The morning light gleamed off of glass windows, though its light was not genuine. The same light streamed through every building, filling the nooks and crannies of Paixao, relieving it from the choking cover of night. The artificial trees glowed brilliantly with the same lifeless light. No lines stood behind them. No people awaited permission to gain entrance into the city.

There was no sound… no life…

But hours passed and the citizens soon awoke, beginning their monotonous routine. The streets soon became crowded and bustling. Chatter entwined with the morning air.

And then so did the screams.

Another being made its way into the morning hassle: the Nobodies. Beings with no heart… those who were left behind… empty shells of what they once were. And these were unique Nobodies. The Dancers… fluid in motion… every step precise… They ravaged through the streets, picking and choosing the worthiest of targets only to find none.

Who would quench their thirst for battle?

He didn’t expect it to be so loud and chaotic when he arrived at the Vanaheim gate. But it was a good sign. It meant the plans were already in motion. He would now make certain that they went off without a hitch.

It was so nice to not wait. Marluxia strode right up to the gatekeeper, who was hiding under his desk. A coward. Marluxia slammed his palm down on the desktop and the gatekeeper popped up like a jack in the box. He looked pale and frightened and had probably wet himself or something of the like.

“My journal, good man.” Marluxia extended an open hand at the gatekeeper. The man didn’t move. Marluxia closed his eyes wearily and barked, “NOW!” The man jumped a mile and practically threw a journal at him before ducking under the desk again. Marluxia caught the flung journal and opened it casually. He noticed the usual drabble about people being lost and looking for others. But among them was a little notice from Demyx. Marluxia typed a quick response before slipping the journal into his coat and pulling up his hood.

He ventured into the Vanaheim area proper now. Nobodies were out to play this day; most notably of them, Dancers. The hand of Demyx was in this already. Now to find the man and solidify his wavering attitude.

Marluxia walked along the nearly deserted streets, letting his ears guide him. The sounds of battle were not far now. Up ahead there were flashes of light and yells and struggle. Someone was taking on the Nobodies! How quaint. Marluxia hurried closer, prepared to back up the Nobodies if need be. He got close enough to notice someone fly up quickly. Maybe that person had targeted Demyx. Either way, he’d stay on the ground level until he heard Demyx’s shrill screams, which could never be mistaken for anything else.
