The Meeting of Two Wanderers [Completed]
Character(s): Kenshin, Jintetsu
Content: A drifter and a rurouni meet. ^_^
Setting: Around L6-L7
Time: Morningish
Warnings: None.
He'd spoken to a lot of the city-folk the day before, and hadn't been able to get much from them at all, much to his dismay, however they had been very eager to teach him how to use the strange object he'd been given.
It had taken him awhile, and a lot of advice, but Kenshin soon had a slight grasp of how to use the thing, although how it worked still puzzled him no end, but he decided it wasn't worth trying to understand at the moment.
The object was just one of the many puzzles about this place. Saitou was another puzzle. Kenshin had no idea how he could think he'd 'taken care of' Soujirou, when ... well he hadn't. Soujirou hadn't seemed to know what Saitou was talking about either, so at least that was somewhat comforting.
But another thing troubled him, if Saitou and Soujirou was here ... where was everyone else? Could more he knew or his friends be here? He hoped they weren't, but ... if somehow they were he would have to find them!
Other than discovering if any others he knew were here, he was at a bit of a loss at what the do. He'd been simply wandering, which was something he knew well how to do.
He'd spent one night in a cold alley, but had managed, though now felt a little still today. Slipping his arms into his kimono, he walked along the cobblestone, as he wondered what to do. Oblivious of the strange stares of the city's people who paused as he walked past. He was used to it, so had no problems ignoring it.

no subject
"...Han?" he echoed. That caught the rurouni a little off-guard. Three years into the Meji era, 'han' had been abolished in favor of prefectures. It had been sometime since he had heard that word used. "Er, you mean... ah, no it is not important," Kenshin said, having a feeling it was rather pointless as he was very sure they were no where near japan, much less in a han or prefecture.
"This ... is apparently somewhere called Paixao, and does not appear to be in Japan at all," he lifted the journal from where he had it stashed carefully in his kimono sleeve, "That is what sessha has been able to determine from this... er... "thing" at any rate. Sessha was near Kyoto before he ended up here... This is... most confusing, that it is..." he explained, passing what knowledge he had on, which wasn't a lot. He wished he could be more helpful, but at least he was able to offer more than the bystanders gave.
