Its the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fiiine :D [complete]

Character(s): Danny, Misha, and later on Dan
Content: Danny's more than a little bit disturbed by a message board conversation. Misha comes to help.
Setting: Actua Are
Time: After the posts made on the Message board by Dan
Warnings: Danny being a little psychotic, and an appearence by Dan later on. Which means profanity, brainbreaking, and graphic violence XD

There was a distinctive "BAM!" against the wall from Danny's room after he failed to respond to Dan's comments.

Danny set up against the headboard of his bed, he had a very firm grip on his hair. His knees were brought close to his chest and his face was distorted mixture of anger and extreme sorrow. He, after every moment or so shook his head and muttered "No...No...No..." as tears streamed down his face.

A few feet ahead of him lie his journal, and on the opposite wall there was a small indention.

Misha decided it would be a very bad idea to tell Danny that Dan had said something about trying to kill her. She wasn't exactly sure why -- dying was something that humans did, not angels. But angels could still be hurt, like by a demon. She wasn't sure if Dan was a demon, but he certainly sounded mean enough to be.

"Okay'su," she answered when Danny said he didn't want to go anywhere.

The angel girl did feel better when he said that he didn't want her to leave. She dearly hoped that meant he still thought she was an okay angel.

"It's late'su," she said. "Time for bed'su!" She gave him a quick hug and then climbed down off the bed -- she was short. "Goodnight'su, Danny-kun," she said as she walked to the door.

As Danny fell into a deep sleep, a dream appeared before his eyes.

It appeared to be the Nasty Burger restaurant just before it blew up. However, unlike what had really happened, Danny was tied to the boiler this time. And several metres away were his friends and family, all free, but...

But another Danny was there in front of them. Danny could tell...that wasn't a clone, or a duplicate...that was Dan, a shapeshifted Dan.

Dan was standing before his friends and family ten years ago. From his own future, they were all dead, long gone, buried under the dirt and known as nothing more than cold, chiseled statues.

Dan didn't turn around, he pretended not to hear his younger self. He tried hard not to smile at his shock, at his pain.

Dan instead faced several of the girls and women in front of him. Being who he was, this was too good a chance to pass up. He pinned Sam and Jazz to the floor, simultaneously ripping off their clothing and left them in nothing more than bras and panties.

He prepared his legs to kick in case any of them would come and try to get him off. They were, after all, untied.

For now, though, Dan began slapping them harshly, leaving large red welts on their chests and abdomens. He kneed them in the stomach and bit them harshly, extracting only his fangs for this purpose.

Dan took Sam's spiked bracelet from the pile, undid it so it was one long leathery string of metal spikes, and began whippping it across Sam's and Jazz's skin. Long lines of blood and scratches appeared on the skin as the two girls began screaming.

How was this for trauma?

Dan laughed inwardly at Danny's pain again. He particularly liked watching him suffer, despite being half Danny. He should feel all the pain possible, it made people stronger, tougher... and hopefully less naive.

Dan stood up, jamming his feet on the girls' breasts, arms, and then shoved his dirty sneakers into their mouths, applying all his body weight (and then some).

He moved from the women and moved to Jack Fenton and Mr. Lancer. His father and previous college roommate-slash-man "who ruined my life". His old teacher. Dan grinned and began choking them, knocking the two haphazardly to the hard ground. He could clearly hear a loud crack, probably coming from Mr. Lancer. The two men clawed at their necks, at their subordinate who was currently choking them to death.

Sam and Jazz were still on the floor, their minds broken from the horror of what had just happened. Maddie stepped forward gently.

"Danny..." she said gently, her hands on her heart. "Why are you doing this?" she cried.

Dan shot a quick, nasty glare to the real Danny before turning his head back to Maddie.

He wrung out the necks of the two men, leaving their spines and windpipes mortally wounded as they wriggled on the floor helplessly. He stood up and glared at Maddie, his mother, the crush of his life, his protector, his classmate.

"Oh my dear mother," he said nastily in Danny's voice. He grabbed out at Maddie's arm, twisted her around, and thwacked her against the cold ground, shoving his foot at her throat. He continued choking her much in the same fashion as the men before he let go and walked over to Sam and Jazz.

He kicked with all his ghostly force at their stomachs outwards, so they ended up skidding along the earth, zooming out of view. Dan quickly piled the adults together and then jumped up, kicking Jack (who was on top) in the tailbone. Jack's spine cracked even further as the two adults beneath him gagged under his enormous weight.

Even as Danny had stopped moving, everything around them was also slowing, as though it were the end of a film reel that was slowly winding down. Even the breeze faded away into nothing, and the movements of the people froze. The only things left moving were Dan, Danny... and a new arrival to the scene.

Misha stepped lightly over the rubble of the Nasty Burger, looking around. How had she come here? The last thing she remembered was entering Danny's room at the hotel in Actua Are, because her room had seemed too big and empty and she hadn't liked it.

Yet when she entered Danny's room, she'd found his sleep restless, and had put a hand on him to calm him down -- and suddenly she was here.

"Oh'su..." she said to herself. "This is a dream'su..."

Or more appropriately, a nightmare.

The pink haired, winged girl (for indeed, her white wings trailed behind her althought she didn't remember unhiding them) looked so out of place in the setting, and hurried to Danny's side. When she saw that he had sagged against his bonds and wasn't moving, she cried out, "Danny-kun!"

[identity profile] tenyears-doom.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Dan turned from his position, standing up and giving Sam and Jazz a good last kick to the stomach. He glanced at Misha, his previously red eyes melting into blue so that it couldn't be told whether he was Dan or Danny.

"I'm over here, Misha!" he called to her, running towards the angel. His face was distorted with fear, using his knowledge of human emotions to his advantage. "I don't understand what's going on here...all my friends and family are over there and their..." Dan didn't finish the sentence, instead looking away.

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
The angel girl stopped short when a second Danny came into view. "D-danny-kun?" she stammered, looking between the two. They looked the same, and her footsteps slowed, unsure which one to approach -- for the moment, she remained more or less between them.

"Please tell me what's going on'su?" Misha said. She hated to see her friend hurting and both Danny's looked so miserable right now.

"Why are there two of you here'su?"

[identity profile] tenyears-doom.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Dan cursed on the inside. Why the heck did he have to wake up? This could've gone perfectly had he not woken up...nothing to do about it now, then, except to go with it.

Dan changed his face into one of shock and concern, pointing a shaking finger at the real, 14-year-old Danny.

"He-he's an imposter! He's the one that did this to me, he--HE RUINED MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!" he shouted angrily. It seemed as though tears would fall down his face, but Dan wasn't that human. Dan retreated slightly as if scared that Danny might break free of the restraints.

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Misha's amethyst eyes filled with tears. "Please'su!" she cried, holding one hand out to both of them. "You can't both be real'su!"

She closed her eyes, as though trying to feel which one of them was the imposter. She was sure she could do it, but it would take some time to distinguish between the two auras, especially with all the chaos surrounding them.

"Please'su, which one of you is my real friend'su?"

[identity profile] tenyears-doom.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
Dan stumbled with his footing a bit to make it more real.

Hmm, she wasn't normal. Of course, Dan knew this since she walked in with those wings of hers, but angels didn't exist. There were different types of ghosts, so maybe she was a new one, a halfbreed of halfbreeds, perhaps? A mix of the Box Ghost and Klemper?

As Misha tried to figure out who was who, Dan pressed his hand against his chest and cried:

"Misha, can't you tell it's me? I--I'm the real Danny!" His voice dropped lower in that annoying way he knew Danny used. "Can't you tell?" he asked.

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Misha had begun to move towards Dan, although she was unaware of his true identity, when he called to her and asked if she couldn't tell it was him. The auras of them both were similar, but not the same...

And then the other one told her to ask something, and make it something that only Danny would know, even if they'd only known each other for a day or so.

The angel apprentice nodded to herself. To ask something that only Danny -- the REAL Danny -- would know? It had to be something...

"Danny-kun," she said, looking between them. "What are... my pajamas?"

[identity profile] tenyears-doom.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Wh-what? Why was she asking this? Dan knew he was headed for trouble, this was a trick to see which was the real Danny. But...why in the Ghost Zone would Danny know what Misha's pyjamas were?

Unless he slept with her. It was highly unlikely, and an option that Dan would rather not think about, lest his sanity (or what was left) be destroyed.

But he stayed composed. Let's not reveal myself until she's completely sure.

"M-Misha! Wh-why would I know that?" he stammered in shock. "That's a personal thing, I don't--I mean--I-I--!" Dan continued feigning shock, hoping it'd throw her off guard.

[identity profile] angelicklutz.livejournal.com 2007-02-03 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's right'su, Danny-kun," Misha answered, moving away from Dan and towards the Danny who was bound. Her expression softened from confusion into kind concern. "A bunny just like my Bunny'chan, right'su?"

To Dan, she cast a distrustful look. Now that she was sure which was which, she could see the difference in their auras. They were both green, but where Danny's was a healthy green, Dan's was sickly and tinged with red.

She reached Danny and put her arms around him, and her wings as well. "It's okay'su, Danny-kun," she said softly. "This isn't real'su. It's just a bad dream'su..."

[identity profile] tenyears-doom.livejournal.com 2007-02-04 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
Dan's mind boggled over how Danny would know that. Immediately, a sick image of pymajas flying out from beneath sheets played through his mind. He shook his head. He may not have emotions, but that didn't mean he was immune to trauma (not like it was that easy to cause it).

Dan caught the distrustful look and realised that Misha was trying to get Danny out of this dream. Immediately, he peeled off his teenaged exterior, back to his intimidating, muscle-bound ghostly body as he lunged forwards and shot out a quick ectoblast to the pink-haired girl. Not much, just enough to knock a little girl like her out of the way.
