Log; Active.
Character(s): Lucifer
demonlordnomore; anyone who wants to come welcome him.
Content: A former Demon Lord arrives.
Setting: Vanaheim.
Time: Around noon or early afternoon.
Warnings: None, actually. He's tame right now.
His flight had been long and far, and finally, after miles and miles of ocean, he saw land. Only an island it was, but good enough; even demons liked to rest once in a while, even though they all but needed to. Upon approaching, he was able to give it a closer look; it looked rather odd with all those artificial spheres taking up much of the space, which was after all rather large, at least in human measurements - because human things tend to look rather small in a demon's or angel's eyes.
Ahh, an angel, now that was the right word, for he had come all this way looking for one. And find her, Alexiel, his Alexiel - or at least he liked to think of her as that, although fully aware that she might not agree - find her he would, above all other things. She had just vanished after it had been over, and he had missed her presence bitterly since then and yes, worried, for her state had been rather on the critical side shortly before they parted.
A tiny feeling pricked at him from beneath his conscience, and he shortly narrowed his eyes, then landed. Landed in front of one of the fringe spheres, where nearby there seemed to be an entrance, neatly framed by... fruit trees, of all things. Of course, he immediately thought of the irony, should Alexiel ever have stood in this place and looked upon that gate, but something told him that was not the case.
With secure, serene steps he closed in on the gate.
Upon getting nearer, the details became clear to him. Between the trees, there was a booth, to the side, and people were surrounding it, a great variety of them, in all shapes and colors. It seemed they wanted to get in there.
Then it hit him, with full force. Alexiel was here, her aura shining clear as day, and managing to warm up a little place deep within his center, where no one ever saw. Now the next few and rather quick steps toward that gate were entirely out of his control, and before he knew it, he stood in a queue. Having fully noted that, he knew that it was the right thing to do, since it certainly would help his goal. He wasn't exactly in the mood to cause a scene by destroying one of those squeres covering the island.
Warily, he eyed the people around him; they seemed to be human, mostly. Some looked quite... colorful, to say the least, and some looked entirely untrustworthy. Everyone seemed to be occupied with themselves, though. And then there was the clerk at the booth. A very young woman, quite pretty, with long, shiny blonde hair that was pulled up into a bun, pale blue eyes and an equally pale complexion. She radiated a gaiety that was somewhat shallow. Lucifer found himself scowling slightly.
And then it was his turn, finally - about time, he wanted to find Alexiel as fast as possible - and the woman greeted him with a smile that was a bit too broad and the words "Hello, Mister! Welcome to Paixao, is what this city is called, and I hope you'll feel well here! Here, you get a present too!" Somewhere on his forehead, a vein must have been standing out just a little bit. He was, however, quickly handed a more or less small, square object of a bland gray color that looked like, ah, what did humans call it? A notebook, a portable computer, just considerably smaller. One of Sakuya's friends had possessed a similar thing, he remembered. Not that it mattered.
He shot the woman an inquiring glare and was promptly explained: "Oh, this is an electronic journal, where you can write about your daily experiences here. It's quite popular! You can also participate in a message board and exchange private messages with other citizens as well as comment on their entries." His lips thinned.
Nonetheless, Lucifer Morningstar took the thing with him and entered the city.

Nonetheless, Lucifer Morningstar took the thing with him and entered the city.

Which was what he was currently doing.
It was dull, though, and the arrancar supposed that dullness was a part and parcel of a being who stood in between life and death. Despite having a pale hand on the hilt of his sword, Oscuro's stance was relaxed even as he took in the sights and sounds of the city.
While his previous self, Okita Souji, would have been interested in the city and its inner workings, Oscuro felt only a detached sense of curiosity. Cities like that really didn't matter in the grand scheme of things; the person seeking to have power over said cities did.
Stopping at one of the gates as he felt a strange sense of...something - a shift in power, perhaps - Oscuro's violet eyes shifted to the newest arrival in concealed curiosity. How...interesting; the spiritual pressure he felt was nothing like a human's.

Curious about this person watching him and slightly irritated, he let his gaze search the place. The stranger was made out soon enough, for Lucifer felt a rather strong power - for humans, anyway - radiate from the person as soon as he laid eyes on him; a male in traditional Japanese clothing, with long, black hair - and Lucifer felt distracted for a split second, because he had looked like that once and it had been when-
Anyway. Those were times past, and now it was time to investigate. Who knew, maybe the person even had seen Alexiel.
"I seem to have caught your attention. Why is that?"

Sensing the mild irritation coming from the new arrival, Oscuro paused for a moment before responding simply. "You're not human."
Well, it was a classic case of a pot calling the kettle black, but Oscuro wasn't quite about to waste time getting into the social niceties that the world seemed to dictate as the basics of manners.
Basics of wasting precious time talking about nothing, more like.
Would Aizen-sama be interested in this one, though? His creator seemed to be on the lookout for more potential...allies, or subordinates, and Oscuro felt like it was his duty to perhaps look around a little, to see if there was anyone worthy of the great Aizen-sama's time and efforts.
Well....everything in time, he supposed. Now, though, he regarded the other man with barely concealed curiosity even as he continued languidly. "You're far beyond the realm of humans, aren't you?"

He could sense the other man's curiousity quite sharply, and it didn't please him in the least. It seemed almost as if he was being measured up like a piece of meat. His eyes hardened.
Lucifer was never one to play his cards openly, though, and so he left it at that for now, the stranger pinned with his stare.

Meeting his gaze evenly, Oscuro wasn't surprised to hear the other...being's observation. He was as far from human as he could get, and he dimly realized that he probably didn't mind it at all.
"Indeed," Oscuro responded plainly, sensing his displeasure. Hm, perhaps he should not have been so straightforward. "You're not from here, I presume?"
no subject
"I have a question, though; you don't happen to have seen a... woman who is similar to me pass by?" The description wasn't much to go by, for a human, at least, but maybe the man would catch the implication.

Inclining his head mildly, Oscuro almost smiled. "I'm afraid not. If her spirit energy was anything like yours, I'd remember." His voice was soft, almost casual, retaining the almost dulcet tones of the swordsman Okita Souji. "You might want to try asking around, though. The others would probably know."
no subject
Well, there was nothing left to say. "I will do that. Thank you for your... help." But there was not an inkling of gratefulness in his voice, nor in his demeanor, so that the expression almost turned into a taunt, almost. The little nuances had always been his speciality.
Without further ado, Lucifer passed by the other man and went down the street he had been facing with rather quick steps; though he was careful not to let his hurry show.
If there was anything he had to do now, it was finding her.
