Magic was a privilege [complete]
Character(s): Zidane, Delirium
Content: Zidane's off to try and find Roxas. And sure, Dib too. He ends up waiting for a train.
Setting: Paixao Central Station [J6]
Time: Late afternoon
Warnings: General Zidane-ness? Uhh... light use of language.
Magic was a privilege that Zidane wished he had. He especially wished he had that teleporting crap that Sir Flamealot used. It could have saved him some time, searching the city by foot to find some duo under attack.
He was personally trying to just avoid the odd creatures flying through the sky, though once or twice wondered if he could latch onto one and use it to his advantage. That was a bit risky though, and he wasn't exactly in a risky sort of mood.
Axel said that Roxas could probably handle himself. Zidane knew a lot of people that could handle themselves, and still could fall. he wasn't about to sit back and waste time.
He'd gotten a bite to eat on his way to the center of Paixao and now, with his hand holding his closed journal to his side, stared up at the train station. Perhaps that would be of some help? Except that there were multiple tracks... Four, to be exact. He knew one of them was out of the question, since he had just come from that one's direction... Which left three.
... he did have enough money on him. With a sigh he went into the station and immediately seeked out on of the men who worked there. "Hey! Excuse me... HEY YOU!" Maybe it would have helped if he had actually approached the man, but with enough flailing and yelling, the man finally came over to him with a slight scowl on his face. "Slow poke. Hmm... So when's the next train due in?"
"How does a ruffian like you even have the money for it?"
Now Zidane was scowling. "I've got the money, thank you very much!" You'd think he would be respected! Honestly! Zidane had even considering climbing up the building (after the Ceu de Mouraria, this would've been easy) and jumping onto one of the outgoing trains and not having to pay a cent. But no, Zidane did have some morals and thought it was only right to spend some more of Axel's money. Ha.
The man seemed to dislike having to actually do his job at that moment and grumbled, "The next one arrives in about fifteen minutes from now, due for Vanaheim." Vanaheim. Ha. Back where he started, huh?
"None of them are bound to be here in, say, five minutes?"
"No."
"Damn."
"You going to sulk about it in here?"
"No, I'm going to sulk about it outside and vandalize some stuff."
"YOU BRAT -"
Zidane smirked and waved him off. "Kidding, kidding. I think I'll just wait for that train." He sighed and stared around the station, wondering if walking would be faster.

Delirium was missing her dog.
She thought about that, while wiggling her toes (which then became covered in knee socks, the striped kind with rainbows and quarters on them) and then she was wearing shoes too (the floppy kind left behind on free tables) and then she was wearing overalls (the stained kind the artist three doors down and four across in the building by the dumpsters used to wear) and a jacket (because it was nice and had pockets) and no shirt (because she forgot).
Oh. She was somewhere else now? Delirium looked around, tilting her head as her hair decided to get really curly and long on one side and short on the other.
"...oh. i think this isn't here."

Ha! The great-and-famous (though not so much in Paixao) Zidane Tribal! ... waiting for a train. At least his last meal had reenergized him again, but still... he blinked, looking towards... someone. Was he imagining things?
His tail flicked to the side. Maybe I've just finally lost it... He would've sworn he saw Delirium.

Someone was calling her. Delirium turned on her heel and tilted all the way over, head resting on the ground, before letting her body tumble over so she was sprawled. A blink, slowly, before she rolled over onto her stomach and grinned.
"soFt thing!" She announced, because she had found it. It had been so very bad because her soft thing had been losted and might have been lost forever. So it was very good that she had found it.

Failed horribly and got found by Axel instead, but it was the thought that counted! Yeah...

"...okAy~. uHm, you got so vEry loSted," She told him, because he had and that was bad. Being losted was dangerous and lonely.

He smiled. Good! He was in luck then. "Hey, and maybe we'll find um... Barnabus too." Though he sometimes wondered if the dog was here. He mostly figured he wasn't, but how could anyone really tell? Really... a dog... big city...
... he was getting off track.
"There's a train that should be here soon, I've got enough money for us both!" he gave her a thumbs up and make a small smile to her.

"...oH, gOod. i liKe riDing." Delirium nodded sagely at Zidane. In her mind this was all going according to her master plan. The plan itself was very complex and had lots of parts and couldn't be properly explained... but this seemed like it would be a good fit in her plain. Riding the train and then finding Barnabus and the Sroax.

Zidane held out a hand towards her. Like an offering but not really. "So then, shall we go?" He figured it would be in soon enough anyway. That was a real plus... couldn't be certain that they'd be safe though... He sighed. Sometimes he was really missing Alexandria.

She bounced, once, twice, and then grabbed his hand, depositing a single candy wrapper in his palm and looking up at him expectantly. They should get going of they were going to find the people.
no subject
He blinked down at the candy wrapper in his hand. ... Unexpected. Delirium. Unexpected. Delirium... Yes, he should really have remembered that the two went hand-in-hand. He kept himself from laughing and clutched the wrapper in his hand, bowing to her like he would in a scene of a play to a royal woman. Even his voice was very... "actor"-like. "Thank you, my good lady."
Zidane pocketed the candy wrapper. So his list of people/animals to find was now Roxas and Barnabus. He really doubted he was going to find either one, but he had to try on both. He did find Del after all, right? Well. She found him or ... something ... but ... ahhh ... no matter.
He turned his head to the station and then 'eeped' in the most dignified-Zidane-way possible and grabbed for Delirium's wrist lightly and started to pull he quickly. "Oh shit! We're going to miss the train... and i still need to buy tickets!"
Bravo Zidane, bravo!
no subject
"...oh. tiCkets." She had tickets in her pocket. Delirium pulled them out and held them out. Of course, they were tickets to the moon shuttle in year twenty seven fifty of the alternative universe... but he didn't know that. She collected randomosities.

"Hm?" Zidane took the tickets after skidding to a stop and stared at them oddly. They couldn't have been train tickets. Paixao was a strange place, but even with all the strange-ness, these didn't seem to fit in with it. Then again Zidane wasn't just going to toss them aside. If they could get away with these tickets, then he was all for it. And Zidane would make sure they managed it. "Oh. Well. This should work."
He walked through the station more calmly, remotely positive that Delirium was keeping up with him. He wondered if it would have been more of a good idea to hold her hand, but he wasn't 100% the guy for doing that. His mind had a tendency to wander, too.
He realized slowly that the train he was heading towards wasn't the one that rude station-attendee told him would be coming in. Zidane supposed that it didn't really matter and all that did matter was that the train that was in was getting ready to leave. He grabbed out for Del again (more like flailing around for her until he ground wherever she had strayed) and made a dash to the train while toting her behind him.
"Sorry about my slowness it won't happen again thankssoverymuch!!!" he shouted quickly as he past the boarding director and threw out the two tickets towards him, smirking lightly when they fell to the ground and he had to scramble to get them.
Zidane waved as he jumped on board, making sure Del was on safely after him and only relaxed when they were nearly out of the station and he could hear: "HEY THESE AREN'T -" in the distance and then they were gone.
