Dusk Attack RAWR [Completed]

Character(s): Soma, Sword, Dusks....
Content: Soma and Sword get attacked en route to O Pastor! =O ZOMG!
Setting: H8, near Nifelheim area's Cafe Eresat
Time: Week2, afternoon
Warnings: Potential violence ahead?

Sword let out a quiet mewl of surprise as he was scooped up into the air, finding himself clinging to Soma's ankles and trying not to look at the ground. His stomach did flip-flops when he did.... It did a different kind, though, when he saw the things emerging from the energy blossoms, fully-grown flower children of hell.

They looked.... deadly. Even without the full use of their fingers. Who had managed to belt them together, anyway? Honestly, these things looked ten times scarier than most of Nightmare's monsters.... They looked unpredictable too, like they had no motor control whatsoever--the gaping blackness showing through their strange mouths suggested it was so.

He swallowed a whimper as the Dusk came at them, but was glad he'd been picked up facing backwards, jerking a little in Soma's talons to draw his sword and point. "Soma--behind us! What are those things?" He'd definitely never seen one before; it wasn't something any small group of Dreamlanders could handle, by the looks of it. Well, maybe Kirby, if he had help.... but inhaling one of those things didn't look like it would be healthy at all.

Soma swept the blade of Laevatain clean (there was little more than soot on its surface) and slipped it back into its sheath on his belt. The air of dark power surrounding him did not go away, but even so, there was a calm center to it; as if, even with all this -darkness- flowing from him, he was still in control.

The reason for that glowed softly at his throat; the charm Mina had given him.

"There is someone in this city I must go to. She's in terrible danger. Will you come with me, Sir Sword?" His tone did not sound hollow, but there was a definite change in timbre to it; as if someone else were using Soma's voice.

He could feel the currents of dark power flowing through the area; they whirled and eddied, flowed and stagnated, festering so much in some areas that it seemed they must summon some demonic force through from the nether realms. It was almost like home; but the creatures here did not answer to him.

Yet.
