Fateful Meeting [Completed]
Character(s): Kenshin and Soujirou
Content: The Rurouni has an encounter with Soujirou (who's on his way to find Oscuro)
Setting: Around K7
Time: Afternoon
Warnings: Not sure yet. XD
Kenshin had continued on his journey through the city after the, rather well, strange, conversation with the other wanderer. He didn't really having much else to do but investigate the city, which seemed to just go on and on.
Being stuck here was starting to sink in, thus he was wondering about looking for somewhere to stay, as well as food, but to have either he needed money. So he would need some kind of work, although he didn't know what. Cooking perhaps? Perhaps not. This place didn't have any japanese influence that he could see. It seemed unlikely there would be any japanese cuisine. Odd jobs, like errands? That was a possibility perhaps. Well, maybe he could figure out something from the journal.
Worry had also begun to creep in. If Saitou and Soujirou was here, could some of the others turn up here too? Could Kaoru-dono be somewhere here? If she was here, he'd need to try to find her. Not that she couldn't handle herself, but he would hate for her to be here on her own.

To say that Soujirou was easily distracted would be wrong. However, while running he couldn't really help but stop every now and then and look around. It just so happened that while he was looking around this time he spotted a fairly familiar face. Not to say that they were well acquainted or anything.
"Ah! Himura-san!"

Hearing his name addressed out of the blue caught him offguard. Or at least appeared to. "Oro?"
Turning to look over in the direction of the voice, his expression turned more serious as he realized it who it was who had spoken to him.
"Seta Soujirou!" Kenshin said in surprise. So, the Tenken really was here...

He took a neutral stance, hands at his side. It was fun to watch Himura-san's expressions. They were so varied.

"Sessha... is uncertain if he can say the same thing," he responded truthfully. To see someone he was, well, vaguely aquainted with, only served to further sink in this was all very real. "Sessha is doing well enough, sessha supposes."
"What brings you here? Sessha thinks it unlikly you were looking for him."
no subject
"I'm looking for someone," Soujirou revealed with a wide smile. Of course it might have been helpful to say who, but that would make this conversation much shorter than it needed to be.
no subject
"Oh?" the rurouni responded, not having much else to say to that, but still vaguely curious. Who could Soujirou be looking for? As far as he knew, there was only the three of them here that had any connection to eachother.

The tenken rocked back on his heels a little, "There's a lot that you should learn about this place, it might help you." He added with a bit of mystery.
no subject
"Sessha would imagine there would be much to learn, but so far sessha can't say he's found out much, other than people seem to come from different times," he replied, thinking of the conversation with Saitou and more so his meeting with that wanderer earlier in the day.
no subject
"Oh? When are you from?" He didn't take it seriously. When one came from didn't matter so much as what one did. Even if they were from the past or the future they could still be judged with the same scale.

"No," he replied flattly. "This is Sakabatou Shinuchi."
no subject
"Ah! That's unexpected! I hope you feel confident with that sword." It would be impossible to defeat Shishio-san with a blade like that.
no subject
How would he being here effect what he should be doing? Would he return home to find Shishio's goals realized? They were dark thoughts, but he had to remain optimistic. Worrying about it wouldn't help him get home.
"Sessha is prepared," he merely answered.
((OOC: Kenshin can play the short answers game too now XD ooops .. reposted .. used wrong icon XD ))

"Here, it's different." The tenken offered.
no subject
"It is a strange place, indeed," Kenshin agreed.

"Sessha has not yet seen Saitou," he added, "Sessha does not know what condition he is in, precisely." Well, other than 'sick', which was rather unbelievable. Saitou being sick wasn't something Kenshin could picture in his mind anymore than that he had a wife.

For some reason Himura-san made him want to be vindictive. Soujirou wanted to provoke a response out of the former Battousai. "Have a good day, Himura-san." He bowed and turned to go.

"... We'll see," Kenshin said simply in reply, a small smile on his own lips. He left it at that as he watched the Tenken turn to leave. It had been a strange conversation, but he did get a little information from it, albeit vague.
"Until we meet again."
Somehow the rurouni had a feeling this wasn't the last he'd seen of the Tenken.
