we're not in iksay anymore, toto. [ complete ]
Character(s): Percival Fraulein.
Content: Percival brings sexy back. Because yes, it had gone missing for a while. Oh... he also enters Paixao, but shh. Minor details, really.
Setting: Joutenheim Gate.
Time: Afternoon.
Warnings:So much sexy it should be illegal. None.
Just when you think you've seen it all... something like this happens.
Percival couldn't even remember what he had been doing before he just woke up in front of the gates. He did recall feeling tired, but he was almost positive he hadn't gone to take a nap. Whatever the case, he must have fallen asleep... and then, of all things, he woke up in a place with fake trees and a painted sky. Surely, this was one of his better dreams. (Well, you'd think so, wouldn't you? You don't know what kind of dreams Percival has.)
It didn't seem like one, though, and he wasn't about to look like a fool by pinching himself to make sure. But he could feel himself cross his arms over his chest, and when he looked up at the gates and mumbled something along the lines of: "You have got to be kidding," he knew that he was wide awake. Wherever he was.
He did what anybody would do in that situation; follow the crowd. There was a small line before the gates, which he assumed was a line of people waiting to enter the... city. Luckily, Percival had developed a habit of both caring and not caring at the same time. It kept him from really worrying about his current situation. It also kept him from standing around and shuffling his feet like a lost, confused little boy. He seemed to know where he was going, when in fact he didn't.
And then something new occurred to him, if only for a little while. If this wasn't a dream, and he was actually there, who else was there? Surely Lady Chris would be fine by herself. As would the other knights, although he couldn't help picturing Borus ranting and raving at some innocent bystander. They could all handle themselves, sure, but he just had to wonder. And (whether he would admit to it or not) he had to worry. If only a little.
A young blonde woman was there to receive him just before he passed through, and when she addressed him he was more than happy to oblige. In exchange for his name, he was given a metallic... thing, and a bright and cheerful: "Welcome to Paixao!" Percival would have lingered if it didn't mean holding up the line. Instead, he made a mental note of the city's name, sized the woman up in a way that made her shift uncomfortably, and smiled.
Talk about a warm welcome.
Percival tucked the strange box he had been given away and proceeded into the city. He had some exploring to do.
