Kiara seems to understand what is going on, but not on a higher level of conciousness. Though she doesn't know what Duma is, she doesn't catagorize them with the humans she has been assuming to be baboons with funny leaves on them and no fur, except on their heads. He is different, and she understands that without really thinking too much on it.
