creatures it seemed, and it was fairly obvious, to even Pumbaa, that they must have come from the same place as Rukia, since their manner of... weird outter skins... were rather similar. The dark-haired one seemed friendly enough, so the warthog just smiled as he plopped himself down on his haunches with an additional sound that wasn't associated with sitting down. He was rather glad to have a break.

He listened quietly till Rukia introduced him. Looking up at Ichigo and Kaien, Pumbaa gave them a friendly smile as he greeted them, "Hi there! Pleased to meet you!"

Of all things though, he hadn't expected to suddenly hear a familiar voice behind him. "Huh!?" he turned his head over his shoulder and did a bit of a double-take as a very familiar looking lion was making their way over towards them.

Hopping back to his hoofs, the warthog grinned hugely as he realized who it was. That whole possibly leading Simba into a trap and banishing thing? Eh, it didn't even pass the warthogs mind right now.

"Kovu!" he cried, "Am I EVER glad to see YOU!"

(ooc: ... *damns as she wants to do the evil icon again. Curse you Juu...* ..ACK .. I so failed. Again. I thought I'd tracked this thread... erf. *gonna fix that* Sorry for the wait. D: But hey! We got a Kovu XDDD ... and crap hit wrong reply link.. sdifojsdif...)

Get here. Right now.

That was a bit easier said than done. Kon had to travel all the way from Muspelheim to Central Station, but honestly that wasn't too difficult. It just meant he had to know where the hell he was going in the first place. That entailed him staring at the map in his journal for a good ten minutes, as he walked across some of the rooftops that belonged to this... Paixao place. Confusing, really, but either way he would get over it.

Once he figured where he was going (to Ichigo and Neesan of course, he knew that) he took off, journal tucked under his arm with the lion plush that had been his usual body when he wasn't inhabiting Ichigo's. Which he was worried about... if Ichigo was here in his body, but he was in it before he came here... and Ichigo'd already been to Soul Society... Kon stopped thinking and just ran and jumped across Paixao, hoping he was heading in the right direction.

This was answered when he started to see the Central Station, squinting his eyes like it would help to try and find the strawberry head, along with black hair that would belong to Rukia and this... Kaien guy. And he was quite lucky he found the bright orange hair after a moment. "ICHIGOOOO."

Off the roof of a building he went to tackle and/or, inevitably, get kicked by the substitute shinigami.

"Hi~!" She chirps out to Rukia's friends when she was introduced. Misa was going to say more to them when a voice calls out to Pumbaa. Almost jumping out of her skin when she noticed that it is actually a lion, Misa whimpers a little while backing away from the lion with hands in front of her lips. Misa thought of talking the lion into not eating her when Pumbaa then greeted the lion cheerfully. So they're friends?

Misa wonders if she should say hello to the lion or not. It would be nice to say hi but she is scared that the lion might then notice her and feel hungry. Misa doesn't want to be eaten! Before she could decide however, a strange young man greets the orange-haired man enthusiastically, flinging himself to the man.

A realization dawns on her as she looks at the two men plus the other person who is currently near Rukia. "Wahh~! It must be fun to have so many of yourselves!" That sounded rather strange, but really, if only there are many Misas, she wouldn't be so busy! Also, if there are two Raitos, Misa would be able to spend more time with him! Wahh~ how nice!

[identity profile] hewhoprotects.livejournal.com 2007-02-14 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
He nodded a greeting to Rukia after she had given him a similar sort of hello. He was happy to see her doing well, even though he hadn't expected to see her so soon after leaving Soul Society. Seeing Kaien interact with her was kind of weird, though. He was so relaxed and... kind of goofy. Rukia looked stressed out about it.

Ichigo felt better about the situation though. Kaien seemed like an all right guy, sort of like Renji in a way. And if Rukia was acting like that around him, obviously he was-

Ichigo's train of thought broke when he heard a voice yell his name. Automatically he spun around, his leg coming up so that the bottom of his foot connected with the intruders face. He frowned and watched as the body crumpled to the floor.

Oh. It was Kon.

Hearing Kaien comment on it, he scowled and looked to his other look-a-like (this was going to get confusing) "I didn't know! He just got here! He's normally a plushie!"

Nudging Kon's body with his foot, he sighed. "Apparently he got his own body when he got here. Oi, Kon, you okay?"

[identity profile] adoptednobility.livejournal.com 2007-02-21 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
First, a talking pigwarthog, and now a lion? Despite Rukia's current mood, the entire situation seemed to be a little more surreal. Giving the lion a little nod of acknowledgement, she was about to say hello - do anything to buy herself some time to accurately assess the situation - when Kaien came directly into her field of vision.

Heavy, large hands came down on her shoulders, and she was forced to look back at him, her eyes widening slightly at his close proximity.

Explain the similarities between him and Ichigo? Hell, she didn't even know where to start explaining things to him, much less tell him just why they looked almost alike.

"I--" Rukia's words were cut off as Kaien registered the presence of the lion. And...that voice...

Kon?!

Turning to Misa as she spoke, she managed a nod and a strained smile, trying to figure out just why Kon was in human form when Ichigo was still in his body. "Well--it seems that way, doesn't it?"

Looking down at where Ichigo was stepping on Kon's face, Rukia felt mildly grateful for a most familiar sight even as she tried not to smile at Kon's silliness and Ichigo's quick temper.

"You probably killed him, Ichigo." Rukia commented, momentarily distracted from her previous thoughts.

[identity profile] fuzzymaraca.livejournal.com 2007-02-21 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Kovu grinned and picked up his pace a little as he neared the warthog. He was about to speak when one of Pumbaa's companions spun and nailed a similar-looking human in the face with a quick and surprisingly well-placed kick. The lion blinked, thinking to himself that he was going to make a special effort not to sneak up on that guy... It looked like a really bad idea... and he'd thought that the Outlanders could be rough with each other!

It didn't seem like any of them were that worried about him, either. So much for having an imposing presence... At least they weren't coming over to kick ~him~ in the face, though!

The lion turned back to Pumbaa, managing another smile for the warthog. "Hey, it's good to see you too! I'm so glad you actually remember me! I ran into Timon a few days back, and he didn't have a clue who I was..."

[identity profile] warthogrhapsody.livejournal.com 2007-02-22 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Heh! Of course I remember you!" the warthog replied the lion, ignoring everything behind him. One track-mind and all.

"But... Y-yeaaaah... I think Timon must have hit his head or something. He didn't seem to remember a lot of things," Pumbaa added, sounding kind of confused about all that. The simple-minded warthog had a lot of trouble wrapping his brain around that one.

Pumbaa plopped down onto his haunches with a sigh, "I'm kind of worried about him. I mean, I know Timon can take care of himself, being the brains of the outfit and all, but... he is small and this place seems to be reaaaaaaaaally big!"

The warthog turned worried eyes up to Kovu, "Maybe we should go try to find him. I didn't want to go off on my own, but now that you're here... Er.. that is, if Miss Misa and Rukia wouldn't mind!"

He glanced back to the two girls who'd helped him get this far. Rukia had found people she knew, but poor Misa still needed to find her Raito. He would be kind of hesitant to leave Misa behind, but he was starting to really worry about his meerkat buddy.

((OOC: The threads getting rather..uh... full XD; So Zeth and I spoke of possibly pullin' Kovu and Pumbaa out to find Timon... of course I don't know how long that'll take >.>; But anyhoo~... thats where our thoughts are right now.))

[identity profile] choko-koneko.livejournal.com 2007-03-04 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
WHAM.

He should've expected that.

Yelping, Kon dropped both journal and plushie--although both seemed durable so it didn't matter--and held his face in his hands, orange eyes tearing up somewhat before he pulled his hands away and thusly began what might've been the usual between him and Ichigo...

"You jerk, you didn't have to kick me!" hopping up to his feet, he didn't have any hesitations towards kicking Ichigo upside the head in return for the one that had been given to him. Of course he pulled it, he didn't want Ichigo to get brain damage or something. "I get a new body and you go for ruining it already!" He still didn't get as to why he was in this body, but either way.

He did notice that Rukia was there, but she was with the Kaien guy that Ichigo talked about--who was just a black haired Ichigo, plus mullet--and he had a feeling it might've been a better idea to terrorize Ichigo first. There were moments where he had some form of common sense, at least.

[identity profile] belongtoraito.livejournal.com 2007-03-10 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Misa chuckles at the exchange between Rukia's friends. They remind her of Raito and Ryuuzaki, a little, except that she doesn't feel jealous when they start fighting like that. Misa doesn't quite understand what the one named Kon meant when he said that he just got the new body, but she mustn't show that she noticed. Misa will just remember that in case it might be of use for Raito!

Still laughing a little, Misa turns to Pumbaa with a smile when he glanced back at them. "Misa doesn't mind, Pumbaa-san~!" She tells him with a cheerful smile. Then again, maybe she should go with Pumbaa instead since Rukia has found her friends already.

"Although...," her smile turning into a thoughtful expression, she places a finger on her lips and tilts her head to the side in an exaggerated pose. "Maybe Misa should go with Pumbaa and wander around town to look for people," she suggests to Rukia. "Rukia-san has found her friends, so Misa doesn't want to trouble her by having to take Misa around!"

[identity profile] hewhoprotects.livejournal.com 2007-03-10 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
"He's fine-" Was the beginning of his reply to Rukia before the mod soul decided to retaliate on him. The kick upside his head stung like a bitch, but he managed to stay on his feet, only stumbling a little. Hands gripping into fists, he turned to Kon again and yelled. "HEY! It was an automatic reaction! You shouldn't be pouncing on people!"

Scowl now plastered on his face, he reached up and rubbed the side of his head as he looked back to Kaien again. "I don't think it's either." He thought he'd heard someone like Inoue commenting that she'd seen the plushie on some sort of show, but he never looked into it. Ichigo really wasn't much for television.

The animals were still talking, and the gothic looking girl, was her name Misa? she kept saying it, was also talking to them. She was talking to Rukia, too, so maybe they had been traveling together. Which led to the question, just how long had Rukia been in this place?

He'd just have to ask her later. It looked like she had enough on her plate.

The train had taken long enough, including waiting for it to come. Ishida hadn’t gotten much done on the train, save coming up with several ideas on how he got here. However, all were totally ridiculous and impossible. Upon arriving at Paixao Central Station, he was put off from lack of an explanation as to why he was even in this place. The fact that he was on a train to meet Kurosaki didn’t make it any better, though being with that shinigami was better than running into Arrancar. No, wait. That was a lie.

After scouring the Station and not seeing a single mop of orange, Ishida made a “tch” noise and stalked out of doors. Eventually, he found himself in something resembling a park. Lo and behold, there was that obnoxious orange head, accompanied by a pig, lion, some blonde girl, Rukia, and two doppelgangers. One was identified as the plush named Kon, if only by it’s personality, and the other presumably the “Kaien” he had heard about. One question still remained:

How in the world were the pig and lion talking?

Ishida walked up, confused as anything at the antics of the group, as well as the group as a whole.

“Quite the… interesting group, Kurosaki.”

[identity profile] fourthcaptain.livejournal.com 2007-03-22 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
It had taken some time, but eventually Unohana arrived at the station. After surveying her surroundings, she quickly spotted the group...since it's members weren't easy to miss...especially the talking animals. Unohana was sure that would be cleared up in time, though. She walked over to them, making a mental note that Hanataro had not arrived. If he did not appear soon, she would look for him, but right now she had to get settled.

Adjusting Minazuki firmly on her shoulder, watching Ichigo and a look-alike that wasn't Kaien... flail about; she remained silently behind them for a bit, as if waiting for them to finish their antics before she interrupted. After a significant amount of time she smiled and finally addressed Ichigo;

"I'm sorry I took so long to arrive...I hope no one was kept waiting."

((Sorry it took me forever to get over here x__x))

(OOC: And all this time, I had forgotten that Qing had said we could skip her because she was on hiatus... I fail at life... ^_^;;)

"Uh... well, I'm up for finding Timon again, I guess," Kovu said, although the meerkat honestly wasn't the first person on his list of most important people to find. Still, it would probably make Pumbaa happy... And afterwards, the lion was pretty sure he could convince Pumbaa to help him find Kiara... The warthog remembered her, so that meant he'd be more likely to want to help, unlike Timon. Kovu really didn't have any reason to stick around, anyway. Pumbaa's friends were probably nice (or at least some of them), but they seemed to be kind of busy with their own meeting, as more and more of them seemed to be appearing out of the crowd. Only one of the humans apparently wanted to come along, and he was fine with that.

"I guess we should get going then," he suggested. "And then we can find Kiara... She's here too. I've been trying to meet up with her for days, but this whole place is so crazy... We just haven't managed to find each other yet..."

(And on another OOC note... shall we pull out Kovu, Pumba, and Misa (if she's coming) to go find Timon now?)

[identity profile] warthogrhapsody.livejournal.com 2007-04-03 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
There were suddenly a lot more pink skinned people here and it made even Pumbaa a little nervous, but with Kovu here, he didn't feel too worried.

"Sure Miss Misa! We wouldn't mind you coming along, would we Kovu?" he said glancing to the lion with a hopeful look. Pumbaa was happy Kovu agreed to helping him find Timon. Having a familiar face was really a great relief, but he'd truly be relieved when they found Timon.

The warthog then blinked as Kovu mentioned Kiara. "K-Kiara's here too?!" he said with surprise. That wasn't good! Imagine how worried Simba would be. "Ooooohhhh.. We better get going then! Since we gotta find Timon AND Kiara!"

Looking over his shoulder he smiled to Rukia, "Thank you VERY much for the help, Miss Rukia!"

Moving then glanced to Misa then Kovu. He was ready as ever to head off, "Let's go!"

((OOC: Sounds good to me ^_^ This thread is way too crowded now lol <3 ))

[If you can snag my poor Kiara with Duma &crew, plz2bdoing. >>;;]

"I haven't seen you in forever, and then you say you already went and saved Neesan, and I'm confused and..." Kon's rambling slowly decreased in volume and general hyperactivity that usually accompanied the mod soul. More people were coming, the animals were talking, and it didn't take long for him to catch sight of white on black and Shinigami. Though Kaien was one, it seemed, Rukia knew him, and thusly could probably keep anything from happening, but he seemed t obe come... skittish.

Shifting, he moved on the other side of Ichigo away from Unohana. After he was sure he was 'hiding,' he eyed Ishida briefly with a bit of irritation--his plushie body still had that damned cross on it--before looking at said plushie. "I think it's a lion more than a bear."

Well, it did use to be his body.

[identity profile] adoptednobility.livejournal.com 2007-05-24 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's a lion," Rukia said automatically, feeling that the entire situation was rather surreal even as she contemplated the fact that Kaien still was not aware that he had been killed by her.

Then again, how was she supposed to tell him, "I'm sorry, you accidentally fell on my sword?" Looking over at Ichigo, who didn't seem to be any the wiser - well, he technically wouldn't, since she hadn't told him about it, after all - she asked him casually, doggedly keeping the strain out of her voice as she looked over at Kon as well.

How did they even get here, to begin with? Wasn't Ichigo supposed to be in the mortal realm? And why did Kon have his own body? Hell, why are there THREE almost-clones?

This really, really, was not her day. "What brings the two of you here, anyway?"
