So... that sun wasn't too much of an interest now...

Daniel had left with the Corinthian--neither's name he had gotten, but he did not mind really as he was sure he would meet them again, either in person or over the journals--and Rin was left by himself once again. He didn't mind it, he'd been alone for most of his five years away from Toshima. Except when he fought live opponents. But these opponents now were of the interesting variety. They were not human, that much he knew, and he had to dig through his brain to see if he actually had any knowledge of things like this in the fairytales he knew that his and Shiki's mother might've told them when they were small children. His memory failed him, and he had no information to supply to himself about the situation. This brought on a frown of annoyance, one of the more rare frowns that may cross his lips.

The first white creature that lunged at him was sliced in half with great proficiency. He had watched it disapear with a confused look across his face, before he stumbled forwards when one of the taller one's attacked, the one's with its fingers buckled together. Cringing, he put a hand to his side where he'd been hit. He felt blood, and showed his teeth somewhat. These things were... vicious creatures, and he felt their only intent was attacking the public. Of course, the populace of Paixao was screaming their lungs out... Rin decided to pull off his jacket and sling it over a shoulder, to keep it from getting messed up so he'd be able to have something intact for later. It didn't take him long, but he was fighting a group of the Nobodies at a time, and quickly wondered where they kept coming from. They all looked the same, but he knew that a lot of them weren't the same one he'd just killed two seconds ago.

It didn't take long for him to get mobbed, either. They lunged and attacked, contorting in their freakish ways that out-did those of the Igura's tortured. He'd seen what happened to them when they were still alive, strung up and twisting around. He'd seen a couple of the bigger one's dangle from the air like on ropes, and the smaller one's turn into shields and swords. They were definitely not human, definitely not animals. They were something, though. And they were overpowering him easily now, especially with the mass amounts of them. He didn't even have blood on his sword, and it was bothering him. Rin felt another latch to his side, and bite him or scratch him or something that left marks across his ribcage. He had to get out of there. So he crouched down and jumped quickly out of the circle that'd started to surround him, swallowing his pride and making a run for it to the neighborhood that lied awaiting before him. He wasn't about to let himself get killed over this kind of thing, honestly. If he stayed there much longer, he would be definitely shown the difference of powers. Still, he ran holding his katana out, blade length held pointing back behind him. Rin somehow knew that the creatures were everywhere, so would have to find a good place to hide out in the little neighborhood of houses. Damaged pride or not, Rin valued living when his opponents were practically brain dead with only one intention; attack.

...

Suddenly, Rin also realized that despite his brother's skills, he too would be in danger. That would be something he would address once he got himself into a safe building away from the Nobodies. Shiki would never admit it, but... Rin knew he was no match for the weird, white, flailing creatures that disapeared into nothingness. His brow furrowed, and he decided to run faster to the farthest avaible entrance, and easily forced entry into a building towards the outskirts of the terrace. He would tend to his wounds with whatever was avaible, and then would locate his brother. But... there was a feeling Shiki would not be so excited to accept Rin's help. And there was also the Cheap Prayer... would Linali-chan be safe with the Punishers and this miss Urara? The Punishers were good, but would they be able to fight the white things? He would find his brother first, however. He was his only priority aside from keeping himself alive.
