"Damn this place!" sputtered a rather musteline creature some distance away. Juro, having had time to think things over more about what he'd possibly managed to get himself into, and after seeing that, so far, there really wasn't any place around here that he would consider as being free from disturbance (that is, without the humans), ended up losing his temper for a moment.

Holding his journal in one hand, he chucked it as far away as he possibly could from him. It didn't hit anything on its way (though he wouldn't have minded seeing it hit someone, such as one of the townspeople), but instead it ended up hitting the ground with a clatter and then slid for a moment or two. It eventually skidded to a halt a short distance away from where Pluto and Briar were.

"Tch," Juro snorted, and then laughed to himself. You idiot, he thought. You haven't changed much. As much as it had felt good to throw that, he wondered if he should actually be doing that - after all, there had to be some reason why he was given it in the first place. And why everybody he spotted seemed to have one...

What was so special about them? He didn't know, and until he found out he would try to hang onto it. He headed in the direction he'd thrown the journal, determined to get it back - and had another little chuckle as he saw the two others standing there. "Can't even throw anything here without running into humans," he said, musing more to himself than anything else. "What luck!"
