Outside the Nighclub is the Dayclub [Completed]
Character(s): Demyx, Dib, Roxas, Haruhi and whoever needs to get out of hiatus mode.
Content: Demyx and Dib are searching for Demyx's "friends" and decide to take a break.
Setting: Outside the Wild Ginger
Time: Week 2, Afternoon-ish
Warnings: None
So now he had this kid with him, Dib, or whatever... That didn't mean Demyx was off to a good start in this city. He managed to slip away from the Deeablow guy, which was nice, but now where was he? He didn't know the geography of the city well and Dib was new too. So that meant the two were forced to wander.
For quite some time.
The wound their way to a very odd building that stood out from the rest. It almost had a 'Land of Dragons' feel but it most certainly was not homey. Demyx had absolutely no plans to go inside.
"So hey Dib," the Nobody began. He had gotten exceptionally used to the boy's presence but also came to believe that he was a little weird. Of course a lot of people here were weird.
"We still didn't find any of my friends and it's going to get dark soon. Any ideas?"

Oh. The idiot was talking to him again. Dib pulled himself out of his thoughts and looked at the large, brightly lit building before them. Probably way too swanky for the likes of him and Deniks or whatever the guy's name was. He sighed and gave the Nobody a reproachful look. "Don't you guys have a base of operations or some form of contacting each other? What kind of organization are you running?"
((ooc: *fails at html. AGAIN.* DDD:))

Roxas folded the brochure after locating where he thought he was and put it away in a pocket. An annoyed sigh slipped out, followed by a yawn. Urgh. Several feet away, there was what he read just now in the brochure, 'the Wild Ginger'... it looked rather expensive. At that moment, the dirty blonde spotted a figure that was oddly familiar. It was the other idiot-- Demyx. Well, the boy mused, the dummy might know something more than he did. Next to Demyx was a weird looking boy with a rather big head. Huh.
"Don't you guys have a base of operations or some form of contacting each other? What kind of organization are you running?" The other boy was asking accusingly. At this, Roxas took a couple steps and said coolly--more to himself than anyone else--"You see, it wasn't a very organized Organization and I'm guessing it still isn't..." He turned his head toward the taller Nobody.
no subject
But Demyx had no clue how to answer his questions. Thankfully someone else did.
"You see, it wasn't a very organized Organization and I'm guessing it still isn't..."
The Nobody nodded seriously and crossed his arms. "Yup. That's right! We're very--"
Waiiiitasecond... Demyx knew that voice! He whirled around to see Number Thirteen, Roxas. Wow! This was great! Someone else that Demyx knew! Finally!
"Hey little buddy!" Demyx shouted, voice full of joy. He took the smaller Nobody up in his arms in a tight bear hug that lifted Roxas from the ground. "It's so great to see you! You know I couldn't find anyone but Larxene and that was on the journals! Where have you been?"
no subject
"You two are comrades, I'm assuming?" he asked Roxas. He refrained from saying friends; something about the kid said he wasn't the type to have friends.
no subject
Suddenly, he realized that Demyx was looking at him a bit too happily. Huh. Next was probably a hug. Roxas did not like the thought a bit, but did not move one step, waiting for it to come... Here it was. The boy felt his feet leave the floor and soon, the embrace of the taller Nobody. Suppressing a sigh, Roxas said without smiling or irritated, "Can you put me down?"
On the side the boy with the rather large head was asking a question directed at him, "You two are comrades, I'm assuming?" What a question it was. Turning his head--seeing how Demyx was taking his time reacting--but still not looking at the boy, the dirty blonde replied, "That depends on your outlook on the situation in the Organization but yes, we are comrades."
no subject
"Oh!" Demyx gasped, realized that the smaller Nobody had asked to release him. "Sure thing, Roxas." Carefully, Demyx set him down on his feet.
Wait! Where were his manners?! "Hey Dib! This is Roxas! Roxas, this is Dib! I met him out at one of the Gates!" Demyx was so impolite. Neither of the others knew each other. It was his responsibility to introduce each of them.
"... Situation?" Demyx pondered over Roxas' words. "I haven't talked to anyone for awhile. Is something going on in the Organization?"
Inside the club
The natural Host Club member stood in front of the mirror looking at the stupid bunny outfit she was wearing. It wasn't the bunny suit that the twins wanted her to wear a while ago, but a short black dress with bunny ears and tail. And it had taken a while for her to get used to the shoes they wanted her to wear.
Oh well, it was the only place she could get a job at, and they paid so well. Hanging down her head, she left the apartment, making sure to turn the light off, and lock it behind her.
The day hadn't been as bad as some other days. Being a waitress was more like just being a Host Club member, having to listen to customers just like at school. They would talk and she would listen, only a few times having to yell at customers. Oddly enough, the management did really mind when Haruhi had to yell and force people to leave. Saved them money from having to staff a bouncer.
Haruhi served a group of people their drinks and headed back to the kitchen with her serving tray held against her chest. Sighing, the commoner pushed the kitchen door open, hoping to get a drink for herself before the next group showed up.

Dib nodded in greeting to Roxas. Even though he seemed closer in personality to Lucifer, there was something about him that connected him to Demyx. Though they didn't look it, Dib could sense that they had something in common besides the outfits. But what? Dib hoped he'd learn soon enough.
A large, fat raindrop hit Dib squarely on the nose, causing him to sniff and look up. They even had artificial weather in here? Fascinating... he'd have to research it later. Another drop landed on his glasses, and he took them off briefly to clean it up. "Would you guys mind taking this inside?" he asked as he pushed his glasses up his nose.
no subject
"Hey Dib! This is Roxas! Roxas, this is Dib! I met him out at one of the Gates!" The boy heard distantly. Not quite considering his manners, he simply stared at Dib (was it?) to show the amount of consideration he had for the other boy-- which was, very little at the moment. Then again... this Dib might have put that head of his to use... After some time, Roxas watched Demyx being the usual kook he was, considering it looked like the taller Nobody was actually thinking. "I haven't talked to anyone for awhile. Is something going on in the Organization?" The boy didn't pay any attention to the question, putting on his hood again after he felt several drops of rain.
Demyx's companion to this point must have felt the rain as well for he briefly took off his glasses to clean them then asked--yet again, another question--"Would you guys mind taking this inside?" At this, Roxas slightly smiled and replied, "No one likes getting wet little by little."
OOC: I kept on getting reminded of fanfics pairing Demyx and Roxas XD *shot* I'm contaminated. Gah~
no subject
"I don't know how you don't like it!" Demyx whined to the other two. "Rain is so soothing. What isn't there to like? I could stay out here forever!"
But of course Demyx's power was water-based. It would only be natural for him to love the rain so much. Roxas didn't have powers like his and he was pretty sure Dib didn't either. Now he felt guilty and selfish. It was obvious that the two didn't want to stay outside.
"Uhh..." the Nobody rubbed the back of his head uncomfortably. "I guess we can go inside though." A smile. "Maybe we can get something to eat?"
no subject
"I guess we can go inside though. Maybe we can get something to eat?" And who was going to pay for it? Roxas mused. It didn't seem Demyx or Dib had a great deal of money, and this place looked rather expensive. Nonetheless, the boy--with his hood still on-- walked into the building without waiting for a reply from the musician or the large head boy.
[ooc: XD I like crack and canon~ hehe *shot again* Oh, and also, I found a lot of small grammar mistakes in my post so this post is the second time I'm posting it. SORRY! TT^TT]

"After you," he said to Roxas. For once, his tone was genuinely sincere, as it was obvious Roxas was much sharper than Demyx. Speaking of which... Dib glanced over his shoulder to see if the Nobody had followed them in or was still standing in the rain like an idiot.
no subject
Wait. Where did they go? The Nobody spotted Roxas and Dib already entering the establishment and he called out to them. "Wait for me!" He ran, catching the door before it blocked his pathway to the satisfaction of food. Politely, he took the time to close the door so it would not slam behind him.
"Sooo..." The musician looked around. It was a nice place... kinda. It was more like weird if you asked him. Demyx crossed his arms and looked around. "Now what? Do we have to wait to be seated or do we have to go ask someone?"
no subject
The Nobody took off his hood to get a proper look at the owner of the hand; on his right, leaning over a counter there was a young woman with pale skin and shocking blue eyes and blonde hair that was a shade close to white. There was a slight hesitation on the boy's part... Seeing this, the woman gave a giggle then lifted her hand from Roxas. "Dear sir, please slow down. There's room left for you and your fellow gentlemen." She began, smiling sweetly, "How many seats?" The thirteenth scowled but still managed to answer curtly, "Three."
There was another giggle, which was followed by, "Right this way then," and a number of steps around the vicinity. Roxas reluctantly followed the waitress to the table and sat himself down, glancing around to see where the other two were. Meanwhile, the woman gave another giggle and left for the kitchen.
[OOC: Hopefully, this post doesn't have as many grammar mistakes as the last one -.-;]

"What would you like to drink?" she asked, looking at the one who seemed the youngest, the one with the black leather and blond hair.
She wanted to ask them about this Paixao place, since they seemed like they would know more than her. It had been a while since she had seen Paine or Rukia, so it was comforting to see people who didn't look like the locals.
no subject
Speaking of, this place was pretty cool! Weird... but cool! It wasn't too crowded, which was nice, and the decorations were just awesome. Demyx felt like he could stay here forever!
The Nobody took a seat next to his comrade and was suddenly greeted by some waitress. Wait... she wasn't blonde...?
"Oh yeah! I'd like something!" Suddenly, Demyx stopped. But what was he going to have...? "Uhh... do you have water I guess?"
no subject
Not that Dib would know anything about that...Apparently this place wasn't exactly a family restaurant, then.Honestly, though, Dib wasn't actually hungry. He'd just wanted to get inside before his equipment got wet, and this was the closest place. "A water for me too, please," he added after Demyx ordered, carefully averting his eyes from the more curvy parts of Haruhi's body. Water was usually free, which was good. Though with these "swanky" places you could never tell...
no subject
How absurd it would be if this place charged them for water.
no subject
The Host Club member fixed her bunny ears, sighing again at the absurdity of the outfit. But being the ironing board she was(which many of the other club members would like to tell her about) the outfit just looked goofy on her. She really wished she would just wear pants and a t-shirt but money was money. And they had the best Ootoro at the Wild Ginger.
"I'll go get you you're waters," she said heading off into the kitchen.
no subject
The chatter of the establishment was all that was heard. It was quiet at their own table. Too quiet.
"So uh guys..." The Nobody shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "When did you show up anyway? Oh yeah!" A idea suddenly sped through Demyx's mind. "Where are you from, Dib?! I bet it's really interesting! What's it like?"
no subject
"I'm from Earth," Dib replied, purposefully as vague as possible. "It's mostly filled with jerks, losers, and idiots. You'd fit right in."
no subject
After meditating over more ideas that caused him to think in circles, Roxas withdrew himself out of his thought to heard Dib say, "I'm from Earth. It's mostly filled with jerks, losers, and idiots. You'd fit right in." The boy lightly chuckled, then added as lightheartedly as he could (which isn't very), "Yeah, Demyx, I think you would even fit into two of those categories. You could fit in well." For the first time in a long time, the blonde smiled-- just a little.
no subject
"Hey! Wait! No!" The musician whined. "W-what was that for?" Demyx bumbled over his words in astonishment. This kid just came out of no where and started making fun of him? Wasn't Dib his friend? Well... now that he thought about it almost everyone in the Organization made fun of him just--
"Not you too Roxas!" Childishly, Demyx pouted, eyes full of disappointment. "Now you two are ganging up on me! That's not fair you know... I was just trying to be nice. And it was too quiet..."
The Nobody continued to pout. Getting teased was something he had gotten used to but that didn't mean he liked it. His mind and thoughts began to drift aimlessly until they were off the subject of mockery entirely.
"When do you think our drinks will come?"
no subject
"While we're waiting, why don't you tell me more about this Organization?" Perhaps subtlety was the one word Dib had never heard of.
no subject
"Not you too Roxas! Now you two are ganging up on me! That's not fair you know... I was just trying to be nice. And it was too quiet..." Demyx was disappointed, the boy thought as he saw Number Nine pout. He turned to the taller Nobody, gave a feeble grin and a friendly punch on the shoulder, "Hey, we'll find a way to cheer you up." A nervous chuckle served as a finishing touch before Roxas began to ponder yet again, ignoring what sounded like a question that came from the large headed boy.
However the musing only lasted a short while for the blonde heard the word "Organization"... It seemed easy to leave without everyone's notice but at the same time, it haunted him nonetheless. There was the fact that Roxas found a new piece of information that intrigued him... the individual who was his other self... Sora... The Organization rarely answered his questions, for most members only interested in their person gain and the boy was in some ways, in the way... It wasn't fair. He was still in Organization XIII wasn't he? His departure was only supposed to be temporary; but what would his peers, or maybe former peers, think? More importantly, did they even care? And in addition to that, if a majority of the Organization did think the Thirteenth left, he would receive less information to fulfill his needs to become whole. A sudden flood of questions filled Roxas, causing him pause for a moment to prevent a headache. Then after a minute or two, the blonde continued to muse with his right hand cupped around the said side of his face. A realization hit him; there was a high chance Roxas was now branded a traitor.

"Hi," a wide grin was spread across her face, "Here's your water. I apologize... I imagine it took quite a while. That is always troublesome." She noticed that there wasn't a single menu on the table-- a bit more work for her then. "Anyhow, is there anything else you'd like to get?" She inquired as she handed two of them a menu then took out a pad from her red apron pocket. There seemed to be some hesitation but that could have just seemed that way to her.
no subject
"Nah..." The musician grinned. "I don't need any cheering up!" And then the waitress arrived with their orders. Demyx's eyes grew large as a child's would at the sight of a mountain of candy. "Thanks!" He accepted the glass gladly and took a long swallow. Oh that hit the spot.
Demyx mused for a moment, suddenly remembering Dib's question and ignoring the waitress entirely. "Uhh... Nah. They aren't that interesting anyway. I found Roxas so I'm good. Thanks for your help though!"
no subject
Roxas sure was quiet, Dib noticed. He couldn't help but wonder what the mysterious kid was thinking so intently about, thanks to his naturally strong scientific curiosity. Or maybe he was just nosy. But really, Roxas intrigued him. At first glance, he was cold and callous, yet he made an effort (albiet a clumsy one) to cheer up Demyx. What was it that was bothering him so much? Taking a sip from his glass, Dib observed Roxas from across the table. Some might have taken it as staring.
no subject
For a brief moment, he turned to scowl at the reflection of his face on the floor. Pull yourself together. With great effort, Roxas managed to sit up straight in his seat. Dib seemed to be staring at him. The former thirteenth decided to ignore this for the moment... but failed and end up asking aberrantly, "What is it?" more sharply than he intended to.

This distraction caused the Nobody to completely miss the tension rising between Dib and Demyx. He turned to see the two staring at each other, Roxas a little angrier than Dib.
"Can I help you two?" Demyx asked, looking at both boys. "Did I miss something or what? I swear that if you two keep staring, your heads will fly off and eat each other or something. I'd kind of not like to see that if it's okay..."
no subject
"Okay, listen up," he said to Demyx, setting his glass on the table. "I helped you, so you have to help me. You may think that your little organization is 'boring,' but most things people find boring actually interest me. It's called a 'love of learning.' So try me - tell me a little bit about them."
no subject
"I helped you, so you have to help me. You may think that your little organization is 'boring,' but most things people find boring actually interest me. It's called a 'love of learning.' So try me - tell me a little bit about them." So he wants to learn about the Organization. Before the other Nobody could answer, the blonde said bemused, "The Organization would be boring to someone like you. It's nothing of importance to you and should not interest you either."
no subject
"I helped you, so you have to help me. You may think that your little organization is 'boring,' but most things people find boring actually interest me. It's called a 'love of learning.' So try me - tell me a little bit about them."
... Could he answer that? Was he allowed to answer that? He wasn't about to get in trouble with the Superior if that meant revealing information about the Organization XIII to others. Man... They sure sent the wrong guy out sometimes.
"Yeah yeah!" Demyx's head bobbed in agreement. "Roxas is right! There's nothing cool about us at all really! We're just a buncha friends doing... friend... uh... stuff?"
no subject
The blonde shot a quick, sharp glance in the taller Nobody's direction. Did he still think that he was in the Organization? Maybe not. Maybe Demyx was taking his help for his own good: to prevent any trouble between the musician and the Superior. Retrospecting, Roxas remembered what he had said very early into the night. "You see, it wasn't a very organized Organization and I'm guessing it still isn't..." Right. Organization XIII still wasn't very organized. He mused on his opinions relating to it. Should he try to rejoin if he wasn't kicked out already? But really, that wasn't his style at all. Number Nine was bobbing his head up and down, agreeing to his statement very easily.
"Roxas is right! They're nothing cool about us at all really! We're just a buncha friends doing... friend... uh... stuff?" At that moment, he felt the very need to punch the man next to him. After coming up with a good answer, Demyx ruined it. Dib wasn't a stupid kid. Nonetheless, he took the effort to prevent himself from doing anything rash. But the Nobody was basically promoting the fact that the Organization was doing something suspicious and significant! Wait. Significant... Was the Organization onto something that he wasn't? Unintentionally, Roxas mumbled incoherently under his breath menacingly. He really did need to find something else to think about.
no subject
...Okay, did Demyx honestly think that would be enough to satiate Dib? If anything, his evasiveness was only piquing Dib's curiosity. The little scientist rolled his eyes and slouched in his seat, propping his chin up on his hand. "Look, it's pretty obvious you're hiding something from me," he said. He fixed a sidelong glare on Demyx. "You see, the last thing I remember is infiltrating an alien base. Then I wound up here. So obviously something crazy is going on, and I fully intend to find out what - whether you help me or not."
A threat? No, Dib didn't consider it as such. It was merely a statement of fact. It's not like he was planning to hurt anyone, anyway. Well, except for Zim, but that wasn't anything new.
no subject
Roxas was a broody one, wasn't he? That kid really needed to cheer up. Demyx liked him well enough but sometimes it was like he sucked all of the happiness out of the conversation. Frankly, if this was the only reason the rest of the Organization didn't like him, then it was just a matter of getting this kid to have a brighter attitude... right?
"Look, it's pretty obvious you're hiding something from me..."
Immediately a frown formed upon the musician's lips. Now Dib, he was different from Roxas. He kept pressing where he shouldn't and even Demyx found himself getting frustrated. He was given information that was not supposed to be told to anyone and that was that.
With a lower, more serious tone, one that was uncharacteristic of the Nobody's usual disposition, Demyx spat, "I'm not telling you that."
no subject
even if it's thiiiis late~ I'll post using the NPC user sometime Sunday afternoon so if the muns want your characters to reply to something here, slid it in before THE PLOT OF DOOM starts. ))Infra, he decided it was better to stop the glaring, and the excessive amount of contemplation. But all of these thoughts weren't the blonde's fault: no one ever clarified his "other" history. Another topic would cease to put him in interest. He wanted to refrain for romanticizing any thoughts or thinking in general. There was no need for it-- he was after all, most likely, conveniently closer to what he had been searching for... Sora. Before the name rang in ears like it usually did, Roxas attempted to become attentive to the way life was now. Right now. More action less thinking.
Dib had begun questioning again. Roxas began to form another question to the question but stopped himself midway. Instead he thought aloud quietly, "Stop prying." It was rather matter-of-fact and brusque but then again, the Nobody wasn't used to conversing with more than one person at once. Following this was a similar response from Number Nine: "I'm not telling you that." He even snapped. This was rather extrinsic to the boy who couldn't help but gawk at Demyx for several moments-- which was rather unusual of him to do in public.
Even though the Thirteenth had promised himself he wouldn't, he just had to ask the final questions for the time being. What was the Organization really doing? For sure there was a high probability Roxas was no longer a member, but what about the other small percentage? Why hasn't anyone come to kill him yet? Most importantly: what did they know that he didn't?
no subject
It was just then that Dib suddenly realized he was, in fact, much smaler than either of his companions, (presumably) younger, and he didn't really know either of them well at all. In fact, the only things he did know were their names, they knew each other, and they were members of an organization. For all he knew, it was an organization of assassins or serial killers.
Dib concluded it was in his best interest to stop asking questions for the time being.
"Sorry," he muttered sullenly, drawing back from the table a bit. He'd let his stubbornness and his ego get in the way again, having assumed that, because he was (probably) smarter than either of the two, he could therefore get what he wanted out of them without objection. Obviously, such was not the case. Darn it, why did he have to be so much younger than everyone else! That was probably the only reason he didn't get the respect he deserved. Nevertheless, he scooted in his seat so he was positioned for a very quick exit, if need be.
no subject
"Sorry."
Demyx eyed the big-headed boy with a slight pout as he mulled over his apology. Dib did seem to be honestly sorry. He just crossed over a line that really shouldn't be. Demyx was all up for chatting and answering questions but when the Superior wanted to keep things hush-hush he was sure going to listen. But that's beside the point.
"It's okay!" The Nobody visibly brightened as he rose from his seat. "I just gotta get going guys. You know... places to go... people to see..." Demyx laughed at his own little joke before waving to the two.
"See you around Roxas and Dib! Look out for that guy we saw earlier too! He's freaky!"
And thus the musician had left the building.

no subject
During his mental crisis, he heard a mildly familiar voice somewhat sing, "... We're going to close now." Right. After a moment of idling he rose from his seat and headed out the door.
It wasn't raining anymore: there was no smile on his face, nonetheless, his eyes shone and showed signs of life.
(( PWAH~ the coming end of the thread. Dib-mun, do you want to go around with Roxas for a bit more or split up? ))
no subject
Dib obediently followed Greta's cheerful command and slipped out of his chair. He followed Roxas out the door, glancing up at the "sky" once he exited the building. Huh, stopped raining. That was one good thing anyway. One good thing against a landslide of bad things, of course.
He lowered his gaze to Roxas and waited for the boy's next move. Though nothing was said, the assumption was that Dib would follow Roxas with the slightest encouragement. After all, unfriendly as he was, Roxas was a lead. An unfriendly lead was better than no lead at all, so Dib was prepared to dog his steps as long as it was safe.
no subject
He felt a slight brush of air next to him-- it was Dib. This was a bit of a surprise to him, after all, Roxas had believed that shorter boy was the more of the sovereign type. Number IX wasn't considered much of a companion to a Somebody like Dib (or at least in his terms of reference). The best the musician could be was to be the companion of other Nobodies like him. Anyhow, Dib didn't seem to be a type of person to follow others without a benefit on his part.
Well. They two did have to spend the night somewhere. Slightly flustered, Roxas took out brochure quickly to glance at a location they could stay. The first that caught his eyes was Haja o Que Houver, apparently a family owned hotel rather South from here, near... Vanaheim. That wasn't a predicament. Without waiting for the large-headed boy's response to his actions, Roxas pulled Dib in with him into a black hole that appeared near them.
