...Hello? [Complete]
Character(s): Lenne, Lucrecia
Content: Two strangers meet and have an interesting conversation that ends with a friendly agreement to meet and board.
Setting: PIMP'D (Paixao Instant Messenger Deluxe)
Time: Late morning-ish
Warnings: None
CrystalCrescentx: ...Hello?
Faythful Opus: Hello.
CrystalCrescentx: Sorry if I'm bothering you....I'm just trying to see who else is in this place...
Faythful Opus: You aren't bothering me at all. I was wondering the same thing, actually..
CrystalCrescentx: I actually arrived quite some time ago...I just...haven't been able to get alot of anwsers.
CrystalCrescentx: what about you...? If you don't mind me asking, of course...
Faythful Opus: I don't mind at all. I arrived just today, actually. I...still don't know how I got here. I was hoping to get some answers from the messageboard, but...
CrystalCrescentx: ...I don't know how I got here either....oh! I'm sorry, my name is Lucrecia.
Faythful Opus: I'm Lenne. Nice to meet you, Miss Lucrecia.
CrystalCrescentx: It's nice to meet you too, Lenne! ....Where are you from?
Faythful Opus: Zanarkand. What about you?
CrystalCrescentx: Zanarkand...I've never heard of that place before...I'm originally from Kalm. I've lived in Midgar a while though, then later Nibelheim.
Faythful Opus: You've never heard of Zanarkand?!
Faythful Opus: ...This...may sound a little strange. I haven't heard of those places, either...
CrystalCrescentx: huh....what do you call the planet? Maybe....
Faythful Opus: The planet? Spira, of course.
CrystalCrescentx: ....Then I think...we're from different worlds.
CrystalCrescentx: We call ours Gaia.
Faythful Opus: Different worlds...is that possible?
CrystalCrescentx: seems so....
Faythful Opus: ...What's Gaia like? If you don't mind my asking..
CrystalCrescentx: Oh no, I don't mind at all...Well....I haven't seen it in years, really...but...
CrystalCrescentx: Everything around Midgar is quite and average, very green landscape. Midgar, though. Was our largest city....you can't even grow plants there.
Faythful Opus: It doesn't sound too different from Spira.
CrystalCrescentx: really?
Faythful Opus: Really. Only, I don't think any of our cities are that densely populated, not that I recall anyway.
CrystalCrescentx: Midgar is terribly over populated.
CrystalCrescentx: Though I don't see who would want to live in that city by choice....very musty from all the mechinary everywhere. Not to mention the Shin-Ra building looming over everyone's heads.
Faythful Opus: Mechinary? ...Like machina? And what's Shin-Ra..?
CrystalCrescentx: Shin-Ra is a power-company, but much more. They run Gaia in a way.
Faythful Opus: The closest thing I can think of to that is Bevelle, but..
CrystalCrescentx: hm?
Faythful Opus: No one likes to talk about it. Bevelle is a machina city similar to Zanarkand, but its machina is nowhere near as advanced. They use their war machina to make a political statement...
CrystalCrescentx: weapons...?
Faythful Opus: Pardon me?
CrystalCrescentx: war mechinary...? We call them weapons.
CrystalCrescentx: ...Shin-Ra has a group of..."special" individuals called SOLDIERS. Very, very strong people who fight for them. They're not like war machines...but similar in it being Shin-Ra's way of making a statement.
Faythful Opus: I guess some things don't change, regardless of worlds...
CrystalCrescentx: Seems so, unfourtunately.
Faythful Opus: Lucrecia?
CrystalCrescentx: yes?
Faythful Opus: Have you ever heard of the Fayth?
CrystalCrescentx: ...Fayth? No, I don't think I have....
Faythful Opus: Oh. I was just wondering..
CrystalCrescentx: ...what is it?
Faythful Opus: The Fayth are...how to explain...
Faythful Opus: The Fayth are humans who willingly give up their lives to have their souls sealed in statues. As Fayth, they can communicate with summoners with whom they've established a mental link. When the Fayth dream, the summoner can access his or her dream and...realize those dreams physically as aeons. Aeons are powerful creatures that aid summoners in battle or in special times of need.
CrystalCrescentx: Oh...wow...There's not really anything on our world like that....
Faythful Opus: I was thinking the Fayth might have had something to do with our being here...but it seems unlikely if Gaea doesn't have any...
CrystalCrescentx: we have....a lifestream.
CrystalCrescentx: ....enegry in a sense. That circles throughout the planet. When one dies they return to the lifestream....maybe that's how I....but that still doesn't explain....
Faythful Opus: Wait a minute.
Faythful Opus: Actually, that sounds very familiar.
CrystalCrescentx: oh?
Faythful Opus: Yes. In Spira, there are bundles of life energy called "Pyreflies". They appear as floating, flickering balls of energy when you can see them. When a person dies, a summoner is required to perform a ritual called the Sending. You see, a person's soul won't necessarily go back to the Farplane -- our name for Spira's core. If left unattended, the soul might not leave the body...and when that happens, a fiend is born.
CrystalCrescentx: Oh I see...it is similar.
Faythful Opus: Kind of strange, too.
CrystalCrescentx: It is. but...interesting, none the less
Faythful Opus: I agree.
CrystalCrescentx: ...Lenne? Do you have a place to stay..? You just arrived, correct?
Faythful Opus: I'm afraid I don't. I'm not even sure about the currency in this place...
CrystalCrescentx: I'm not sure about the currency either but....I'm currently at a hotel or somesort. You're welcome to drop by. I'm sure there's another room and it looks pretty empty...
CrystalCrescentx: ...I hope those white things are gone, though.
Faythful Opus: Are you sure it wouldn't be any trouble? I would hate to impose...and I'll find a way to pay you back, of course.
Faythful Opus: ..White things?
CrystalCrescentx: ....monsters, it seems. They swarmed us a while back.
Faythful Opus: I haven't seen any since I arrived. Maybe they're gone?
CrystalCrescentx: Hopefully. I haven't checked.
Faythful Opus: I'll keep a look out for them. Umm..where are you, by the way?
CrystalCrescentx: near Vanaheim....and you?
Faythful Opus: Muspelheim, I think...
CrystalCrescentx: hm...I'll have to check the map to see if it's close by....
Faythful Opus: If it isn't, that's okay, too. I could use a walk, I think.
CrystalCrescentx: Alright. I'll check and get back to you.
Faythful Opus: Okay.
CrystalCrescentx: it doesn't look too far...
Faythful Opus: Great. Hm...give me a minute while I figure this thing out. These controls are going to take some getting used to..
CrystalCrescentx: Take your time.
Faythful Opus: ..I got it. Okay, I'll start heading over that way.
